Another fine experience with DMB and really appreciated the opportunity to visit Texas for some shows. Great time in the lot pre-show hanging with PJ, Chris, Gina, Paul, and Heater. Fairly straight forward venue with not much unique about it. The band was energized and gave it all that they had as they usually do. Set list provided variety and some surprises although six repeats from Woodlands was disappointing, new tunes held their own but will take time, Buddy was good but solos were much more limited than I would have thought, Tim\'s explosions were managed and much more timely but not sure how I feel about him singing backup vocals. Good crowd energy and everyone was having a good time. With that being said it became clear to me that we are seeing a very different DMB than ever before and without the violin they are lacking one of the unique essences of their sound, keys and the fill ins from Jeff, Rashawn, & Tim just do not cut it. I understand Woodlands & Dallas is not a genuine two night stand but both shows had a similar feel which has not occurred for me in the 40+ shows I have seen since 03\'. I noticed it a bit on N1 with WWYS & #41 but was too excited to just be back with band. I could not ignore it on N2 with Ants & Tripping Billies and it made me sad. I will always love this band and all the time we have shared, but I am not encouraged as to what the future may bring.

Great show. A little uneven, with a couple of songs I wasnít super excited to hear the opening notes of. Fortunately, the band had such great energy through the night that, by the end of the songs I wasnít crazy about, I was jamming along anyway. Plus, You Never Know is always great to hear! Dave, Carter, and Stefan seemed to be having a great time, and the crowd responded. They seemed much more vibrant than I remember them in Ď16.

What a great show! Great song and great set overall. It was awesome to hear the new songs and the new guy on the keyboards. Given previous luck, I was dreading the moment when they'd bust out "Jimi Thing" and I'd sit and play on Facebook for 20 minutes while they noodled around, but praise God, it never reared its ugly head!!!

Phenomenal. Buddy Strong was an amazing edition and this was the most energetic Iíve seen DMB in recent years. Loved every second of it.

Hell of a show, and awesome crowd energy just like the Woodlands the night before. Loved BOWA at #2. Dave messed up in You Never Know but pulled it off. The big surprises for me were Nancies>Warehouse. Those were 2 songs I didn't think they could pull off without Boyd, but they did very well. Just like in Houston the night before, Buddy didn't play piano (only organ and electric keys) on any songs (except for SAWG), and Warehouse is one of those songs I feel desperately needs piano again. Hopefully Buddy will bring in piano again. Did not like "She" at all. There is no DMB sound to it (have always felt the same way about Samurai Cop). Bayou, again, was bad ass. Stand Up was another highlight for me with the funky Shotgun (Junior Walker) outro by Buddy and Rashawn. They pulled Ants off pretty well without Boyd, although it's still not the same without him. The 3 song encore was probably the highlight of the night. Even though they repeated Crush, I thought it was killer, and even better than the night before. Billies was another one I didn't think they could pull off without Boyd, but it worked out well and had great energy. The crowd makes the shows for me, and the crowd was full of energy tonight and so was the band. Hell of a show. Can't wait for the Gorge when the band is fully settled in.

Setlist and energy from band and crowd were all great. Tim destroyed Dancing Nancies. I missed Boyd on STJL but overall it was an awesome show with a really good encore. The band is off to a great start!

I don't mind repeats of new songs from the Woodlands...but repeats of oldies is a bummer.

I for one missed the presence of the violin in several songs. Tim did a great job substituting but it wasnít quite the same. The energy was great and I am eager to see some more shows this summer.

Parts seemed empty without Boyd but the energy was incredible. Buddy Strong killed it and they put together a great set.

Much better and consistent energy from the band the full show. Although, wondering if Rashawn was a bit under the weather as he seemed to be dragging a bit and down in the mix, although it could have been crappy sound on the right in the Dallas pavillion! Still figuring out the keyboards. Brilliant in Hands of God but either too much in some spots (e.g. Satellite in Houston) or missed opportunities (e.g. Crush and Ants). They\\\'re also still figuring out backfilling for Boyd. This was especially evident on Billies. But great to hear these songs. Looking forward to how Austin sounds.

Couple missteps and more repeats than I hoped for from last night but still a good show. Not a great show, but a good one. Horns were especially a treat. Buddy is a nice addition. Still some kinks to work out I think. Will see what Austin brings.

After hearing BOWA and YNK I was so stoked. Getting 6 repeats tonight definitely hurts my overall impressions of the show. I do not think they sounded as good overall tonight, but the Woodlands has always had a far superior sound quality so that is probably why. Got another debut in She. I hope it was just the venue, but it sounded like a wall of sound to me. Hopefully it gets better. I will say that Jeff killed it tonight. On BOWA and Billies especially. This band clearly does not need BT. Closing with Ants and then having Granny, Crush, and Billies in the encore pretty much cemented that in my mind. They could play Billies a ton this tour and I would not mind it one bit. Jeff went off. Not to end this on a sour note, but I have a fear that Stand Up is the new Jimi. Never thought I would ask to hear Jimi again, but if it meant I would never have to hear Stand Up again I would do it in a heartbeat. Edit: after listening to the download of the show. I was definitely in a hotspot at the venue. I still do not care for She, but it sounds much better than it did from where I was sitting. Really wish Dallas would just build a new venue. Like others have said they are still rusty, but you can tell the energy from the recording. Heading down to Austin now for the show tomorrow night. Glad to be back in pit for Austin.

Great Combination of songs - love the classics and appreciate DMBs new stuff. Nancies into Wharehouse was worth the whole show and love Ants ender before a killer encore.

Outstanding set list with some rare ones - Steady as we Go, You Never Know, Minarets, and a She debut. The band had incredible energy, and played like they were relieved, in a way. Dave was dancing and jumping around and playing with great energy, as was the whole band. I was very concerned that they wouldn't attempt to pull off certain songs (Ants, Nancies, Billies...) so soon without Boyd, but they did and they nailed it. I noticed the familiar violin missing, I will not lie. But, the whole band stepped up to bring the energy and fill in the holes. Buddy Strong was also a fun addition in the mix. No Butch Taylor 6 minute long keys solos here - he blended well and added a fun extra layer.
