You could tell Dave was in a great mood right off the bat when he started playing Sweet. Big smile on his face. The crowd got into when the band kicked in,But i was into it from the beging. I'm really loving the new songs and Sweet is a very happy song and alittle tropical vibe. Dave rocks the uke. And then right into Proudest Monkey. Great jam,the band sounded sharp. This is the third or fourth time I've heard Proudest Monkey and it was easily the best. Tim had a nice riff at the end that really brought it home. I was never a big fan of Sattalite but it fit nicely into the mellow old school DMB vibe of the set so far. Then Seek Up creept up slowly to rock your face off. Nearly seventeen minutes long. Dave was really getting into the show.
Don't Drink The Water was raw man. I was near the back of the lawn when he screamed "Beacuse you're all dead now!" It stopped me in my tracks. A sign of things to come. I can always dig me some Cornbread. Solid jam, gets the crowd pumped. It was nice to have new song debut, If Only. Good little song, solid groove. Funny The Way It Is was outstanding. I really like where they're going with this song. Tons of energy, Tim's solos were killer, Dave and the band were really rocking the shit on this one. Stay Or Leave is turning into a great live jam. Jimmy Thing is classic, and a great tune to hear live. But I can't get into the "Sexy mother fucker shakin that ass" outro. It Dosen't do it for me. So I don't as stoked for that one as I use to.
Now this Mercy into Out Of My Hands segue I really got into. I've been digging Mercy alot and hoped that Dave would play it this way. I think its my favorite new song so far. I've always loved Out Of My Hands. Really cool little song. I'm glad I got to hear it live. Dave's vocals were on point for these two. They were on point all night. You Might Die Trying is solid jam, Tim was shredding like crazy. I don't care for Everybody Wake Up at all. I feel like he lost the crowd on this one. Real lame duck tune to drop in there. But full redemption came with the closing of the set.
Everyday, another tour debut for Blossom. My favorite track from the album. Time Bomb was wicked, crazy laser show. Tim once again melting faces. This song has really developed nicley. Then extended jam at the end and picks up...Two Step! Saw that coming but awesome never the less. Carter showing of his epic epicness with and out of this world closing drum solo. Clocking in at nearly seventeen mins and closing out the set near the three hour mark. Very short encore break before strapping on his guitar and making his first solo encore performace of A Whiter Shade Of Pale. I really didn't expect this encore at all especially A Whiter Shade Of Pale. All the encores up til this point have been full band. It was a beautiful moment, you could hear a pin drop. One of My wife's favorites. It Made her night. Then carter went into a really funky jam and I got lost in that for a minute and the next thing I know, Its freaking Halloween! This was my second Halloween, honestly didn't think I would see it again so soon. (First one was 09) I'm partial to this one.The energy that had been building and building all throught the show finally exploded. It was Insane. The bad was having a blast Dave was smiling and screaming, nailing all the powerfull notes. Stefan and Boyd were rocking out. The whole venue exploaded. And before I had time to think they were playing Tripping Billies and my mind was blown. The energy from the crowd and the band was unreal. Twenty three shows and this is the best encore I've seen. Thank you Dave Matthews Band, I can't wait to see what you pull off for my twenty fourth show. Cheers.

Great flow for tonight. Started off soft with some classics and just kept bringing songs that pleased the casual fans and the hardcore fans. He's putting some new twists on his jams and I like it a lot. The band seems a lot happier this tour, especially dave. They're not afraid to bring out any of their older songs which makes the show much more exciting. Can't wait to see them in Virginia and a few times in NY!!

Proudest Monkey and Satellite were great. Stay or Leave was solid as well. Everybody Wake Up was such a rare song to hear. Time Bomb into Two Step was a very long jam as well. Also heard the debut of If Only. It was a nice, peaceful song.

First time at Blossom. Very unique venue but overall was a fan. Show was just as unique. I personally enjoy when the band plays older/less common stuff, regardless if it is a fan favorite. My only worry is if the band fails to mix the setlists up enough. Went to Dallas and Houston and felt like they were shortening their shows this year so it was nice to have that feeling of "I cant believe they are still playing and havent even hit the encore yet." 4th Halloween for me, all in Ohio. Got to see the band drive by in their buses while leaving the venue...a perfect cherry to the night.

I personally really enjoyed this show, and i have been to my fair share of DMB concerts. They started off very slow with the first couple songs, satellite is always nice to hear. A lot of people around me didnt know proudest monkey so from that aspect i can see how the beginning of the show wasnt as favored. He Debuted the song "If Only", and i thought it was awesome, i really enjoyed the entire thing, im getting SUPER pumped for the new album! The version of Jimi Thing he played was awesome, going into the Sexy MF shakin that ass, cant not love it. I personally dont mind Everybody Wake Up, but the way he played it last night was...interesting...i cant say i was a big fan. TimeStep was an awesome combo to end up the regular show, i was worried he wasnt going to play an encore because a couple years ago stupid blossom made him end early because of their curfew...but then he came out for the best encore i have seen yet! (very biased cause of halloween) started off real mellow with A Whiter Shade of Pale, and then blew my mind when they started playing Halloween! this was my first time hearing it live, and i thought i would never see the day...and then right at the last note going into Tripping Billies was phenomenal, they just didnt want to stop! - - - he even made a note earlier that you should make sure to take your vitamin C because summer colds suck!

AMAZING Guitar solo at end of Proudest Monkey by Tim. Do not like the Venue. Any live DMB is great but reverb there is terrible. Great seats in box seats. Danielle, our waitress, was sweet and top notch as was all in the VIP lounge. Great food. It was just the reverb was a show damper for me so thats my reason for the 3 rating. Loved the opening act. Thank you Tim Reynolds for finding them and giving them a chance.

Our second show in the pit this year. Michael wasn't feeling well and we had to leave and get him some food and water. Well, after losing 130lbs, what do you expect? I've lost 50 so far. No longer are we the "biggest" fans at shows. Looks like Rashawn has lost a lot of weight also. Would like to know if he was on the same weight loss program that helped us...Shakin' that ass!

The show started off slow and smooth. It was the first time that I heard Seek Up live and it was quite emotional. The weather that day was so unpredictable and so was the set list but I didn't care. The sun was out even though all the weather stations predicted rain. This concert was meant to be and the songs that DMB performed were full of energy and zest! I probably will never hear Out of My Hands and Everybody Wake Up performed again but it was a delight to hear something different than the usual rotation of classics. When Dave performed A Whiter Shade of Pale, he had the whole audience mesmerized! It was a very enchanting moment with an almost full moon. The last two encore songs were Halloween into Tripping Billies. I could hear all the people behind me roar like lions. The sound was loud and intense! People were going crazy! The concert may have started out solemn but it ended with a big bang! Bravo!

My 31st show overall and 1st at Blossom.

The venue was very cool - scenic and well maintained. Perfect weather and a very respectful crowd around me. Hearing 5 'firsts' for me after this many shows is pretty incredible.

The Seek Up intro was pretty insanely awesome. I thought either Rashawn or Jeff were going to fall over, they were going so hard. Boyd really shined on this one, circling (literally) Dave with his violin at least 2-3 times. I had never seen that before.

Highlights for me were YMDT right into Everybody Wake Up. And of course...Halloween.

The boys sounds great this summer and it should prove to be a great year!

The show had a great flow to it. High energy and slower songs were spaced out perfectly. The old school Jimi Thing outro was awesome, especially mixed with the Sexy MF outro. Time Bomb - Two Step was epic, as was Halloween - Billies. The end of the show was filled with tons of energy from both the crowd and band, definitely a special night.

This was quite the unique set list but an amazing concert nonetheless. One of the best I have ever attended. Blossom is an interesting venue that some sound crews have difficulty working with the acoustics, but over the last few years the DMB crew has nailed it and the sound quality has been amazing both instrumentally and vocally. Although the band has been playing Blossom for quite a few years now, I can now officially say that The Dave Matthews Band LOVES to play at Blossom! Hell, Dave even mentioned how much he loved it when introducing Blind Pilot, comparing the venue to SPAC and then mentioning again how much the band likes to play here at the beginning of the DMB set. In 2010, they put on a great show full of energy and great crowd support and 2012 only exceeded 2010 in those aspects and had even more crowd support and interaction. If you are a fan of the band’s mellow tunes and mid length to long jams, this was the perfect concert to attend. Some say the set was all over the place, but I disagree. The flow was perfect, starting out slow, speeding up a bit, slowing down again and then building up to explosive set closers and encore. This show will go down as the best show at Blossom for the band and probably one of the best of 2012. Hartford N2 just met its match, but clocking in at 2 Hours and 39 Minutes of play time along with a good amount of jams, great crowd participation, a few tour debuts and a 7 year liberation, I believe it has passed it as the best of 2012 thus far.

SWEET- I do not know how I feel about this as an opener, but it definitely set the mood for the night and the pace for the first few songs. I have restrained from listening to any of the songs live on youtube until I have heard them in person so I did not know what “the breakdown” at the end was that has been talked about. Once the band joined in the crowd really got into it and I really enjoyed hearing this live. It has a lot more to offer than the Dave solo version.

PROUDEST MONKEY- The first midlength jam of the evening and a good one at that. Rashawn killed it on his solo and Tim had a great solo to finish it off. I am sure there was a few interpolations made by the horns but have not seen anything listed officially yet. I was wondering if this would or would not segue into…

SATELLITE- Your typical version of the song with a little more energy. The band is definitely playing around with evolving this song into something more or possibly a segue into another song. After each chorus, Tim and Dave would speed up the chords like a progressive build up and displayed the band was “on” tonight and had some energy.

SEEK UP- Sticking with the slower run of songs. This was the first long jam of the night. Rashawn and Jeff blew me away with their solos on the long intro. 7 Billion crowd sang by Dave and an exceptional outro showcasing Boyd. Clocking in at over 17 and a half minutes, was a good way to build more enthusiasm and energy before the next song.

DDTW- A nice way to cap off the classic tune run with a BTCS song. Lots of emotion as always, direct intro and no This Land interpolation. The imagery this year on the screens is dark and creepy.

CORNBREAD- Say what you will about this song, but the crowd was into it tonight and the band appreciates it. Awesome scat from Dave and solo intro from Carter. There were of course some audience members who took this to get a beer or bathroom break. Unfortunately for the non quick ones, DMB got you just like they did in 2009 at Blossom with Spaceman>>BOWA. This time, they followed immediately with a brand new song debut.

IF ONLY- I tweeted Lillywhite after the show saying that this was a great new groove and showing the album will have lots of variety. He replied in saying again there will be something for all the family on the record. This song is definitely different than the other 3 new ones before it. I am grateful to be one of the first to hear it. Great solid groove, nice midlength jam too.

FTWII- I really enjoyed the new intro this song. Very different from the 2010 version. It is extended, heavy, and electric. Really gets you into it before Dave starts singing. Great Boyd solo.

STAY OR LEAVE- I was hoping to hear SAVE ME, but this Some Devil tune definitely fit more with the overall mood of the set.

JIMI THING- Another long jam song and one of the highlights of the night. Dave was interacting with the crowd a lot getting them involved with singing the lyrics for him while he did little short scats along with us. Great solos all around and the outro was the best! Started out with the funny/funky,cheesy/cool apprarently from the 90’s outro “IT’S A JIMI THIIIIIIIINNNNNGGGGG” then mixed with the always popular sexy MF outro. Favorite Jimi Outro I have heard live or on any live album.

MERCY- Great job by Dave vocally and the outro this is really great. Adds a whole new layer to the tune. Dave’s piano playing was spot on and the crowd was perfectly in sync clapping along with Carter. This helped add a lot more energy to the performance.

OOMH- Dave segued right into this from Mercy first playing a brief prelude and then getting into the notes of OOMH.

YMDT- The bands beginning of their explosive finish. A good midlength jam but I have heard this song live way too many times. It just has not evolved much from the 2007-08 plays to be excited to hear it.

EVERYBODY WAKE UP- very excited to hear this liberated tonight. Not the best lyrically but I like the song a lot musically. Tim adds to it a lot. DMB must like to liberate STAND UP songs at Blossom….they liberated STAND UP (FOR IT) in 2007, played it again with the cornbread>recently outro in 2010 and now liberated EWU in 2012. Great way to end the Stand Up Trio with a 7 year liberation. It actually sounds a bit different, has a slight change to the tempo. Not as drastic as the old dirt hill change but a good change nonetheless.

EVERYDAY- Another Tour Debut for Blossom and great participation from the crowd. Did not kill the energy of the crowd at all. Getting late…thought it would close the set….NOPE!

TIME BOMB- the laser light show kicked up for this jam. Great Tim solo and a somewhat longer intro than I remember from 2010. Getting later..ending with Time Bomb? NOPE!

TWO STEP- AWESOME 18+ minute jam from the band. Really liked Dave’s intro lyrics tonight, and wondering if they are a snippet from a new song. Carter killed it with his solo and love the reprise build up outro. SO much energy from the band and officially closing the set after 11PM.

There was a very short encore break, shortest I have witnessed in my 9 shows. I was worried the band would be restricted due to time again like a few years back and would be a repeat of a “something to be desired” dave solo and then SMLAM encore. However, after the way they played tonight, they clearly did not want to let this crowd down. Enter Dave.

WHITER SHADE OF PALE- Another display that Dave’s voice sounds really good this year. He said before playing he loves playing it and then hoped the band would come out after to join him which they did for….

HALLOWEEN- A real funky intro almost sounding like it would go into EH HEE, but Blossom was treated to the epic Halloween. Sorry Riverbend 2012, Columbus got it in 2010 (which I was there for) and now getting it at Blossom in 2012. Because of time, thought it would close the night, but you could tell the band did not want to stop tonight.

TRIPPING BILLIES- segued right into it from Halloween and just a great way to end the night with an energetic classic. Great Boyd solo.

Very different show... very mellow (especially the first 4 songs) compared to others I've seen, but Jimi Thing was awesome and Two Step was beyond incredible. Could have done without Out of My Hands and Everybody Wake Up... and as a drummer of 22 years myself, I do have to say that Carter was totally on it tonight (especially during Two Step), but then again, when is he not?? Overall tho- it wasn't a bad show by any means, but I didn't leave completely blown away like I have in the past.

I have never been a fan of any bands opening with a new/unreleased song, so therefore the set kind of started off on a down note for me even if it was cool to see Dave using a uke. This was the first time I got "Proudest Monkey" and the run of songs that followed: "Satellite", "Seek Up", "Don't Drink The Water" where all on point and had me excited. Then came "Cornbread", "If Only", and "Funny The Way It Is" . I am sick of both of "Cornbread" and "FTWII". The old school jam on "Jimi Thing" was hilarious and awesome. "Mercy" was expected and then everything seemed to fall apart. Three consetivie "Stand Up" songs?! What the hell? I was wondering I transported back to 2005. I shook my head at "Out Of My Hands", tried to get into "You Might Die Trying" to no avail (it was one of my favorites off of the album and I've always defended it) then and I still can't believe this came… "Everybody Wake Up (Our Finest Hour Arrives)". Out loud I said: "This is a fucking joke isn't it?!" and took a seat on the lawn I was so annoyed by it that I think it ruined "Everyday" and "Time Bomb" for me, maybe the fact of I can go another 8 shows without hearing "Everyday" and being fine played a role into it also? But "Two Step" was great and the encore was out of this world. "Halloween" made up for the terrible runs of songs and the way they ripped right through and into "Tripping Billies" I can not complain about the encore one bit, it was one of the best I've heard. Overall, the show was not the best I have been to but it also wasn't the worst, the encore saved it. And the fact that I don't think any show I'll go to ever will be worse than 2007.08.20, lol.

What an encore! I really liked the opening, all the way up to DDTW. Dave really seemed into Seek Up. However, there were some slow parts, such as Funny all the way to Jimi. Just seemed phoned in, so to say. It was nice to hear "If Only" for the first time ever. The Stand Up trifecta was a little rough, to be nice. I know "Everybody Wake Up" had not been played since 2005 and there is a reason why not- it's just a bad song. The TimeStep set closer was easily predictable. Had it not been for the encore, this would have been a 3 star show, just seemed tame. But what a nice surprise it was to hear Halloween!
