The show was great and the venue was intimate but the crowd sucked. The venue may be gluing people to their seats, somebody should check into that.

I have lived in this area nearly all my life (so I feel I have all rights to diss) and I gotta say that was the shittiest crowd I have seen in my 50+ shows. No wonder they didn't come back. Show was ok. I had fun and couldn't believe they played less than 20 miles from me!! And Dave's comments on Jackson made me laugh

18 shows total and that was the best one yet. Just wow.

Well where to begin? Not really the best set list, but the band sounded good and looked like they were having a good time.
Count me among the haters of the studio TGIY. However, it was a lot more tolerable live, especially because Dave\'s mic was not working at the start so we got to hear more of the music itself before his mic came on. The falsetto is less grating live and the horn section adds a lot.
Rapunzel through BOWA was smoking! Loved the set up to this point...
And then Cant Stop. I actively avoid it on live releases but this was my first time catching it live. It did sound retooled and and much faster than I remember. Not something I would prefer but catching it one time was not so bad. Then Steady As We Go. I wish I had to pee at that point but I didnt.
Warehouse! One of my absolute faves. I\'ll take it every time. Seven was Seven. I know it is overplayed but it is a guilty pleasure of mine. Then #41. The outro was awesome, but then right back down we go...
Shake Me Like A Monkey. I dont get to go to shows usually but about once a year and I am still tired of this one. and What You Are. Just blah. Dont care for it. It was ok in 2010 only because of the jazzy intro.
Granny is great as always. A little too much organ but otherwise love it every time. Do You Remember was nice. It is nothing great, but also inoffensive. Dave said he wrote it for or in memory of a friend...
You and Me. I just had to accept the good song, bad song roller coaster at this point.
But next Typical Situation!!! my first time seeing it since Memphis 1999! This was probably the highlight of the night. the jam was long and good! I was surprised how late it was at this point and kept thinking we were due for a closer but it kept going! Why I Am. it is one of the better BW songs. very tight and energetic. crowd around me in the pit was really into it.
Then one I knew had to be lurking late in the set. Louisiana Bayou. Havent missed it in the decade since I last saw it, Memphis 2008 Autozone Park. I was really bummed because I thought it was closing...
and then Ants brings it home! much much better note to end on! Missed the violin finally here, but the solo carousel was nice and different! I should mention it was a real pleasure watching Buddy Strong with the band. He really adds a lot to the current lineup. Glad the band has him...
I was skeptical about the encore. I had also been expecting Grey St the whole night. It just isnt what it used to be and usually sounds a bit more of mess to me and I seem to get it more often than not, but first, Dont Drink The Water! Some say it is predictable, but I dont care. It is another I could take at almost every show, even in its louder, faster phase.
And then I was hoping we would get a WWYS or Billies, but nope, there it was, Grey St. Suppose it could have been worse.
Dave had a funny story about getting off his bus in downtown Jackson on Monday and not a person was in sight so he hoped 28 Days Later wasnt happening. With his usual mannerisms, it was pretty funny! All in all, not a bad night. Still had fun. Set list was just not my idea of a better one.
Edit: Not sure what is up with the format here. tried to separate this into paragraphs but that didnt work. Not really sure why back slashes are being added after apostrophes either.

Better than average setlist, but the high point was Dave’s continued comical commentary about his day in Jackson prior to the show.

Who the F$(K are these guys?!?!?!?!? Phenomenal show. The energy was through the roof. Small town - check. Week night show - check. Horrendous crowd - check. Band\'s energy through the roof - blew my mind. Missing the AL stop probably helped. The pit tickets have got to go. The majority of the area is corporate sponsored crap that wants to be cool and go. They didn\'t care about the music. Every other show I have been to or heard, the fans go nuts 2 - 3 notes in each song. Barely a peep here the entire show. Finally got ANTS again. I could here that on repeat. Probably the best show I have been to. Thanks fellas
