The George is my favorite experience as a Dave Matthews fan. It makes the whole trip worth it. This show with Bartender opener is special because I love that opening. I was able to sneak down to the 4th row and catch a drum stick from O.A.R. Then I was able to stay for the Dave show as well. It was great because my seats were on the 50th row.

Couldn't compare it to other shows that I have attended. It was much more then that. Half of our group was in tears for Bartender, So Damn Lucky, Glowsticks Vigil,#41 amd the encore #34 tribute. You could tell that everyone there was there to pay tribute to a fallen Idol. Something that I will never forget. Not having LeRoi there didn't seem right, but Jeff did a good job trying to fill those shoes I thought. All around amazing show. I will NEVER foreget it. We will always miss you Roi.

Great show. Bartender was a good opener. I could tell by Jeff Coffin's slide whistle solo that even though he was playing the same notes, the sound was substantially different from Leroi's. I was told myself to be ready for this but still felt unprepared for the difference. #41 was fantastic when Jeff took off on his solo and the band followed him into a classic Bella Fleck riff.
The encore break slide show tribute to LeRoi's life, set to the studio version of #34, left me crying.

A very emotional show for the band after the funeral for the loved Leroi Moore. The band seemed to be trying to loose themselves and their grieving in the night. After Help Myself an image of Leroi was projected on the lightshow screens and the fans went crazy throwing grow in the dark sticks. The band simply stood and watched for about five minutes. They next played #41. After the song got going Dave Matthews went behind Stefan Lessard's stack of speakers and stopped playing and put his hand on the stack. It appeared that he was very distraught. All in all a very emotional show for the band and the fans. Thank you Leroi for the memories over the years.

Wow talk about a mind blower. This was the best show out of the 30 I have been to. Not only because of the music but because of the awesome vigil our Portland friends pulled off for LeRoi. Thank you Chris Makin for putting up the $ to make this happen, thank you Mary for spending the day on the phone with DMB management to make this happen, thank you to all the buds that helped pass out the 9,000 glow sticks to the crowd. I will never forget that "they gave us 10:00" when the band stopped playing it was instant tears. I will post some pictures of our crew and the people who helped pull this off it was an amazing night. BARTENDER PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

41 - nothing explains the show better. from the glow sticks before, to dave holding back tears during it. Jeff was spectacular and honored roi very well. if you didn't feel the bands emotion during this song, then you were in the bathroom. this was the highlight, this was the band at it's finest. un-fu*king-believable-show. The band was blown away by the love for Leroi on open display. They followed with a stunning version of #41. The Leroi

Sat in B4. Magical night for sure. The glowsticks were nice to see. A sort of celebration of Leroi's life. The band seemed taken back by the outpouring and I saw many in the crowd in tears. The setlist was great. Gravedigger has really evolved. #41 really seemed like an emotional point as well. A night I won't soon forget.

A night I will always remember. Among many other highlights of the evening, the most prominent memories I will have are the bartender opener, the emotion on proudest monkey and so damn lucky, the unbelievable outpouring of emotion from the fans and the band for leroi, the perfectly played #41, the sick new outro to nancies, the slideshow in memory of leroi, and the energetic encore. It was obviously a very tough night for the band as carter, dave, and stefan were in tears several times. I sat next to fenton who was also crying when leroi's solos would have taken place during lover lay down and #41. Fenton offered us the setlist after the show and I told him how sorry I am and how much we love them all. He responded saying they love us (the fans) and he seemed very happy and relieved at the outpour the fans displayed at this show. All around magical atmosphere at my first show at the Gorge! Pumped about saturday and sunday!

Gorge security completely ruined my concert experience this year. Had seats in row 20, walked to the back of the reserved section to meet a buddy right after Bartender. Gorge security confronted me and told me to come with them. I was escorted out of the venue for allegedely pushing a female security guard onto the ground! I obviously did nothing like this and had no idea what they were talking about. My word against theirs, and they escorted me off the premises! Unbelievable experience and I feel completely violated. Bartender was amazing though...363 days till DMB next year

Unbelievable. The pulse of the band and the crowd given that this was the first show after LeRoi's funeral was very tangible. I felt as though it allowed me to grant a moment of thanks, too. The words that Dave shared about LeRoi were appropriate and the display of glow sticks was also perfect. It's the best show (of five) that I've seen so far. By far! Loved the Bartender opening and You Might Die Trying into Old Dirt Hill (that's what I was hoping for). It was a treat to hear Proudest Monkey too. God, those guys did a great job of delivering the show despite the week's event. Kudos.

The first show after the band buried Roi. This was one of the most emotionally charged events I've ever been a part of- concert or not. I know I will forever remember the deafening sound of the crowd chanting "Roi... Roi... Roi" so loud and with such force that the band stopped the show, and QUIET punctuated by applause and cheers during the amazing and beautiful tribute to LeRoi played during the encore break. Beautiful... simply a beautiful example of friends showing their love for a departed friend and men being gentleman at the same time.

catharsis...thats exactly what friday night was. i don't think you can have any idea how GREAT this show was unless you were there. the setlist SEEMS a little light (generally if i had Sat/ODH/Crash/GD all in one set, i'd be a little disappointed....not friday!) everything was played with such EMOTION. its what we all needed, i think.
i missed the gorge last year for the first time since 1998. generally i go to all three nights (or two back in the day). it was almost nice to just get one night with the band. instead of getting 'everything' in three nights, you really got to focus on THAT night, THAT song.
thank you to the guys in Sec C, row 23&24, seats 20 or so. YOU GUYS ROCK! it was so nice to be around people that understood. when jeff started his slide whistle solo in Bartender, the guy in front of me turned around and we looked at eachother. we both understood. he walked across two chairs and hugged me. it was what i needed. to be around people that cared as much as i did.
i danced. i cried. i got it out. i still love DMB.

What a great start to the weekend. Bartender was a perfect opener. The glowstic war before 41 was very memorable. Lover Lay Down, and Help Myself were also very good. There were alot of songs that seemed to pay tribute to Roi and the encore break was a very good thing for the band to let all the fans see. This whole weekend was a memorial to this guy in a way. There was alot of emotion in the air the entire weekend and you could feel it. This was the best night out of the three as an overall show. It had the whole package. Night 2's set was the best, and night 3 had its moments. Overall, a great weekend at the Gorge and very emotional. I will never forget this place. It was a priveledge to return to this beautiful Venue. Especially during this time. Anyone who catches a DMB show here will never forget it.

That song set the stage for the night; it was about healing and being there for one another. #41 was hard to watch as Rashawn had to leave the stage mid-song. The LeRoi tribute pushed me over the edge. It was an amazing night. One definitely everybody there needed, including the band.
