Great night in Bristow! Seven rocks as an opener, DDTW is really good to close the set, then Warehouse and Grey Street to close out the concert!? Yes please!

Crowd was terrible though, but that's not the bands fault DC just sucks like that

Ive never seen more people sit down during a dmb show in my life it was awful. I almost felt bad as a fan. The song selection order was just strange and just made for a soft mellow night which isnt bad but when the crowd starts sitting then that means they were bored...ouch. va beach killed this show. Not my favorite show. The setlist left much to be desired. As many others have said, the setlist was unbalanced and lacked the energy that some other shows this tour have seen. So Right was nice to hear and the encore was great! Just way too many slow songs...

Worst tailgate experience ever. Douche seecurity came over and made about 12 of us pour all of our liquor into the grass or get kicked out. Assholes. Brannon and I met up with a couple of guys from the site. Had a good time with your guys. Set list was just ok. Highlight for me was So Right

i don't care how good they perform... if the setlist sucks, there is no redeeming the show. and make no mistake, this setlist SUCKED. I have been to 25 shows and have never left actually ANGRY as I did this show. What is with Bristow that makes DMB constantly mail it in here? Compared to the other gems this tour has produced, I am just very bitter at this point. There is no excuse for them to put on a show of this low caliber. A disservice and insult to those who were there.

Show #65 and you would have thought it was my first! Had an absolute blast in the back of the pit dancing the night away and singing my heart out. Other than hearing all 4 new songs in the same set, I have no complaints. For those expecting a SPAC-style show - be realistic! They have one night here and have to appeal to a variety of fans! Warehouse--> Grey St. closer = YES PLEASE! To those complaining that Roi wasn\'t mentioned - you seem to forget that they played here in 2009, opened with Why I Am and talked about him frequently that night. I felt his spirit last night. Please remember that seeing DMB is a privilege. If you are sick of the setlist - it\'s simple - stop going! Go without anticipation and just have fun! We are so lucky that they are still touring! They are having a blast on the stage and it is fun to see them playing with so much joy again following 2008-2009.

Fair and expected based upon previous Nissan/Jiffy Lube shows. The weather and tailgating was the highlight and the pit fans were the lowlight. The setlist redeemed a bit with the encore otherwise didn't feel the energy.

God I wish I'd made it to SPAC #1 instead of this show. Seven is a great song but a terrible opener. Most of the crowd doesn't know how to react to that song because of the rhythm timing. So Right was awesome but it was the lone rarity. The rest of the show was very meh.

Good to see the band again. All 4 new songs was pretty cool, Mercy is a beautiful slow song and Gaucho sounds cool with a lot of potential. So right was a nice surprise. The highlight had to be Jimi Thing, most improvisational I have seen them on that song since SPAC 09 with the first sexy mfer, this one had new parts for boyd that I had never heard and you could see Dave telling him to make it up as he went. The end jam was a combination of old school Jimi Thing and the newer sexy mfer, really dope! Lot of energy on What would you say and Dont drink the water, Rhyme and Reason seemed rushed even with Lawlor out there. Great set, not a great venue, would not recommend seeing a show there, sound not great, lots not great, traffic bad, but I love this band, so had to be there!

I agree with most points on this show review thread and it's funny because my wife and I kept saying to ourselves during the show, 'Here they go! Here comes the energy'. Especially after the best Jimi Thing I've ever seen or heard recorded. But every time they got the crowd into it, they would play something new and every new song seems to be slow ballads that would suck the life out of the crowd. That's not to say that the new songs aren't good but they seemed to be placed in the setlist at the most inopportune times. Overall, it's a DMB concert on a beautiful summer night and no real complaints. In my opinion, the music and sound of the band is more powerful and better than 10 years ago. This setlist just was weird. Also, word to the wise on parking. Pay the $30 for VIP lot next time. We had our own lane from the lot all the way to I-66 and zipped home. Best money I've ever spent! See you all in Hershey.

Beautiful night, great free seats (thanks Sean)and got to take a great friend to his first show, what could be better? Band was having fun and sounded great, crowd was a bit flat and Jiffy Lube sucks unfortunately because getting in/out is awful so it's the only venue in the world where I leave early because it's just not worth staying to the end to spend 2 hours getting out of the parking lot.

KH 51st show. I can\'t give half scores but I would say it was a 3.5 rating. I hate reading these reviews and read people going on and on about what they did not play this and that, calling Dave a moron for not putting together a better set or better yet blaming the curfew. It was one of those shows that just when you felt they were getting going the next song was a new song that slowed the momentum of the show. Highlights for me were: Seven, Jimi thing (always a new twist), Cornbread, So Right (my fav Eday song live) DDTW, Warehouse & Grey st. to close. They sounded great on every song, the new songs will take a few more listens for me to get into them. Gaucho is my fav of the new stuff thus far. So it was what it was nothing more to say.

I thought this was a very good show, it did have some slow spots b/c of general unfamiliarity with some of the new songs, not that they were bad. Jams were just right, nothing too long, energetic crowd and band.

The band sounded great, but it felt like a rote performance. Maybe it was difficult to return to Bristow again (the audience did try to start a "Roi" chant after the first song), because it seemed to be a "heavy" performance, rather than joyful. Maybe that's the venue now for DMB. But the set list was also uneven and not very interesting (as much as I like all the new songs). If you're listening to "Proudest Monkey" hoping that it doesn't turn into "Satellite," when it does, that's boring, and probably a sign that mixing it up from the last few years would be better. A surprise is always better than the expected. Ditto with "Warehouse": was thinking, "Please don't run it into SMF again." But I'm still saying 2 1/2 to three stars because they sounded so good. It's just too bad it was a forgettable concert, even with so much talent on stage. I will say: it started really strong. Dave sounded excellent and the two openers were lively. It seemed to lose air from there and never really get it back, even though every song sounded good. Go figure.

My first show in Bristow (my new home venue), and it was all right. I was real happy to get all four new songs in one night, though I can see why a lot of casual fans weren't thrilled with that. It's hard to sing along to songs you're not familiar with, and takes a bit of energy out of the crowd. I was hoping to get 'Everyday' as it was my 36th show, but I'll take 'So Right' over it every time. Cool to see Joe Lawlor show up. The crowd wasn't great, the amphitheater was too big, and the parking sucked hard. After sitting for an hour in that mess, I've concluded that the premiere parking passes are the way to go from here on out.

Slow start to the show and a bit dull. Then it picked up and was excellent. The jimi thing was one of the best I've seen and was explosive. Rhyme was a highlight. But to end so early and then only have a light encore - great songs but not long enough. Even counting the break for the encore this show clocked in at under 2 1/2 hours making it the shortest show I've ever been to. The venue had the worst parking lot of any show I have been to as well. It was stopped and not moving for so long to get out of there. So some really good highs but a disappointing show in many ways

The band performed each song really well and it was cool to hear some new stuff. I'm not a big fan of judging set lists (I'm just thankful and excited to be at the show), but there were definitely some lulls in this one. Also, crowd could have been better where I was (back of the field, probably my own fault for being there), and the sound at this place is not loud enough back there (again, probably my own fault for being so far back).

I was in the pit for this show, and I think that infused a whole different energy in it for me. I wonder if I had been in a seat for this set if I would still give it a 4, as opposed to a 3. I don't think it's all in my head because a lot of other reviews are saying the same, but it seemed like there were a ton of mellow songs in the set. But, I got to hear some of my very favorites, and the Warehouse/Grey Street closer was SO MUCH FUN. And, it looked like the boys were having fun too. In the end, if I had fun and they had fun, isn't that all that matters? (In case there were any Ants near me, I was just slightly left of Dave's mic, about three people back in the pit... my bf was the tall Indian guy and I was the little chubby brunette that wasn't taking any crap from girls pushing their way to the front) And since I don't know where else to do this, I have to unload about Jiffy Lube Live/the venue formerly known as Nissan because it makes up part of the show experience.... It's my home venue and the only one that I've done from all types of seats (seats, lawn, and pit), and it's just terrible. After being in a bunch of other beautiful, well organized venues, it just sucks to end up back at this place. The parking is a mess, and the staff is disorganized, woefully unprepared, and totally apathetic to the fact that they're either of those things. They had a line set up for just Warehouse Pit people to be walked in first, and then didn't bother enforcing it and let just anyone in that line (I was the girl absolutely losing my $#!% at the front of the regular line next to the Warehouse Pit line), and then, after having people waiting in line since first thing in the morning, just let everyone run in anyway, so it was just a matter of who could run the fastest. And of course, the curfew sucks. All the shows I've been to here have seemed short because they have to finish by 11. And, as others have mentioned, the local crowd is not exactly the most desirable (hooray for spoiled rich DC bros and skanks). But, to end on a happy note, I met SO MANY awesome fans this show, much more than I've met at any other shows -- even SPAC. Maybe I was just being more sociable this time, I don't know, but I met (or re-met in some cases!!!) tons of really cool peeps.

Incredible energy. Incredible Jimi thing. Incredible encore. Unfortunately kind of a strange pace and organization of songs, for some reason they decided to play all of the new ones. I see a lot of potential for a jam on those, and I really like them all, but like any fan I want something different and exciting in every show. This show did not have any of that. That being said, after the Jimi I said to my girlfriend, 'We drove 2 hours for that Jimi Thing, and it was worth it.' Show #30 for me, next stop, Camden

One of the more mediocre shows I've been to. So Right was a nice treat/surprise. The newer songs were all pretty mellow, none of them seem too memorable save maybe Mercy. (Shows that the band doesn't seem to have those huge jams in the cards anymore, outside of Time Bomb.) Probably was the best Grey Street I've ever heard--Rashawn definitely killed it, however, that song never really does it for me. Interesting to have Warehouse as a first encore. Finally got to hear Eh Hee. Stood in the moshpit for the first time at this venue, was fantastic! Good opener act.

I'm impressed by the fact that Dave managed to write a set so uneven that included zero songs I openly loathe. Per usual, the modus operandi is to bring a good run to a screeching halt w/ a poorly placed song. This show just had a bunch of mediocre tunes stacked up at the beginning of the show (save So Right). The post-CornBread run was pretty decent; unfortunately I had long since checked out from the slow start.
