Amazing show at an amazing venue. Former church with painted glass windows add up to the atmosphere. with a maximum of 1500 people this show was a very intense first encounter with Dave and Tim performing live and acoustic.

An amazing show as the other reviews have stated. The loudest ovation of the evening came after Tim's solo number. The crowd cheered loudly for minutes. tim seemed quite humbled. When dave came back on the stage, the crowd was still cheering. So Dave got on his knees and started bowing to tim. Tim returned the gesture, so that they were both on their knees bowing to each other. This was my first dave and tim show, and the venue and crowd were great. Not too many disrespectful people. Before sister and little thing (two very quiet numbers) you could hear the chatting people towards the back, and dave said before both songs, "this song'll be the quietest thing in the room....it's okay, you guys paid to be here." People got quiet right when he said that, so both of those songs were amazing. He prefaced "Oh" by saying it was written with his grandfather in mind. His grandfather took his own life when he decided that it wasn't going to get any better, in dave's words. OLD DIRT HILL! not my favorite when the full band plays it, but it was super fantastic with dave and tim. Dave said before the song that he likes it best as a dave and tim song. It was great! A great driving quality to it, and the ending was very new- not on the album. Last thing I'll say: Crash into me, and nancies were sick!!! Crash has evolved so well over the years IMO, and nancies, they completely rocked out. On the last note, Tim kicked the chair for emphasis. Both dave and the crowd were quite pumped after that one. Tim immediately switched from this badass rocker who kicks furniture while playing guitar to being slightly embarrassed, yet humored by what he did. It was a really funny switch. Overall, it seemed as if they had a stellar time. And so did the crowd.

I went with my little sister to this show and it was the single greatest thing ever. When Dave played "Sister" in the encore my sister cried and I was a little choked up I'll admit. Such a great venue too! Best show ever!

GORGEOUS venue, great time!!! I loved the mix of people that came to this show as well. The native Amsterdamers just didn't understand why there were so many Americans that traveled so far to see the show...before they started. Great show. Dave was especially entertaining when he did his ecstacy/rave dancing impression.

Absolutely the best concert i have ever been (and i've been to a lot of concerts!) great atmosphere here in my home town, great people, great accoustic! dave made another comment on the american invasion in europe in dutch "ik vind het belachelijk dat hier zoveel amerikanen zijn" altough we met a nice couple from the states, i couldn't agree more. At least a little more respect today, no yelling out for songs or whatever.

It was a ( far too )long time since his last visit to the Dam. 50% dutch, 50% american. Good vibes, excellent show. Whats up with the americans shouting out for numbers while they know Dave doesn't appreciate it? 2 more months to Pinkpop, to see the entire band. Can't wait!

Just got back and it was great! Saw Dave (&Tim) for the first time live and it lived up to the expectations. He even said some things in Dutch, like: Ik heb gehoord dat er veel Amerikanen in Amsterdam zijn, dat is belachelijk. We, the dutch people, found it very funny. The setlist was a good mix of old and newer and solo, don't have the setlist, so you'll have to wait for that. But Bartender was the opener!
