Another fantastic experience and this band just does not disappoint. My first run at MSG and another solo show to take in all of the sights and sounds. The setlist lagged a bit mid-set but overall it was a great performance. No covers with a somewhat predictable set closer with Ants and E2 Grey Street but it had all the fixins for a tremendous sing along. Solid crowd energy and the band put in the effort to help us along. I've come to expect moments that are a bit slower on a N1 when there is a N2 but it was all good. I appreciate Tim's bluesy contributions as we hear on BTCS and it was on full display tonight. Louis Cato was a fun guest but had a layer of familiarity the dampened the excitement. This is a special venue with a special band performing and I could not feel more fortunate to be part of the scene. Thank you all, thank you DMB

The band had good energy, but the flow was weak and something was missing. Even though it was N1, I expect a little more from an MSG show. Loved YNK, If Only, So Damn Lucky, WWYS and Some Devil/Grey Street Encore. Feel like I may need to take a year off from the band. Had the same feeling at the end of Boyd's run with the band when something just felt off.

Band sounded good and had good energy (although MSG speakers need to be improved, sorta muffled at times) but this was a very bleh setlist. Weak run of 10 songs to start the show. End of main set was good and encore was good. LIOG guitar stuff with Louis Cato was epic and probably the highlight of the show. Best news is there is a lot of good stuff left to play for night 2.

I’m reviewing this 15 songs in and it’s arguably the weakest show I’ve been to out of 40+ It’s not redeemable at this point. Here’s hoping for n2 floor seats

My second time at MSG for DMB and I went with my Uncle who is a casual DMB fan. Tough first half for a casual DMB fan looking for something from the 90's. Highlights for me were YNK, Crush, & LIOG. Enjoyed the guest spots from the Late show band in the second half.

Some highlights, but no show should EVER have Can't Stop and Bayou both in the set.

awesome show. wild setlist and perhaps not for those not interested in less familiar songs. you might die trying outro never disappoints, YOU NEVER KNOW?!? so damn lucky always a treat, and i love the RIFF! what would you say was particularly lively, stafan jam + rashawn on crush, squirm is another hidden gem. just a filthy bayou and of course the american baby intro out of lying in the hands of god. LIOG was the #1 highlight, stay (and even ants) had a little extra. some new vocal patterns/arrangements on stay and elsewhere throughout the show, all good! grey street closer was perfect.

Ok show. Went with Raven, Dan, Amy. New got us tickets. Sat in Section 105. Dan and Amy came late, Amy left early. Had a good convo with Amy during Crush, but upset to miss Crush.

By far the worst setlist I've heard. Band's energy seemed low, and the crowd took notice and was just not feeling it. Horrible first half, second half was better, but it was too late as the damage had been done with the wet blanket of a setlist that they started with. Hopeful for everyone going to night 2 because it can't get worse.

Sorry to say but this was one of the worst shows that I have seen in a long time . Band was just not into it. No energy, was like they didn't want to be there. What a waist of my time and money. Hopefully N2 will make up for it. Always love to hear Christmas song.

Look. The band is pretty much always on point. However, after 75+ shows this setlist was close to the worst I've experienced. It might be something I would expect mid-summer tour somewhere as Dave might be feeling self indulgent. However, this is MSG. Fans don't go here expecting average. Setlists don't need to be epic every time, but his disregard the last two years to night one is too obvious a pattern. I think he is aware many folks come both nights and throws away, so to speak, night 1 performance which will then make night2 seem even more amazing. Just a thought, but I might be taking a long break from this band. Sorry. Not cool Dave and I think you do know better.

Not sure why all the hate. Incredibly strong setlist. Loved YMDT and You Never Know to start. The Riff a rare treat and the highlight of the night, LIOG sit-in. Definitely worth a relisten.
