Show #32. I read reviews all the time saying it was the "best show ever." I cant remember 10+ years ago and try to compare, that being said, I can't imagine a show with more energy. I remember thinking mid-set that I would walk out of Alpine that night like I just got off a roller coaster, you know when your hair is everywhere and you can't believe how crazy that was. It was truly that type of experience. They literally played as hard as they could for 3+ hours and that's the reason we keep coming it back for more.
Cant wait for Alpine...fall tour 2012?!?

I was not expecting much after such a brilliant night 1. No Cornbread, No YMDT, No Everyday. Night 2 was an outstanding show with some great jamming, very old school. A ton of highlights, was such a pleasure hearing so many songs off Crash and UTTAD. Dreaming Tree and Raven were shockers and Little Thing to kick off the show was also a surprise. My favorite song was Typical which was pure magic. So nice to see it back in rotation. Only letdown for me was not hearing Halloween this weekend. I really wanted to hear that but oh well, can\\\'t get everything we want. Best stop of the tour so far and so glad I finally made it out to Alpine from California. I intend on being back!

Little Thing (partial) blew my mind! It also could have easily been An Another Thing tease. 13th show at Alpine (24th overall) and This is THE BEST show i have ever seen. Minarets, Dreaming Tree, RnR with Stanley Jordan, Raven, and of course Typical Situation were my highlights. I was a little disappointed to get Thank You but within minutes my opinion changed. The Band loves playing that song and it was awesome seeing Dave with that much energy. Jordan came on to sing and went crazy! He picked up Dave's guitar and was running around all over stage(even jumping on Carter's platform)

No words. Been waiting my whole touring career for Raven and Minarets, and Dreaming Tree was nothing short of outstanding. All band members were clicking on all cylinders and the energy was unmatched to any show I've been to. Hoping for something other than Thank You as the closer, but Dave did his thing and jeff and Rashawn were hilarious soaking the pit. CD and DVD box set plz.

Okay. Ive been to enough DMB shows now that I am not going to absolutely love everything the band does on stage any more. This is one of those times. Dave doing Angel from Montgomery with Brandi Carlisle Little thing opener had me fuckin amped for a great night....then came Funny. Bit of a downer. The whole night kind of continued that way, capping it all off with (sigh) TYFLMBM......again. Seriously. This song needs to go on the shelf and not come back. Im so goddamn tired of hearing it, especially at Alpine. We deserve better than this year after year. It was fun in \'08, now its just a cop-out. Im not saying I didnt have fun. We did get Shotgun, Raven, Typical and the space between, which was the show high light for me. Stanley Jordan didnt seem to add much to the sound of rhyme & reason and raven very much. This leaved me pining for a midwest fall or winter tour stop or a miraculous alpine \'13. Not up to par for an Alpine N2.

Wow Wow Wow....Ants get it together this was clearly much better than a rating of 23/30. Minerets, Dreaming Tree, R&R and probably the best Two Step EVER! This show blew my mind. I have been to 15 concerts and have never seen DMB bring the level of energy they did this night. They were jammin it out and it was very clear to the crowd that they were there doing their thing because they enjoyed it...not just because of the money. The Encore...while a lot of people were upset by the choice of Thank You, lets stop and really think about this. It was not the N1 crowd by any means that made DMB choice this. It was us, as N1 and N2 truly enjoying the concert and cheering DMB on every song. Letting him live his dream and jam with his friends that brought him to the point that he wanted to say Thank You. He wasn't just singing a song. He was Thanking Alpine for letting him have fun with the show and be different. I have never seen Dave having that much. Even the rest of the band realized that it was no longer about the concert and it was all about the band just having fun, being themselves and enjoying the moment. Truly amazing concert and I hope to see another concert that Dave and his friends are in the moment not caring about anything but having fun because that is what made this concert the best I have ever seen! Thank you DMB!

Started out meeting some friends in the lot. Grills were banned so we just had to drink for 3 hours. Brad promptly left to take a dump behind the dumpster or attempt to have a 3 way in the port a potty. We\'re not sure. The next time we saw him he had finished his home made jug of lime aid. We met up with some girls and had a biggest nipples contest. I lost. The next series of events are a blur at best so I will do my best to describe them to you. There were several cake shots, a sandwich was thrown and rethrown, on our way in someone had to take a dump so we all had to wait around the foul smelling urine shacks. At this point Paul spilled a dark beer on my shirt so I was forced to go shirtless for the rest of the night. Sorry everyone. My sandal broke soon after so I was also half shoeless. Anyway, we were on the lawn as usual and the show was GREAT. Saw Minarets, Dreaming Tree, and Raven for the first time. Space Between was the only decent song in the encore. Thank You and Ants is not my favorite combo. Really wanted Halloween. Rest of the show was great though. Probably top three I have ever seen, if not the best. Other highlight of this show was Brad throwing Paul\'s shirt into the audience claiming he\'d never need it again. See you next year.

Another great show, but not as good as Friday night for me. The first third of the show (excluding Pantala>Rapunzel) was a little weak for me to give this one a five star. The middle third from Crash to Too Much made it a pretty easy decision to give this show at least 4 stars. I would have probably gone with 5 stars if they hadn't thrown off the back third of the set with Gaucho and If Only. Awesome encore though. Another great Alpine Weekend.

RIDICULOUS!!!! I Have attended all 25 Alpine shows and 66 total shows. That being said I might be an expert on Alpine and might know a thing or two about DMB. For starters ALL YOU BITCHES that are hating on DMB for this that and the other, you are the ones that we don\\\'t like inside the show either. You are the ones bitching and complaining about being too hot or whatever. WTF did you expect. ITS APLINE DMB IN 100 Degree heat! Ya think we were cool and you were they only ones that were hot? This IS a top 3 venue of all times for this event. It has 2 Live Trax Cd\\\'s and is about to have a 3rd..N1 for sure and maybe even a weekend boxset. These guys played their hearts out both nights and as they say \\\"left all out on the stage\\\" They are like a fine wine that just keeps getting better and better every time. They played no song twice and a total of 47 songs in 6 1/2 hours. They jammed non-stop and were as energetic as a fricking power plant..get your head out of your ass and grow the F*$! up already. This is some of the best shit you will ever see from a band. There have been a few but there are less and less now a days. To the band THANK YOU!!!! THANK YOU FOR LETTIN US BE OURSELVES WITH YOU!! And thanks for putting the plate on the jumbotron both nights! DMBJAMZ !!!!!!!!! APLINE JAMZ!!! Thank You Thank YOU Thank YOU!!!! I will take a FUNKY \\\"Thank You\\\" closer any time and I will always be one of the CRAZY People singing it with the rest 45 minutes after you leave! Can\\\'t wait til next year! P S To Ants.org I agree with N1 ranking of #1 But come on really 33 for N2?? At least a top 10 for the year!

How is this 22?!?!?! Is it because this website kisses SPAC's ass? These two shows were by far the best of the tour. 24 songs each night no repeats for as total of 48 different songs. I really think the "rarity index" has no rhyme or reason and needs to be revamped. No reason these two shows should not be ranked 1 and 2 and if you were there you'd agree

Ive got to admit I left the show a little disappointed last night but that's only because I thought we would get Halloween instead of Thank You. I think the chants from N1 cost us Halloween. However, after looking at the set list and thinking about all the songs they played and with such energy I am damn lucky to have been there this weekend. First trip to Alpine. I finally got Minarets after 34 shows which was nice. Dreaming Tree, Shotgun, Typical, and Raven were also great. What an amazing weekend. Thanks DMB.

I don't think I've ever seen Dave go that crazy before. It was great to see him do his own thing and not give a care about anything. Mind is blown... To those who are complaining that the THANK YOU chant N1 killed the encore possibilities, just chill out. The simple fact of the matter is that N1 and N2 combined were PHENOMENAL and rival, if not beat 2008. Loving Wings from the pit was probably my highlight, but honestly there were so many moments, I would be hard pressed to find one single one that made it great.

47 different songs in 2 nights?! I love Alpine shows!! Dave reinvented "The Space Between" by a solo acoustic encore opener. They always find a way to reinvent an otherwise non-favorite of the diehard's to make it a favorite. Raven is a much better song without the intro of the studio version. Amazing weekend. Absolutely a great show, a lot of first time seen songs for many of us w 10-20 shows such as Minarets and Shotgun. I know the young guy with double digit shows near me saw 4 or 5 songs for the 1st time. I thought the song choices were interesting, a little of everything from everywhere. I understand those that were hoping for \'more\' from a N2 at AV. I get that, but the energy, length, jams and pure enjoyment were special and not to be overlooked. I see no one has mentioned Jimi Thing....ummm....maybe I was caught up in the moment, but I thought it was the best I\'ve seen and that they rocked it from start to finish. Stanley on R&R was special and Raven and Carter's solo stood out also. Alpine Forever!

How could they top/match N1? I got my answer in a 3.5 hour mind-blowing concert experience. 15th show overall and 13th at Alpine, and this tops them all. The Little Thing tease to open was extremely cool...my fiance says "This is from Live at Luther, isn't it?" Finally heard Raven and Space Between (acoustic no less), which was cool. Minarets and Dreaming Tree = crazy. 41 is still my favorite song. Never seen or heard a better version of Two Step; I can't even comprehend how hard they were going at it by the end of that song. At first, I was slightly dreading the "Thank You" chants because I'd rather hear an actual DMB song any day, but once they started playing it, it was a really fun way to end the weekend. Never seen Dave dance around so crazily, and Rashawn and Jeff brought out supersoakers (what?!) Another fantastic weekend at Alpine; already anxiously awaiting next year. Thanks DMB!

My 34th show overall and 13th at Alpine Valley. Pretty good seats via the WH. Solid vibe in the pavilion. I just kept thinking 'wow' and 'special show' throughout the first 3/4 of the night. As always, DMB BRINGS IT on N2 of Alpine EVERY YEAR. Little Thing opener - very dark and perfect. Loving Wings - Shotgun - DT - Raven - #41; that was the part that did it for me. I recall from N2 in 2010 (I think) that it was one of the longest shows ever, clocking in at like number 5. This one was WAY longer...so I wonder if it is top 3 of all time?? Band was on from 8:25 until 11:55 - and THAT is why we keep paying to go each summer and bringing more friends - what other band does that? And oh yea, NO repeats at Alpine again - 46 different songs. BOOM.

I'm speechless. This was the best show I've ever been to, hands down. Raven, Jimi Thing, Space Between, Shotgun, Minarets- all killer. And while some may hate on Thank You, the energy of the band playing it made it worth it. Jeff and Rashawn brought out supersoakers!?! Oh and Stanley Jordan on RnR absolutely shredded. Cheers guys. Alpine, you have my heart.

From shotgun on this concert was insane. So many classics(rapunzel crash jimi 41 so much to say two step ants) and rare songs(shotgun dreaming tree raven typical situation minarets rhyme and reason whiter shade of pale). as of 7/10/15 this is the 2nd best show ive seen of 29. #1 is 7/2/06 but this concert was legendary band was on fire alpine is amazing and dave really nailed this setist wish more were on this level

This weekend saw shows that true, genuine DMB fans can appreciate. So many deep cut tracks it was insane. For show 27 and seeing FOUR songs I had never heard live before is unbelievable. Raven, Loving Wings, Minarets, and a solo Space Between (which everyone loved and happily sang along to) was just spectacular. Got lucky both nights with awesome people around us and just could not have asked for a better Alpine weekend or DMB weekend in general. These shows capped off the best DMB tour I’ve seen yet. Fucking epic!! Thank God for DMB!

Amazing night, perfect weather, great set... some killer versions of Jimmy and R&R, best I've seen live in 20+ shows. Two step matched N2 at Wrigley and solid encore... but getting a bit tired of Thank You at Alpine (I've be their for them all), so I used the song to dance out venue and beat the crushing Alpine traffic jam.

I was closer for this show than I was on the 6th. I thought it was excellent, but perhaps sitting in the pavillion had something to do with that. Jimi Thing was awesome, having the crowd sing the first two verses was a lot of fun. Acoustic Space Between was a nice encore opener, very well done. And then of course Ants is always a favorite. Thank You was a lot of fun as well.

This show reminded me of why I LOVE THIS BAND SO MUCH!!! It was like seeing a show from 8-10 years ago. So deep in the song list - I even enjoyed Crash (which I can typically live without). Little Thing tease to start??? Crazy!!! PNP/Rapunzel, Minarets, Jimi, Rhyme and Reason, Dreaming Tree, Raven, 41, Anyone Seen the Bridge with NO fake-out, Typical - HOLY CRAP!!!! A beautiful acoustic Space Between, then the Alpine tradition - Thank You with a LOT of DMB boogie!!! I can\'t wait for next year already!!! THANK YOU for the GREAT weekend DMB!!!

Bit choppy on the set list, but the energy from the band more than compensated and so great to hear Minarets for only the second time in 80+ shows for me. Raven, Typical, Two Step, if Only and nice #41 made it a great show.

And for the people who hate on Thank You. Think about it. The band gave us two awesome closers in a ridiculous Two Step and Ants. They have a fantastic time playing Thank you and I really believe Dave means it when he says thank you for letting me be myself.. It's a great tribute from the band to the Alpine fans. I ask any one of you to show me a time where you've seen the band have more fun on stage than they did last night during that song. I havent. For that reason alone, I'm happy to hear it whenever they want to play it. Pure joy.

Wonderful show! It's really too bad that this venue hasn't gone smoke free. I had the unfortunate bad luck of sitting right behind a row of chain smokers. With terrible allergies and being 5 months pregnant, it just wasn't happening this time around. My husband and I had to ditch our seats and opt for the fence through most of the show, just so I could get some fresh air. I am disappointed with that, but I was definitely not disappointed with the setlist!

3.5 hours!!! Loved this setlist. For some reason I kept thinking Warehouse with the woos was gonna be next through the second half of the show, it never was but I was not disappointed, Minarets and The Dreaming Tree were awesome. And the encore was sweet, and it seemed like Thank You was the only way this weekend could have ended, and it really isn't overplayed (I think it seems that way because of the Caravan year) but I love that song to close out big weekends.
