frickin RIDICULOUS show and GA was awesome since its friday!! i got third row and only got in line at 2. met some really cool people before the show and was around LOTS OF RETARDS during the show. seriously is this whole dmb community retarded and high/drunk out of their minds at shows???? k the bad news first:

1. got beer spilled on me 3 times and stained my shoes
2. had a drunk guy fall on me
3. had a dozen people cut in front of our 3rd row seats that we waited for since 2
4. had a hundred dozen people squeeze thru us to try to weasle their little weak asses into front row seats
5. had some old couple stand right in front of us and block our view. they were like 50 and then they lit up a joint.
6. some bitch passed out right next to us.
7. also there was this guy in front of me singing on his fucking phone the whole show to some loser on the other end who probably couldn't hear shit because nothing comes out at concerts on the phone. jeezus at least act normal if you are going to be singing on the phone.
8. to the person who told us to get off her blanket at the end of the show: YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW!!! you wouldn't let me try to reason with you. we were on your blanket because of the other fifty asses who push their way in and made us scoot back. go cry me a river if we were on two feet of your blanket. we had to deal with way more shit than u did, plus we were there before you, and we were polite. you made the person i was with cry and lose all faith in the goodness of people in the world. how do you feel now?
9. you people need to learn what a cigarette does to your lungs, and stop smoking them
10. to the drunk girl who was leaning on me during two step, you're pretty interesting. GA is a pigpen of drunken animals and i swear im gonna stuff your socks down your throat tomorrow if you piss me off again.

the good news: its all good bro. the show was incredible and THE STONE and 41 WERE INSANE!!! what a run of songs at the beginning!! everything thru nancies was off the hook and so damn lucky should be played every night. everybody was singing along great (except for the ones who are drunk and can't understand that they suck at singing and don't know the words). NO STAND UP OR EVERYDAY SONGS!!! i didnt see one flaw in energy the whole night. i will be back to rough it out in the pit again tomorrow night only because of my love for the band. i did catch a used drum stick and shook carters hand so my karma made up for it : )

note: i apologize for my previous comments which i have erased now. i was just joking around but i did it in the wrong way because i was so incredibly irate in a joking way when i wrote this. hope nobody took it the wrong way and turned it into a serious thing. anyways, what a great weekend!

I'm sure that the setlist looks pretty ordinary on paper, but given the location, the point in the tour, and other circumstances surrounding this 3 night stop, this was a phenomonal night. I can only imagine that the next two will be EVEN BETTER!!!

great opening night setlist. so many old time favs, the return of the stone, and a killer two step close. it might have just been me, but when carter was leading into corn bread, it sounded like he was playing #36. i might have been delusional, but it had the same kind of feel. carter also ended the show with an awesome solo in two step, which i thought might segue to halloween. it sounded like it would, but it didnt. not the end of the world. this was my first show without seeing leroi on the stage. i must tip my hat to jeff and rashawn for doing an amazing job stepping up. however, you can still feel that special something missing on the horns. jeff is doing a great job, but its hard to put a price on leroi's smoothness and ability to take control of a song without being overwhelming. he surely is missed, and tonight's show was a great way to pay tribute to him.

don't really write reviews to the shows i go to...but i love this venue. It was nice to sit on the lawn and not have high school kids drunk and puking all over you...crowd was great...setlist was great too. Best venue i've been to, but have yet to go to red rocks or the gorge....can't wait to go back for two more nights.

My first time in the venue and the boys played a killer setlist! Can't go wrong with a Stone opener and everything flowed from then on.

I know it is a gut reaction to claim "best show ever" after seeing the band. I don't say this lightly ... it was the best show I've been to. The last few years, the Shoreline shows have been a little stale, but this one hit the right notes with me. I loved every song. The night started off with good numbers, but the energy level was down a notch. Who can blame them? But it started to pick up steam near the middle of the set and by the time Warren Haynes came on stage ... well, all I can say is Timmy and Warren together on stage for #41.

#41 blew everything else away. What Warrren Haynes & Tim Reynolds did together was nothing short of phenomenal. I'll never forget that 15 minutes of my life.

I felt the show started slow, but gained momentum at the end. Amazingly enough the crowd seemed very out of touch compared to the Gorge audiences.

Unfortunatly, i am new to DMB concerts so this was only my 2nd of 3 which i have seen (including sunday night at the greek) In my opinion, this show was almost as good as N3 but it was just short becuase of the emotions of it being LeRoi's b-day. Great show still with tons of great songs and Memories.

Highlights:
1. Getting there at 7:45 and being the 1st person in line. I ended up being front row 5 feet stage left of center and i caught a drumstick from carter!!!!

2. 2 Words...WARREN HAYNES!!!

3. 2 more words...THE STONE!

4. The two step was by far the best i have ever heard. Carter's drum solo reminded me of moby dick by Led Zeppelin. I am not saying that its as good as Moby Dick but it reminded me of it.

5. Full band Stay or Leave was awesome along with So Damn Lucky

6. Burning Down the House. It was the first time i had heard it before live and its soooo much fun just screaming "BURNING DOWN THE HOUSE!"

A Special thanks for all those who waited in the heat and the sun with me and clayton. I had a great time and i enjoyed all your company throughout the day. See you soon

Found my way to the pit about 6 rows back in front of Boyd. A great surprise to see The Stone open. I felt like N1 had the most energy on stage out of all 3 shows in Berkeley. Obviously Warren Hayes coming out playing #41 with them was great. What a great venue for them to play in too!!

Almost every show of the tour is touted as the "best ever". For those of you who think that about every show you go to, that is very cool because you will never be disappointed. With that being said, I was not disappointed with last nights show but I do have some observations. There are so many people who have been to far more shows than me, so I can only comment on my own experience. This was my 11th show and it falls somewhere in the middle. The Greek is my favorite venue (along with the Fillmore) and I have seen Dave at both Red Rocks and the Gorge. The weather was perfect and I had good seats (second row on the side). Nice drunk girl next to me spilling two beers, yelling "yep, yep, yep" all night, and singing way out of tune. I love the playlist, but I just felt there wasn't a good flow. There was a lot of space between songs especially between #41 and Anyone Seen the Bridge. I did not feel the band was that into the set and Dave did not have one of those great moments where he is just way into it. Carter was great, Boyd seemed to be going through the motions, Jeff was awesome and he got most of the high profile solos, Stephan was cool, not a whole lot out of Rashawn, and Tim was good (guitar was a little loud in the mix on So Damn Lucky. I am a big Gov't Mule fan and Warren coming out to play on #41 was cool, but I just felt he had a hard time with his jammin, not as smooth as I have seen him before. This is one of the hardest working bands and playing year after year after year seems to have caught up with them. They seemed tired. Under the circumstances this would probably be a good time to take a year or two off and revitalize themselves and come back with a vengeance after some rest and a new album. Time to regroup. I know a lot of people will not like to hear that, it is just my opinion.

Incredible show! Highlights include #41 with Mr. Warren Haynes, a 16 minute Two-Step encore with a great Carter solo (taking the band 15 minutes past curfew), Stone opener, and I just love every time I hear Cornbread.

Antzdigger: You call that karma? If Carter knew what a homophobic asshole you were I doubt he would have gave you those sticks.

There are always drunk idiots at Dave shows, you just gotta move from them if they don't move from you. A great seat at the Greek doesn't require showing up hours before the show, that's why the Greek is the best.

Went with Richard, Christy, Rachel, Suzela, and Lisa. Was supposed to be adate with Suzela but that didn't work out.

Stood Front Row for the first 3 songs. Pretty awesome experience. MEt lots of great folks.

Ran into dave as I was walking towards the beverage stand. I just happened to be right in front of him while he was leaving the backstage area on his way to the bus. I was visibly shocked and he put his finger over his mouth as if I shouldn't shout out "Hey Dave!!!!" I didn't. Pretty great experience through. Christy spotted him on his way back in and ran to grab a picture with him.

Great show! Loved The Stone, So Damn Lucky, Sister Eh Hee. Great show.

I was there. Not the best show I've been to, but okay. I think my problem was I'm used to Roi, and Jeff wasn't cutting it for me (might take some getting used to) + Butch was missing. Absolutely beautiful view of SF lighting up between opener & DMB taking the stage.

Horrible sound mix, too much of Stefans bass droning out everybody for the first half hour of the show, Tim's guitar tape loops and wah wah pedal droned over Boyd's fiddling for MOST of the show, and it went OVER Dave's voice at times.

Missed cues, missing lyrics, and at one point in Two Step, Carter got lost in his own drum solo, to the point he started to slow down and stop. STOP! This caused some members of the band to turn and look at him. He realized where he went wrong, and started it up again from the missed band cut in cue...

There were HUGE gaps in between lots of songs where the guys were just talking to themselves. At times it felt like it was over five minuets between the songs. This really took a lot of steam and energy outta the crowd, and there were more than a few people in my area yelling for them to start playing again. There was a lot of frustration from the fans sitting near me.

The band was not tight sounding. Very loose, and as I said, missed songs cues, and out of key. It looked like that they were just 'tired' or not really want to be there. They had NO energy that they usually have. They were missing that 'sparkle' that I have come to expect from a band of this caliber.

Having being to a 'few' shows, I think that this was the worst one I have ever seen.

On a positive note, it was kinda neat to be at the show and an earthquake happend around 9pm. You could feel it in the ground. Kinda funky.

They were MUCH better on Saturday night. Like a totally different band...

Great great night. Showed up late (had to work), waited for the line to pass us by, walked into The Theatre and walked right up front into open space. I was really confused why no one was there and I made sure I was not taking up anyones space. Good luck for me, we were so close, which makes all the difference.

The first thing my daughter heard was "The Dreaming Tree" on a CD we had in the birthing room, so I love to hear that song. And sister is one of the most emotional songs they sing (actually dave sings solo).

Everyday and Bartender would have made it too perfect.

Thanks DMB and sorry I missed out on Sunday, I knew that was going to be special.

All i can say is WOW!!

Flew out to the Bay from South Florida for this show . Knew I would be close but never expected to only have one person between me and the stage!! Met some amazing people who were very respectful of one another and held spots down on lock when someone had to go to the bathroom and/or concession stand.

I have never been so close to the band, never been closer than the front of the lawn. It is a totally different experience seeing the band members interact with one another - they have a great time on stage that is definitely reflected in the quality of show they give their fans.

Amazing setlist beginning with The Stone and punctuated by #41. The dueling guitar performance between Warren Haynes and Tim was life changing nay life affirming!

Taking tonight off to enjoy San Francisco, but i will be up close & personal again on Sunday night to celebrate LeRoi's birthday.

Thank you Berkeley and Thank You DMB!!!
