Gotta love Minarets and Crush on a rainy night. Revamped Everybody Wake Up was enjoyable, it poured, and I saw a lot of hardcore fans stick it out to the end. The mezzanine crowd dispersed rather quickly, but it's not loke the rest of us weren't also soaked... #41 never gets old, Granny was solid but I'm starting to feel Granny into Watchtower or Time Bomb into Two Step are the only options when it comes to 2-song encores. Not to say though that they don't kill it every time!

Really good show last night. Boyd was a star and made #41 extra special. Dave had a good time with Corn Bread and the crowd got some more energy from that point on. Nice Granny, Watchtower encore as well. Good n1 setlist, cant wait for n2!

Very odd set list but well done minus one or two songs. No songs from UTTAD which was weird.

First time seeing DMB since Wrigley. Brought a friend to her first show. Not the best weather for a Jones Beach show. Was lucky enough to get out of the rain and get into one of the luxury boxes. Really enjoyed the show highlights for me personally were Grey Street, You and Me, and Granny. Like the way they changed up Everybody Wake Up.

It was fun to sing and dance in the rain for a little while but low energy from the band and crowd compared to last weekend at SPAC. The set on paper was good but not for people that were there in my opinion. For me it was a boring, predictable Friday night show that should have been amped up with everyone standing through a rain all night long. I had flashbacks to Governor's Island. It was the first time I left a show early in nearly 90 dmb shows.

Respectable show. Some nice highlights. DDTW, #41, Crush, Rapunzel are always great. Really nice jam at end of You Never Know. Fun getting Granny in the encore. But it was uneven in terms of pacing and energy. The rain did not make this show epic - it just made it wet.

I'd give this show higher than a 3, but not a 4. A 3.7 show in my book.

Very good setlist. The only bad thing was that beside the rain, the crowd was very weak on everyday and everything else which was very disappointing and weakened the feel of the show. I couldn't belief some ppl left. The true fans tuck around and heard a great encore.

This is a GREAT venue and the rain made it even so much better... The crowds this year have been pretty lame - mostly just wanting to drink and screw around but this crowd really enjoyed the show and both the band & crowd had high energy! One of the BEST shows I have ever seen!

Show was actually decent. Know its not a "band" issue, but the rain sucked and it was chilly, but not as much because then you stand in line for 12 minutes thinking you're gonna warm it up with a tall boy, dry venue, inside a state park. Sucks being a tourist...

Very solid show. Granny, You Never Know, Minarets, PNP/Rapunzel. Grey Street were all highlights. every single song was played exceptionally. the band is ON this year. I enjoyed every song...being at the show and watching it unfold on a computer screen are totally different things. The rain was a bit much but I still loved the music. Can't wait for what might be an epic night 2 tomorrow...hopefully the weather holds!

Pretty good set, not the best, but definitely a good one. Amazing energy from the crowd and band, Boyd killed it both nights. Lights were fantastic, one of the best setups I can remember. And I got my first concert souvenir, a pick from Dave!

Pretty good show. The band played great as always but due to the rain my level of enjoyment was lower than usual. Many people started to walk out when the rain picked up and it totally effected the vibes. Not a great venue but the set-list looks great on paper. Great performance with granny, overall good show.

First the venue: The Nikon at Jones Beach Theater is really beautiful. Its intimate and for my money there didn't seem to be a bad seat in the house (was seated in 8L). Contrary to other reviews, I thought the sound quality was just fine. There is no doubt, something very charming about seeing boat lights in the distance in an already striking and unique setting. I'll join the bandwagon and say yes it's a bummer they don't sell booze and the security was a bit silly...they made my sis throw out her empty water bottle. But other than that, it's worth seeing anyone here. I like the place. Stage is right in the water...where else can you get that kind of a view? And its considerably smaller than most amphitheatres.

Now the show: I imagine this wouldve been a 4.5 had the weather not killed my energy. I fought it for a while, but it just didn't stop raining. Mix in swirling winds and sub 70 degree weather for several hours and your enjoyment is lost.

Having said that, the show was really good. This being my 32nd overall show, you kinda feel like you've "seen it all." But Minarets, YNK, hearing Mercy for the first time, and Everybody Wake Up for the first time was a treat. Side note: with EWU, I have officially seen the entire Stand Up album live. Not bragging, but it is a small statistical milestone. As most of we dMb veterans could tell you, there's always something to take from most every show, and this was no different for me.

This show gets a definite 4 from me. The set list was a solid B, and the band's energy was definitely an A. Everyone has been reporting a freshness and revived verve in performance with dMb this year and they weren't joking. They were as tight and explosive as I've ever seen them.

Quit bitching set list babies and just enjoy the shows! Even despite the rain it was a great time.

Not a bad setlist on paper, but it wasn't as good if you were there. Some real stinkers were mixed in with some great songs, and the rain really killed the mood.
