Really high energy show. The "slow" songs included things like Satellite, Grace is Gone, and I'll Back You Up...IBYU was definitely a treat. Being in the pit always seems to bias my review of a show but really thought they started at a high level with Seek Up and kept in going. Definitely one of the better shows I've seen from this version of DMB.

For the fourth show in a row, I have left the venue thinking, "If that's the last time I see them, I'll have ended on the highest note and can be content knowing that I saw them at their best." They just keep getting better. Dave's voice has never sounded as great. 15-minute Seek Up opener FTW.

Great setlist and the band was on point. Would have enjoyed some more from Jeff (esp on 41 or LITHOG) and Buddy, but I'll take it. Great show.

I will give this show 5 stars relative to others of the post-Boyd era. Great to have Seek Up as the opener, but I don't think the band hasn't still figured out how to replace Boyd's part in that song with Buddy. Satellite followed by Rapunzel made for a great 1-2-3 punch, but the show would have had better flow if the setlist was written was Rapunzel #2 and Satellite #3. I was thrilled to see the return of Sweet Up and Down, but I was a little surprised as to how weak it sounded without the violin (go check out the version from the 2007 summer tour sampler). I have to say that the version of #41 was a dud (again, maybe they just haven't figured it out without Boyd). So Right was one of the show's highlights, the band just crushed it. Grey Street, the third verse, wow - that was my 27th Grey Street but first with the third verse, so an instant highlight. I'll Back You Up was a great surprise for the encore, but have to say the vocals and acoustic guitar didn't sound great. Good version of YMDT, neat to see it in the encore, but would have liked to see a different closer. Other highlights included Stay or Leave, Lover Lay Down, Grace Is Gone, and a fun SMTS -> ASTB -> TM run, which helped make for a great set (real throwback with only 3 songs post 2005's Stand Up). All in all, superb setlist, good flow, a lot of energy (I think the band came out refreshed from their tour break), some solid song performances, not the same sound without Boyd, but definitely one of the highlights of the 2021 tour. So happy to have been there :)

Loved the set and the band was into it all night (FTWII was the only bummer for me). Had great seats right in front of soundboard. A+ DMB experience.

Dream-like setlist with all early stuff other than a few songs from BWATGGK.... Band was tight all night and just took me back to early days, but with precision and musicality this band is capable of.

Granted I'm a bit jaded and I've seen 10 shows this tour, so take my review with a grain of salt. Seek Up as an opener is absolutely spectacular. It's a great way for the band to get the crowd into a frenzy, especially the intro portion. I can personally never see Satellite ever again and I'd be content. Early set PNP > Rapunzel is a welcome change of pace; seeing it as a closer or E2 is stale as hell. Squirm is a fun song and the band plays it well, but I always get blue balls when I see that little red guitar expecting Idea of You (or if there's a God, Shotgun). The run of Stay or Leave, Sweet Up and Down, and #41 was spectacular. I wish they gave #41 it's jams back (ie. Sojourn of Arjuna or Common Freestyle). So Much to Say > Bridge > Too Much is almost comically formulaic at this point, and while it certainly amps up the crowd, I wish the band put a little spice on it (new interpolations, teases, etc.). Lover Lay Down was a stand out performance from this year's versions, and So Right was a great contrast. I did notice some of the transition cues in So Right weren't as polished, but it still sounded great. Lying in the Hands of God has the same problem as SMTS>Bridge>TM, with each performance blending into each other. Would love to eventually see the band kick off the training wheels and jump into a full ABI and burn down the stage. I'm excited that Nancies & Warehouse are getting more play than usual. Tonight's version of Grace was solid, and while I'm pretty bored of Funny, it was interesting to see them segue together. What You Are was a complete smoke show, and I'm so glad it's coming back for the end of the tour. Grey Street is a predicable end of show song, especially for a broadcast, but I'll never get tired of the crowd's reaction to third verse. That shit never gets old. IBYU was magical. For those 4 minutes, it felt like the whole ampitheatre was silent and let the song lightly hang in the air. YMDT is a good way to get the crowd going for an encore, but I'm not a fan of it in that slot (a bit overdone). So, you read this far. Did I like the show? Yeah, I like all DMB shows I go to. Was it a top 5 show for me? Eh, I'd say it was slightly above middle of the pack for me. There's plenty of room for tomorrow's show and a ton left on the table. If I was only hitting these two shows this summer, I'd be leaving pretty happy with this as a N1.

Great to see the whole band as my last shows were the three at the Gorge without Stephan and Carter. Band seems tight and Fiddlers had good energy. The venue is growing on me.
