WOW! What a show! #20 for me and I couldnt have asked the band for anything more. My first Seek Up ever and I was hoping for it hardcore, and let me tell you any version of seek up where leroi, boyd, butch AND CARTER solo is out of this world, absolutley incredible. Also, being a drummer I have to say that the show that Carter put on tonight was one of the most absolutely astonishing bits of drumming the world has ever seen. Every song he was doing something that was making me wonder how many arms he REALLY has. Everybody should download this show, #9 of 15 for me and best of the year so far. everyting was great. Yeah, they played a bunch of stand up but it was Stand up, Hunger, AB intro (which was FUCKING NUTS), dreamgirl (which i like for the most part, romantic implications, cept the sax solo is a bit long) and smooth rider (allowed me to go get a drink). But shit, what a great show, i love that venue every seat in the house is great. Security was lax, so i was walkin around to all my friends (5/6 of my band went it was great). Also, my first christmass song as well. Lots of songs I wasnt expecting Jimithing was great, I just had a great time. See you all in boston! 12/15 baby!

I missed out on the first time they played here, and that was bad for me. I made up for, and I am glad that I did. It was sort of a repeat of what I heard at Alpine. I never miss a chance to hear them indoors. Christmas Song is always a good one so close to the holidays. My friend Mike and I also ate at Perkins twice before and after the show, classy I know.

Amazing Set. Not the best crowd. A little disappointed in the crowd\'s atmosphere....even the floor seats didn\'t seem to be jamming out or enjoying the concert that much...otherwise, amazing. Boyd shined in this concert, and I felt like he changed stuff up a little bit, all for the better.

Amazing start to the show. Best Seek Up I have ever seen. The guys seemed like they wanted to play all night. Thought we were in for quite a treat when they rattled off 4 straight old songs, only to play the new ones right after. Nice to finally hear Christmas Song, but Ants in the encore was expected. Good Show.

What I initially noticed from the start was how great the acoustics were compared to where we were directly under the concrete overhang of the 300's section at Kohl (we were section 205). It was a world of difference...much less loud and harsh, and you could hear all of the instruments very clearly. What Would You Say was a great opener, in my opinion, got the entire crowd into it right from the start, and is always a much better song to see than really hear recordings of...not really disappointed to hear this for the second night, though I was hoping for DDTW or The Stone to open. The lights were excellent during this song, as well...the lighting really is awesome at these shows. #41 was a great surprise, as well, and it seems Dave's vocals were very strong throughout. The jam was very solid, but after the Everyday outro, the crowd seemed to be trying to force the guys to end the song, as there were multiple rounds of that "end-of-song" cheering...a bit annoying, seemed like they just wanted to get on to Dreamgirl. Grey Street was another nice surprise...love this song, great drumwork, and it's excellent how the lights just go off when Carter does...makes for an awesome experience. Seek Up was most definitely the centerpiece, however....What a perfect surprise this was to go along with #41 and Grey Street. Not the most exciting opening jam, but they went off on this for quite a while, it seemed, and it just kept getting better. Boyd wad definitely on during his section, and Butch's keyboard sound didn't really bother me at all...he did a great job with this one, and Carter's solo was great...we were in awe. Good to see this for the first time....The set obviously took a bit of a dive after this one, with Stand Up, Hunger, and WTWE, but none of these were bad at all; Stand Up for the 2nd night in a row didn't really bother me at all....the jam between Carter, Stefan and Leroi is actually pretty solid, and the music isn't bad. Sort of a modern What Would You Say-type of song. Hunger was alright as well; as bad as the lyrics are, the music is pretty good, and the finish is intense. AB Intro was just as spectacular as at the Kohl Center, and it seemed like the Dave, Carter, and Boyd had a slightly different jam going on after the wailing....very good. The inevitable, Dreamgirl, really railroaded everything, though....we took this opportunity to sit down, when all those who were sitting for AB Intro stood up and cheered. It really was a very "radio" crowd. Really quite funny when everyone begins to cheer and the crowd goes nuts with the "Yeah's," but then you hear everyone begin to chatter and get restless when the outro goes on a bit longer...I mean, Leroi's solo is the best part of the song, and this is when the crowd starts getting bored. It just didn't seem right. Too Much was at first a bit of a disappointment, since they played it at the Kohl, and Crash was even moreso. Did not think I'd be hearing that 2 shows in a row. Good song, strong vocals, but I was really hoping for something good and different. Jimi Thing was also slightly disappointing, because it took away my Two Step hopes, but it was a solid version. The jamming was a bit laid back, but Butch really shined, singing out the notes he was playing during his solo; I hadn't heard him do this before, and it was really great. Smooth Rider was a bit disappointing...would've much rather had Bayou...SR was just a bit at a loss for energy after the super-energetic Jimi. Stay was a great surprise as a closer, but I was quite disappointed when, before the song, Dave thanked the crowd and whatnot after only 13 songs. Was really looking for Two Step here, but Stay wasn't what I was looking for. Great seeing this for the first show it was played in over a year. The encore was excellent. Christmas Song was better than the previous night; much less chatter amongst the crowd, and this was my first Ants Marching, so that was definitely a thrill....I could see this song every show. Overall a bit of a disappointment to see all those repeats from the night before and I was really looking for a Stone, DDTW, Two Step, or LIOG, but it was nice to have only 5 Stand Up songs (though Bayou would've been just fine with me). On paper, not the greatest, but the playing was very solid all around, and Dave seemed pretty energetic. Probably the best show of the tour so far, and very solid playing on every song.

Wow! A very nice show. Very nice opening...#41 was amazing. There aren't even words to describe how good that the 23 minute version of SEEK UP was.Jimi Thing was fantastic. I loved Crash. Ants Marching was the perfect ender. The band was very into the show. All around great show

Good show overall. That Seek Up intro was awesome. The #41 was wonderful to hear in that small venue. American Baby Intro was super energetic and was a nice placement mid-set. There were times where the crowd was just not into the show. Jimi Thing had a Butch scat, which was interesting. Stay, Christmas Song and Ants was a nice way to close out a very wintery night at the Hall.

I really enjoyed this show a lot. I had been waiting impatiently forever. I was SOOO excited about #41. Grey Street and Seek up were unbelievable. I heart ABI with a passion and HFTGL and Smoothrider were pretty good too. It was awesome to watch the crowd during Stay. The encore...can't say much more than AWESOME!! Disappointed there was no Pig (one of my faves) oh well, I guess that means I have to go to more shows to see it...DARN!! PS Booo to the guys behind us that kept wrongly predicting every song (besides grey street). I could care less that you are the "Dave" of your DMB tribute band, you still aren't Dave so pipe down and enjoy!

Another solid performance, I loved #41 and Jimi was..was... I just can't describe what it felt like to be apart of that jam. Stay was great, can't forget about x-mas song. I've got to admit, I was really happy to hear Ants this evening it was a song I just needed. Not a bad show what so ever but that AB intro is going to be the death of Dave's voice! That screaming he takes part in, WOW! I know this is a random review but Stand Up ranks high in my book now, the band can play that song and to me, I really don't think it can really get old, it brings a definite punch to the evening! Take care ya'll, as my year comes to a close, pending a very special act of God this was my last show of the year hoping to see you all again in the very near future.

Great Songs...so-so show. First of all, the parking lot was dead. Now I know we were on a college campus, but D&T at Purdue (Go Boilers!) had a lot more energy than this one. Anyways, for the songs: What Would You Say: Average, same as usual #41: Always great to hear, was awesome Grey Street: Not my fav., but nice selection Seek Up: Awesome! Jam got a little long though Stand Up: more like Sit Down Hunger for the Great Light: this song needs to be reworked When the World Ends: We'll be burning one...Sounded great American Baby Intro: WOW! This rocked, highlight of the show Dreamgirl: Not bad, kinda mellow Too Much: I always enjoy it, band was really into it Jimi Thing: awesome. Great solos and scat by Dave Smooth Rider: nice chance to go to the restroom Crash Into Me: A crowd fav. You could tell most of the crowd didn't really know Dave songs other than this. Stay: Nice! A pleasant surprise! Encore: Christmas Song: Yes! Finally saw it live! Ants Marching: heard it a million times, but it still rocks... Overall, band was on point. I like Butch more than I used to. Crowd was pretty lame. Looks like thats it for me until Deer Creek!

It was an all-around solid show. Dave had a lot of energy, which always will help a show's quality. The extended version of Am Baby Intro was a highlight. They also did a more chilled out version of dreamgirl, with a mellow jam to end it. My favorite part was Dave's skat during Jimi thing, he just kept going and dancing. There were a few less songs than normal, but it was still fun

First of many DMB concerts to come! it was amazing, i couldnt believe i was actually watching him. The setlist doesnt look as good as it actually was, the energy in the crowd helped a lot. Encore- unbelieveable! Dave look even more sexy in person as he does on his DVDs!! Gotta love it.

Great show all around ... thought the crowd was a little out of it at times where I was sitting, but still great energy. Boys were on fire tonight and Dave's voice sounded better than in the summer. 41 to Grey Street to Seek Up was AWESOME and AB Intro was INSANE and full emotion, highlight of the night for me. Christmas Song was a treat and the Ants closer topped off a great night.

This was my first DMB show. I'd been a fan for a couple of months at the time, and saw a couple of songs that I know I'd appreciate a lot more today. #41, Christmas Song, even ABI. For the winter tour after Stand Up came out, this still has a pretty decent setlist. Typical college crowd, so a few songs were typical college songs. From an Illini fans point of view though, the encore chants of "I-L-L".. "I-N-I" were kind of cool.

solid show, crowd was dead, but i had a good time, took my buddy dan for the first time and from the looks of it, he had a ball, only 16 songs but what do you expect with long songs like #41, seek up, and jimi thing, loved loved loved american baby intro, it's my fav. live song, and it was funny cause when i heard the first note from butch, like a min. before half the crowd knew what was going on, i screamed at the top of my lungs, scaring the crap out over everyone around me, and they didn't believe me that it was american baby intro til it got into the more noticeable part, but all in all, solid show all around

Amazing show. Christmas Song was the highlight. Tears from everyone! I appreciate all DMB shows I go to, no matter what they play. I am getting sick of people talking during songs and sitting down. They do not realize what they are experiencing. Anyway, AB Intro was fantastic! Thought Dave was going to explode. Amazing to hear first Stay in over a year. Carter exploded on the end of Seek Up. Best Jimi Thing ever! Dave and Butch's scats were great. Hilarious face made by Dave after his scat! Busy feet tonight too. Cannot wait until next summer. FUCKING LOVE DMB!!!!

The show was OK. I was very dissapointed that this was the first winter show that didn't get Pig. The crowd seemed so young, were annoying, and had no idea what was going on. I think the show started off good then ended sub-par. The best performances were Seek Up (my favorite song played), AB intro (Stand Up's best performing song), and Jimi Thing (The best that I have heard it). Can't complain about the encore, two good songs. I would die a happy person if I never hear Stay again... or Crash for that matter. Ending the show with Smooth Rider, Crash, and Stay ruined the show for me. Overall, I was very dissapointed in the show. It could have been a lot better.

Got ejected after the 4th song. Ticketmaster screwed up our tickets and consequentally we were in the upper level instead of where were supposed to be down low. The same cop caught us twice for trying to sneak where we were supposed to be. Consequentally myself and my 2 best friends are banned from Asembly Hall forever. I got to see Seek Up for the first time which was incredible and of course #41 was the best. I'm anxious to grab the bootleg and party with my buddies in the living room to what we should have seen.

Not the best show but it was still good and fun. Amazing seats, being a little bit above the floor and right next to fenton on the lights was ridiculous. pretty good setlist, seek up was awesome. jimi was sick as well, butch singing the same thing he was playing and dave's scat were both phenomenal. leroi seemed to be having trouble though, not finding his groove. he'd play a lick and then stop and kind of shake his head and then start again. dave was the most messed up of any dave show ive been to. he kept mumbling into the mic inbetween songs, he played amazing and sung even better. a good show, looking forward to the summer tour.

Set list was perfect for the first timers in the audience. Seeing as this was my fourth show I was hoping for a bit more rare songs but I can't complain. Grey Street was awesome, Stand Up was smoking, 1st time hearing Seek Up and it was (I think) 23 minutes?! Incredible. Smooth Rider gave me a chance to pick up a tour shirt, had to run back to my seat for Crash. My face lit up once the Dave played the opening chourds to Stay. Thanks to the drunk girls who yelled the lyrics to Christmas Song really abnoxiously and another thanks to everyone who feels they need to clap during every song, even a delicate tune like Christmas Song. Aside from that, the night was awesome.

It was a pretty good show. The energy was really up there and the acoustics of Assembly Hall aren't as terrible as I expected. Seek Up was great to see as was #41 like always. The first half of the show was much better than the second (not in terms of energy) but in terms of songs that I enjoyed. I was pleasently surprised that some of the Stand Up songs transferred nicely to a live show. That was the saving grace of the show for me. A good concert, but not the best.

This show was amazing. I was at Madison's Kohl center the night before and wasn't very impressed with it. The setlist for champagne was very solid. Then there was the Butch scat during Jimi Thing which was just awesome. Linus and Lucy, christmas song. Very solid show.
