Review:
Show was okay, crowd sucked. Couldn't hear the new song at all and the crowd was rude and disruptive. Too many people that don't know the difference between going to a concert and alcohol poisoning. The venue was nice but not well suited for a DMB concert. The setlist was decent but nothing special. The band wasn't bad either but nothing stood out.

Good show. Like some of the changes in arrangements. OSW was a nice way to open. Bridge>Too Much with "Little baby" from SMTS had us all faked out. Pretty predictable closer.

This has been my 5th show, I missed seeing the Bang live last year due to work, but overall here's my review: Highlights:(For me at least) Don't Drink the Water Too Much The Maker TWO STEP These songs I thought got the most energy from the crowd Downsides: Too many drunk people! Had this couple argueing the entire time right next to me It seemed as if when slower songs came on normally the crowd settles but this crowd was kinda rowdy and impatient The Song Stay, Used way too much even though it is a fan favorite, people aren't gonna stay stay stay for a while if they keep getting that song Overall I give it a 7 1/2 outta 10

This was my first DMB show ever! Spent 200 on the trip, would do it again for 2,000. When friends ask about my favorite show I have ever been to, I have to remind them that this doesn't count. Dave Matthews Band is not a show, it is an experience of a lifetime.

Great show, although the setlist did not have as much crowd jarring appeal as those at Alpine Valley. Unfortunately, I have to miss Alpine this fall - moving my son into his new dorm. Have to look for more venues to possibly go to.

OK, show. By far not the best one I have been to (the bad seats could have compiled to my poor review). The band had good energy at times (DDTW, Too Much, Crush...) but, as many have already stated, it totally lagged in the middle. Overall not too impressed even considering the setlist.

My personal opinion - it started out AMAZING, had a lull in the middle and ended well. Glad to hear a new song being played, but REALLY wish I could have heard it better over the obnoxious people around me. GREAT version of "Stay" - a lot of fun. I was disappointed that the encore was so short...I know that it had normally been two songs, but recently when they (or just Dave) play a mellow one to start (such as "Sister" last night), they end strong with TWO big ones. Oh well, still like the venue...good for concerts AND soccer, and was a good kick off to the summer shows.

Not too bad for an opener but nothing really spectacular. Heard Shotgun soundchecked but didnt get to hear it. Kind of a bummer. But not a bad show to break in a new venue. Highlights would have been ASTB-Too Much, Satellite with the fireworks going off towards downtown, and Crush.

User: Daves05
Review:
Since the show was mediocre at best, here are some things that happened. Some guy threw garbage at a girl in front of us. Then, she threw water in his face. He responded by harassing the girl further. She then got security to escort him out. Two guys were kissing in front of us - not that there\'s anything wrong with that. Illinois is the worst state in the union. I liked the new song.

My 48th show and i really don't see how people can bitch about a show, other than having idiots around you. The fact your there should be enough when you refer to DMB, it's not like you went to see the Police. This isn't Burger King. If you don't like what they play, stay home next time cause your probably the people that everyone else bitches about being around them. That way we can have more cool people with some energy for the whole show and not just part of it. Thanks as usual Gents, from what i remember you JAMMED! See you at my favorite venue and the best one that exists...ALPINE! P.S. By the way thanks again DMB. Almost 2 years, 11 shows, and 9500 miles and you finally played TwoStep again. Too bad it was so late in the show because by then they had served me Too Much alcohol. I wish they would serve less alcohol at your shows, NOT!

12th show overall and I think it ranks 10 on my list. I had a good time but the crowed wasnt the best and the setlist wast the best. It was a very mellow show.. Nothing wrong with that but would of liked to hear a few more up beat songs. The new song sounded alright but it was hard to hear because everyone was talking. I think its going to be a good song though once it gets developed a little more. Overall show was ok but looking forward to the next 4 shows I go to!

Solid Set although pretty slow in the middle. Fantastic energy from the band and there was a noticible differnce in Dave's voice because it isn't worn out from touring at this point. The overwhelming reaction leaving the show was this: Worst crowd I have ever seen at a DMB show.

Great show at a great new venue. Took us only about 5-10 minutes to get out of the parking lot and back onto I-55. Not a great location for a concert, most of the seating was on the field, no restrooms in the parking lot, and the traffic was awful. But the sound was excellent. The show was one of the best I've seen in years. Boyd was great during Bayou, and mixed it up a bit during Seek Up. Crush was a crowd favorite, and lead well into Stay. It was great to hear Die Trying and The Maker again. Two Step is a personal favorite, but this version was a little short. Can't wait for Deer Creek!

Wasn't a huge fan of the venue or my seat which was not the greatest, but did witness the one and only performance of "Falling Off the Roof" to this date. I’m writing this review on interstate 80 from Chicago to Cleveland. It’s 2:41am and we are about 3 hours from home so I’m going to get this over with.

Pre-show:
We left Cleveland @ 8am EST on the way we ate 3 bags of Jack Links Beef jerky. I do not advise doing this as it leads to bowel issues later one. When we arrive in Chicago we went downtown and ate a place called Pizino’s Pizza. It was the 1st time I got a deep dish pizza and it was AMAZING. I recommend this place. Its on E.Madison ave. parking in down town Chicago cost us $18 for an HOUR. Traffic into downtown sucked also.

One Sweet World ~ predictable opener, people around the section we’re hoping for rapunzel, smooth flow to song.

You might die trying ~ nice size energy on this song. Dave whaling at the end got some energy out of the crowd.

Still Water > Don’t Drink the water ~ you knew it was coming but it was still nice to hear. Crowd pleasure that had them singing all the way. Still nothing big bout this show.

Improv > Grey Street ~ the Improv by Dave was pretty neat. He was just messing around. Grey Street seems to big the loudest song of the night. Everyone sings and the show seems to pick up steam.

Louisiana Bayou ~ Dave on the electric guitar was a cool sound. I still like it better with Robert Randolph but the band was spot on with this song. Except reshawn, he sounded a bit off the whole night.

What Would You Say ~ Standard WWYS, everyone was singing. That’s all.

ASTB > Too Much ~ ASTB was nice BUT the slow down in Too much was the best part of the concert. No one saw it coming except for the people who saw it yesterday. What a great way to change up an old song. The outro was very very good too. My personal favorite of the night.

Falling off the roof ~ Dave mentions this song was about his Babysitter? I was not close enough to hear him or the lyrics so I can’t say much. Maybe next time.

Dream girl ~ Standard DG. The show was slowing down. A lot of the energy felt gone during these songs. Still a good song though.

The Maker ~ No one seems to remember this song. I was little upset to see everyone make a beer run during this one. I was very upset Two Step didn’t follow it. Grrr

Seek Up ~ the gem of the night as far as i'm concern. The only problem was the crowd wasn’t feeling it. I don’t know if it was due to 3 slow songs but they never seemed pumped till the end when carter finished it. Boyd’s solo was rocking too. I liked it!

Satellite ~ another slow song. While people enjoyed it and sang along it still seem to keep the energy low. A lot of people in my section we’re kind of upset with the selection. Yelling at the band to “pick it up” which I could not agree with more.

Crush ~ finally a little faster. The crowd woke up to jam with the band. Boyd killed again.

Stay ~ the song that woke up everyone. It’s a shame it came so late in the show. Everyone loved it and it finally seemed like the band cared lol...

Encore:

Sister ~ nothing that you didn’t hear last year. Still a work in progress.

Two Step ~ this needed to be played after the maker. Great closer with a great jam at the end.

Post-show: Driving back home. Hope I live this drive.

Overall: I must say this was one of the slowest shows I’ve been too. I would rate this a B- overall due to the lack of energy displayed by both fans and the band. Standard set list for the evening. This was actually the closer to the world tour. So I thought we’d see something a little more exciting.

I was so excited to hear the Maker...waited 13 shows for that one...It was an allaround solid set of great crowd pleasing songs...I hope to hear some more rare songs as the tour progresses...at Deer Creek and Alpine. I do not know how anyone can complain about any setlist that DMB does...yes some may be better than others...but do not put that negative vibe out there...It was a great setlist for a first timer especially..although it was my 13th I am just glad that i have the privledge to be part of the warehouse and to see as many shows as i have. Awesome for my 14th show and my first show of this tour. The boys were definitely in sync and the jams were amazing! Still Water>>DDTW is awesome! However, from the new song Falling off the Roof to Sattelite, it was a little slow, even though still incredible. Crush picked thing up a bit. But that little down time in the show gave me time to recover and cool down! I was surprised by the late Seek Up too, and it had an amazing intro! WWYS>ASTB>Too Much was a nice touch. The Maker was also good to hear for the first time. Two Step is always a great closer. Want to give a shout out to my Indian Lakes bartenders Alex and Kaylin who I ran into after the show! Decent show, overall pretty solid, but I feel that the setlist lacked energy, not necessarily the band. Sorry to be a downer, but I think the new song was pretty bad. I'm hoping that it will grow on me, but I don't see much in it. You might die trying was actually good. I've seen it 5 times, in three years, and this was the first time I actually enjoyed it. Interesting little tease before bayou, Dave was almost playing a lead type guitar lick.

This is the first time DMB has played this venue. It and they have a lot of work to do in order to get the show up to par. I would never rate a DMB show less than 4, however this one almost earned a three.

No DMB show is a bad show in my book, but I didn't think this one was as good as others I've been to. There didn't seem to be as much energy there - a lot of slow songs. I love SEEK UP and was loving the performance but the jam after it just went on way too long. It was a very slow jam with no energy which just made it drag. My seating didn't help with my enjoyment. Instead of being able to just relax and enjoy, I had to balance on the folding chairs and try to see the stage. I will never get floor seats again!

40 some odd shows and this one ranks up there with the best. 1st off the fans in A4 rows 3-8 were GREAT! The energy down on the floor was incredible. Security did a good job of letting people dance, take pictures and generally have a great time without hassling anyone. The band was obviously having a lot of fun. Highlights in the set list for me was YMDT - slowing growing into a great live track, GS, WWYS>ASTB>TM fantastic. The way they have slowed TM down almost to a stand still rocks! TIOY - people who don't like this song are missing out - great live track, CRUSH and STAY really capped off a great set. Typical encore with TS bringing down the house. Next show for me is Deer Creek and it can't come soon enough.

Great show. This is #22 for me, and I've heard everything a million times, but the set list was really good. Haven't seen The Maker in years, really enjoyed that. Also haven't seen Crush in awhile, it was amazing. The band seemed to be enjoying themselves. It was ridiculously hot, but such an improvement over Tinley! You could actually make out the Davespeak. Hope they return here. Next stop Alpine!

There's nothing I like more than spending over 100 dollars just to leave a concert feeling like i have to pay 100 more to go to another one to make up for it. Honestly, best concert I've seen since the last one. And the other ones i've been to (including Farm Aid). If it weren't for the incredibley overpriced beer and "The Maker," i probably would have left the concert to lay down on I-55 somewhere between the drawling middle and the disappointing two-song encore. Next time I'll just get drunk and listen to a CD and save some money. But at least they're still playing Wrigley...oh wait.

This show was great! It definitely helped tide me over until the tour opener. The Maker made my night. Falling Off the Roof was amazing to hear and I really like it. Although Too Much is such a common song, there was something about it that really stood out. This venue sucked though as far as security and inept arena staff. I will NEVER go back.

I thoroughly enjoyed this show. Lots of great classics, plus a few I hadn't seen live before. All in all, I'd say B/B+. Guster was a great opener. I'm a huge Guster fan, and I was so excited to see them opening for DMB. I was hoping that Dave might invite one of the Gusters (Joe on banjo or electric, maybe?) to guest on a song, but it didn't happen. Anyways, Guster played a great set. Airport Song was good. FaFa was awesome. And then came DMB: One Sweet World - Great way to start the show. You Might Die Trying - This is my favorite YMDT that I've ever heard. The band really brought a lot of energy to it. Might have been my favorite song of the night. Still Water » - I hadn't seen this one live, and I was so excited to see it. I love this song when Daniel Lanois does it, and Dave really does it justice. Don't Drink the Water - Good, as usual. Grey Street - Crowd was REALLY into this one. I enjoyed it. Louisiana Bayou - Crowd also into this. I always like seeing this song b/c Boyd really kicks it up a notch. The Idea of You - I was a bit disappointed in this version of it, actually. I don't know why, just didn't seem as good as past versions I've heard. What Would You Say - Crowd really got into it. Awesome! Anyone Seen the Bridge » - Great. Too Much - Crowd also into this one. Really fun. Falling Off the Roof - I loved this song. It was a bit hard to hear, but I really, really loved the lyrics. Can't wait to get the recording of this show and listen to it a few more times. Dreamgirl - Meh. The Maker - *SO* excited to see this one. I didn't think the band brought quite as much energy as some earlier songs, but it was still awesome. Hadn't ever seen this before (another Daniel Lanois cover!), so it was a real treat. Seek Up - There has to be something wrong with me b/c I honestly wasn't that into this at first. I don't know why, I just wasn't quite feeling it. It was pretty cool, and I bet the recordings of it will be phenomenal. Satellite - Good as usual. Crush - Crowd really went nuts. Great song. Stay (Wasting Time) - I know a lot of folks are tired of hearing this, but having not seen DMB in a year, and with all the energy the band and crowd put into this, I loved it. Sister - Another one I hadn't seen live, and was excited to see. Felt special to me, b/c I took my sister to this show for her graduation present from High School. Flew her up from Houston to see her favorite band (Guster) and my favorite band (DMB) together! Two Step - GREAT as usual. Carter really brought it HARD on this one. Great way to close out a good show.

Amazing show. Started off and ended with a substantial amount of energy, but seemed to get a little slow towards the middle. Dave brought back some older favorites such as Seek Up and The Maker. A group of friends and I started a chant for Two Step, which they played during the encore. Phenomenal intro and performance!

The show was amazing,as always. You can tell everyone was on top of there game. Carter blows my mind away everytime. He also wore a CHICAGO FIRE jersey(w/ his name on the back), Toyota Park is the home of THE CHICAGO FIRE. I thaught that was brilliant. We also saw Dave pulling in the venue and just sitting in the front seat of his bus checking things out. good times

ehhhh, not so hot of a show. maker was really fun to see and of course seek up was fun. rashawn and leroi didn't get to jam too much, which was disappointing. the intro to two step was pretty cool this time around and the usual jam structure seemed a little tweeked. the venue for the most part was good, but people on the floor towards the back looked like they had it rough. can't wait to see how falling off the roof? evolves.
