slow opener to begin, but great DDTW and Last Stop. Boyd was fantastic on Crush. Sick encore.

Possibly the best show I've seen, if second to any, second to 9/9/03. Phenomenal. AND... I got a drum stick!

Great energy from the band and even though he complained a few times about being sick Dave sounded amazing! Highlights for me were the sick jams for Seek Up and LITHOG, Proudest Monkey...>Satellite, IBYU and SMLAM. Loved hearing #41, but I was disappointed in another short version. That's my only real complaint and it's really only minor. All in all I'd have to say a badass show. Can't wait to see how they top that tomorrow night ;)

I have been a long time fan of DMB; and this was my first concert :)
I was just happy to go and the only thing that disappointed me was the Mass-hole factor.
As sick as Dave was - he still rocked.

A cool rainy day graced the Boston area as the wind whipped moisture rolled over the city for night one of Dave Matthews Band at TD Garden, for those who have never been to Boston, it truly is an amazing city. The streets and restaurants of the north end and the bars that line street around the Garden provided the pre-game and backdrop to an amazing year -ending tour that stopped here mid-week.
MONKEY>SATELLITE…ho hum, kind of a yawner for an opener, I enjoy Monkey and understand it’s a two night affair here, so sure.. start it off slow.
DDTW… again, take it or leave it, good energy pick-up, DDTW usually sets the tone for a strong show and tonight was no different.
LAST STOP…here we go, love this song in the 4 spot and defiantly one of the highlights for the night, great outtro on the song and some Dave speak at the end talking about how he was “under the weather” you would have never known it.
SEEK UP…beautiful, big showing of seek –up early in the night here, long version, they nail it, one of the stronger moments of the show.
GRAVEDIGGER… great transition here into gravedigger, thrilled to have this one back in the rotation, 2 great repeats from philly on Sat.
STAY OR LEAVE… Left the crowded floor area and “mass-holes” that carry attitude into the show. I moved to the back where there was plenty of room to get down and not “offend” anyone’s precious floor space.
SEVEN… Game –on, I know my take on this song is repetitive, but Reynolds just crushes it, always high energy, they love to play it….I never tire of it live.
SHAKE ME…another philly repeat, nothing outta the ordinary here.
HANDS OF GOD… should be the “hands of Jeff Coffin” his playing is brilliant on this piece.
#41…Quick upbeat 41 mid-set, nice pull here.
GREY ST…always a fan of this one, beautiful Grey ST, high spirits all around, the band is a high voltage zone…get away.
BACK YOU UP… Amazing, heard this at Nissan VA in 09….A rare gem in the catalog, a welcomed breather after the 5 songs blitz that preceded it.
CRUSH…Big song here, it worked here in the set-placement.
WHY I AM…Another energy pill, this song rages.
CAN’T STOP…Love getting two doses of Can’t Stop over the weekend, a nice break-out from the forgotten song debuts of 2006, a gritty, haunting, addiction filled ballad.
YOU & ME…WTF……lol…….take this outta your tour…….
ANTS… WOW….what a version of Ants, I know you’re probably thinking its Ants, how good could it be? Let me tell you, it was that good. An amazing intro, Boyd absolutely slays the violin solo, the energy of this show peaks with this version and it is quite possibly one the best Ants that I have heard live.
E:
SOME DEVIL…simply amazing, thank-you
EVERYDAY… nice to hear in an encore, we can always be reminded of the meaning of this song.
PNP> Rapunzel…ahh the one repeat that I could have done with-out from Philly.
Very strong showing here by the band tonight, considering this was a “night1” of a two night stand; again this show had strong pockets of songs and constant energy though-out, the current tour has a “big show” urgency every night, which is readily understood between the stage and crowd.

My first DMB show. Easily my favorite concert I've ever been too. I remember sataying up late to buy these tickets. I had recently been brought into the DMB culture. I've never looked back. Can't wait to see DMB for years to come.

Really tight show. LItHOG had some sweet Stefan/Coffin rock action. Shortest #41 i ever heard! No Tim solo, not a 21 minute jam, so different but I still really liked it. Most upbeat encore I've ever heard with Everyday PNP and Rapunzel. The encore felt like a good mood to me.

After 10 shows, my first in the Pit. I ended up 4 feet from the stage, so needless to say they could have played Happy Birthday for 3 hours and I wouldn't have minded. Setlist was very good for a night 1, including my first Satellite, Last Stop, and I'll Back You Up. Seek Up is always amazing, and I liked that they cut off #41 before it got boring.

This was my first show, seats were ok and the set list was amazing! it covered 75% of the dream set list i had made that day, especially SOL and DDTW. I considered this show as more of a warm up for the next night, since we had floor seats!

It was definitely sentimental to hear stuff from Remember Two Things on the anniversary of the album release party 17 years earlier. Seek Up was solid but The Last Stop rocked, as did some funky editions of Crush and Ants. The star of the night was Boyd, he carried the energy and it showed, some unbelievable moments and a memorable opening night in Beantown. I must admit, Everyday in the encore was strange and misplaced, otherwise a five-star show.

Maybe the best show of the 10 I've been to, and much better than N2. First time with GA seats also. One person I was with had a limited knowledge of DMB post BTCS and was familiar with most of the songs, another plus.

Was not sure how this one was going to go when they opened with PM and the Satellite. Im not usually really a big fan of that one. Then, Dave came on to say he had been sick all week. Ugh. But, then, straight into DDTW - one of my all time favorite live songs. Then.. into Last Stop! This was pretty unexpected. I have to say the Boston crowd did not appreciate this song as much as they could have. From there, some great songs and a great effort by Dave. You could tell he was sick, but damn, he sang his lungs out. My favorites were Seek Up, have not heard that in forever, IBYU (another one the Boston crowd around me totally did not appreciate), Seven - I like Seven, naughty. Grey St - again another one of my faves live. Lying had some *amazing* solos, and then closing with Ants - always great. The encore was great too - I liked Daves choices and was very happy they didnt choose to end it with Everyday. The pnp-Rapunzel is a crowd pleaser and left me in a great mood. Thanks for a great show, guys. I am going to miss yall next year.
