Show No. 38 for me, and it\'s gotta be Top 3. I\'ve seen the band at SPAC about 10-12 times since 2003, went to Gorge Caravan in 2011 and have seen some other special shows. And on paper this set is below average. But wow, what a show! The band was SO tight, crazy extended jam at end of 41, hands down best Bayou I\'ve ever seen or heard with Mark Batson and the string section for a few songs was mind-bending. Throughout the show, Dave kept saying how it was the last show of the tour and that the band might indulge more than usual, and that he was being selfish (meaning on jams, I implied) and it was clear. He also said \"We sold this MFer out!\" and seemed grateful that the fandom remains as strong as it is. I\'ve heard a lot of people in LA say that the band hates playing here (or has in the past) b/c the crowd is distracted, but this show blew that notion away completely. It was incredible and I can\'t wait to hear it back.

My wife and I had the absolute best time! I was the winner of the Prizeo DMB/Reteti Elephant Sanctuary contest. The prize included round-trip airfare to LA for two, 2-night hotel stay, two VIP concert tickets (garden box), pre-show VIP lounge access, a post-show meet & greet with Dave, and a custom Rockbridge guitar! Everything was spectacular! The setting was amazing, our seat buddies in the box were so excited to hear about our contest winning, and of course the meet & greet with Dave was fantastic. Got to meet Brian from Rockbridge & producer John Alagia. Also got to meet Harry Shearer (The Simpsons), as he was waiting with us in the meet & greet group.

Really enjoyed this show. We always have high expectations because its the last show. So, did the band meet those expectations? No. This was my 78th show. Great box seats. Dave sounded great. Highlights were Squirm and WWYS.

This was my 58th show and probably a bottom 10 for me. Having said that, there were some incredibly unique aspects of the show, notably the orchestra that came out for a few songs. I liked hearing the When Iím Weary song debut, and it was easily the best Squirm Iíve ever heard. Another highlight was the Stairway interpolation during watchtower. Totally awesome. The sound at the bowl is never good and the crowd is usually less than stellar so that may have contributed to be being underwhelmed. But it also felt like they were in super chill mode. Dave rarely ďwent for itĒ vocally, which suggested he was feeling a bit tired because it was the end of the tour. The rest of the players were low energy as well. Jams and solos often didnít take off (everyday, 41, ants marching). Something about it just felt sleepy. It was my first show without the presence of the violin and I certainly found myself missing it periodically throughout the show.

Outside of the absolutely awful sound, this show was worth seeing. Was great to see the band mix it up with the mini orchestra setup! I wonít be re-visiting this venue again.

Awesome Jimmy Thing, Squirm and one sweet world was solid. The flow was awful and way too many new songs. Maybe my expectations were really high being that it was the tour closer. But it was below average for me.

Great show! Lots of Dave speak at this one which is always great. He spoke for a couple minutes while they brought up the string section to pass the time. Mark Batson and the other guests were great. Good good time! Grateful for every second!

Was not expecting there to be a pit at Hollywood Bowl but so glad that there was. Never really thought they would play When I\'m Weary but glad I saw its debut - not good enough to be part of a regular rotation but maybe it will not get played again and this performance of it will in time be a real gem. Thought for sure we would get Superstition but they fucked us with Watchtower instead. At least they did a segue into the end of Stairway to Heaven which I have never seen before

Unreal with the strings. Dave looked me in the eye several times through the show and smiled, and at the encore break he took a pic with my phone. After the show he looked through the crowd for me, found me and shook my hand. What a guy. Phenomenal night, even if the set wasnít great.

Lots of new stuff, and definitely feel the void left without Boyd. They still jam though. Louisiana Bayou is a surprisingly good live song, forgot about that one. Also very nice touch to bring out the orchestra.

Sick show! Loved when they brought in the orchestra in for 3 songs. Dave had to speak a lot during the tear down and setup, which was quiet funny. Guest horns and Mark Batson was a treat! Dave kept on apologizing for being "selfish", which I assume was for their song choices.....I think they really pick some songs they REALLY love playing together with this being the last stop of the tour. Didn't mind a bit :)
