Unreal jamming at this show. Haven't seen Dave and the band in a while and I honestly can't believe how tight their sound has gotten in concert. I've been to a fair amount of shows and have to say this was the best performance I've seen. Danny Barnes on the banjo was ridiculous too.

Also, icing on the cake was You Never Know. Awesome.

This was my first ever DMB concert! I've been a fan since the Crash Album (when I was in 6th grade)! It was absolutely amazing, and by far the best concert I have ever been to. I look forward to seeing many many more!

The best show I've been to since 2000 (hard to beat Bela Fleck and the Flecktones playing half the show). The proliferation of people trying to take 8000 pictures on their cell phones in the lower sections was really annoying though - can't you just enjoy the concert??

The show was good. I had the most annoying girl on the planet next to me. She basically ruined my night. Which sucked.

The set list was fun tonight. It was great to hear Eh Hee live, hopefully it will become a tour staple. Too Much was great and the 20 minuet Bartender was amazing. I'm sure there will be many of you who disagree with me but, I enjoyed hearing Fool To Think and of course Dreaming Tree was AMAZING!! Two Step was a good encore but, I was hoping for 2 songs. Stupid Woodlands sound ordinance. My only problem with tonights show was the crowd. I got to the show because of the horrible Houston traffic so I got stuck in the very back of the lawn with a bunch of frat boys from Rice. They were so loud and obnoxious I had a very hard time concentrating on the music. Hopefully I'll be around real fans tomorrow in Dallas.

Too Much had a very interesting suprise this year. A guick strum of music from the band followed by 30-45 sec of a band stand still. This happened 3-4 times. Also the first show I have been to with all new songs back to back to back.

Goood Show

From top to bottom a Great show! The Momentum never slowed down even with Fool to think and Dreaming tree the excitment of the songs was still there! Best Bartender I've ever seen! The energy of the show was so awesome that the 1 song 2 Step encore didn't bother me!
Oh Great venue too!

Awesome show and to top it off i was upgraded by warehouse to front row, pit. THANK YOU WAREHOUSE!!!!

The band was into it right from the start - the crowd sounded great and so loud when DMB came out that the boys took several minutes just to soak it all in before launching into Rapunzel.

Front row lets you see some cool stuff - leroi's jaw dropped during the banjo guest solo and inspired him to throw in Saints go Marching in riff (rest of band looked surprised at that add on and then took off with it for another 10 min) Dave spitting out something between most songs - tea leaves ? or a new skoal habit?

After two step, caught a stick and a set list from carter - the set list included two songs that they didn't play - Typical Situation and the first encore was supposed to be Gravedigger but was cut due to the time restrictions at the Woodlands. interesting to see how they abbreviate song names on the set lists - WWYS listed as "What Would" and Fool to think reduced classicly to just "Fool"

Good good times - thanks DMB and props to the girl next to me who bought me a beer

out of the 9 dmb shows ive been to, the best song i have ever seen was bartender at this show...there wasnt a butch solo, but instead danny barnes tore it up on the banjo, with "when the saints go marching in" outro on the horns, which was amazing

Two and a half hours of non stop energy from the band. They were having a great time. Rapunzel was the perfect opener. Bartender with the banjo solo was also amazing.

It was a great night and a great DMB show. I don't think I'd ever heard PNP-Rapunzel as an opener and it was a great tone-setter. Corn Bread and Eh Hee just get better every time I hear them. I love the YMDT outro from Rashawn and Roi. I wouldn't have expected Fool to Think or You Never Know in a million years and both songs went off well. Both great surprises. Dreaming Tree was in a league all of its own. I hadn't heard it since 99. I didn't appreciate it then and I just thought that I would go my whole life without ever hearing it live again. It blew me away and it was definately the highlight of the show for me. Did anyone catch the Chocolate Rain Rashawn and Roi outro. Hilarious shit! I've heard Bayou pretty much every show since 05, but it never gets old. Never. Loved it. Two Step encore was a great closer. Some complained about the one-song encore, did they miss the previous 17 songs? I have also read a lot of junk on the boards questioning Dave's voice. There were several times during this show where he was adding vocalizations or improvs to the jam and he hit the high notes and his voice was strong. Through out the entire show his voice was strong. Ne ver fear, Dave's voice will hold!Great show. Good times.

Wow. Robert Earl Keen is the perfect opener for Houston. He started it off by getting the crowd in a great mood, and DMB topped it off by giving the best show I've seen from them in nine tries. No Dream So Real helped - thank you for that, Dave! Everyday was in the perfect #2 spot after a fun Rapunzel. The slower tunes were great choices, especially You Never Know and Dreaming Tree, both which I loved hearing live for the first time. Fool to Think was a bit too slow but a nice surprise. And Danny Barnes was fantastic during Bartender - the whole band was overwhelmed. Not sure why but the people around us were very quiet, even though we were in Row B. But it didn't matter, as DMB put on a great show with a very good setlist.

An interesting but very good show. The Woodlands got a few classics it hadn't heard in a while such as Rapunzel, Dancing Nancies and Two Step mixed with a couple new tunes and a couple surprises, You Never Know and Fool To Think. (Regarding the notes to this show about Fool To Think, what would that person want in its place, The Idea Of You? Gimme a break.) The jewel of the night was Danny Barnes playing banjo on Bartender and the rest of the show stepped up a notch and really flowed well from that point onward. If I have any complaints about last night, too bad Warehouse didn't follow Nancies, but Bartender made up for that.

I know they've been playing it, but I had never heard Dreaming Tree live, so this was an amazing show for me. 15th show overall and in the top 4 I'd say. Would have loved to have heard Watchtower, but it seems like they might have cut it short as the Woodlands gets their panties in a wad if the show runs late.

Thanks guys - see ya next year!

But Bartender, Cornbread, Eh Hee, and Two Step were amazing! Even from the back of the lawn I could tell how much fun everyone was having, I had never seen Dave dance that much!

Dreaming Tree was more than amazing for me, I loved hearing it and was tickled to hear Chocolate Rain interpolated, lol.

Really fun show! The atmosphere was wonderful and it was good to see such a variety of ages amongst the fans!
I was hoping for Warehouse after Dancing Nancies, too, but I agree that Bartender (with it's saints go marching) made up for it. It seemed like the band was at times not transitioning very well between a couple of songs but it was so obvious they were vibing on stage.
It would have also been cool to hear butterfly, sister, or gravedigger but the fun jam/improv style going on was too good to break.
SEEEE you in DALLAS TONIGHT, dave!!!!!1 and once again, THANK YOU!

A few thoughts...

I left late because I didn't want to hear REK and then got stuck behind a huge wreck and didnt get up to the venue until the end of Dancing Nancies so that was kind of lame. But I feel like the rest of the show made up for it. Granted I was in line for a drink and possibly a little rusty on song calling, I REALLY thought for about 45 seconds that the intro to Too Much was Halloween,,, and then I was a little confused haha. I want to hear the recording on that one...

But anyways. After Too Much he busted out the 12 string so I was thinking Grey Street or JTR. Then Boyd starts Bartender. OMG. Download it the first chance ya'll get! It was f'in incredible. Barnes played what felt like 3 solos and then Roi came in with the Saints Go Marching interp and the crowd was so into it. During the whole song I felt like it has to pop up on a CD somewhere in the next couple years.

I was really happy to hear Grey Street. Dave's voice was beautiful all night. And then they come on with Fool To Think which isn't one of my favorites but I appreciated the rarity and they played it fairly well.

The Dreaming Tree started and I was so frickin excited. I REALLY enjoyed having the opportunity to hear this song. I'm excited to hear the recording on this one too. But I was kind of frustrated that there was soooooo much crowd chatter during this song. I really hope a quality recording can keep the audience volume low here. People wouldn't STFU... but I guess it's just one of those things where they will never understand...

WWYS was pleasant and full of energy, capping a fantastic hour of musicianship. Then of course Bayou had to tarnish the setlist a little... but the >> Ants made my night. In my 5th DMB concert I FINALLY get to hear my favorite song in the world and it was everything I dreamed it would be and then some.

I was really pulling for a Gravedigger or Sister E1 but it was not to be. But you will never hear me complain about Two Step It was such an incredibly energetic end to the concert that they just couldn't do an E2. No song could appropriately follow that and let people leave on such a high. I do feel a little disappointed that 2 of the 3 Woodlands shows I've been to only had 1 song encores, but this show was amazing and I can't wait to hear a taper's release.

Someone said Typical was cut from the show and Gravedigger E1 and Stay E3 were cut as well. That would've been absolutely sick.
