Right up close, thought it was amazing. Could not have been absolutely more thrilled than to have heard Seek Up and Dancing Nancies live, back to back. Two of my absolute live favorites. Big regret that I drank more than I should have, and a strong show became a little bit of a blurry show, but I was Dancing Nancies in the isles!

Amazing show. We got to meet dave before the show, and it made my daughters day (month,? year?). I asked him for seek up or say goodbye, and he said he would run it by Stefan and Carter. A couple of minutes later a roadie comes in with a proposed setlist in his hand and shows it to Dave. I look over his should and see Say Goodbye, Nancies, and Ants on it...KILLER setlist already. I didnt expect to hear Seek Up, since it wasn't on the setlist, but when they started playing it, I couldnt believe my ears.I was a GREAT version followed by a GREAT version of Nancies! GREAT SHOW! GREAT ENERGY by the band..they make the Stand Up material WORK! (The American Baby intro was awesome.) Overall, a fantastic night.

WOW>>>> WOW>>>> WOW>>> WOW>>> This was my 25th show, 2 days after my 25th birthday.. and it was the first time i got to see the band from the front row. I felt like, the guys are really pushing themselves this tour.. Saw them in chicago, the 2nd date of the tour. and the songs have evolved so much since then. Everyday opener .. saw that comming.. great version too. Then dave did this really cool thing where he like stuck his arm out almost like a sideways fist of fury for the... eeehhhhheeeeeyyyyy" intro to dreamgirl.. really nice. I like the new thing they're doing at the end of that song too... Stand up.. it's always nice to get going on that song. Butche's vocoder intro is fucking key. then i started to get chills when i realized carter was doing the drum intro to say goodbye. followed by a PASSIONATE,, Rhyme and Reason. Man,, incredible. A few songs later we have american baby intro.. which .. my god.. is INCREDIBLE... i couldn't beleive it... i thought he was starting to tease "trouble with you", but i was so glad the intro was so vibrant and full of energy. then after american baby.. what followed.. was just.. indesribable in words... fucking Seek up.. follwed by Nancies.. i mean.. are you kidding?.. these two songs go to almost 20 min live.. and they played them back to back. the versions of these songs was amazing... amazing.. amazing. I seriously haven't felt this ecstatic about a show since the early days. They are really on.. and the energy is showing through in the performances big time. The setlist has an error.. because they took Bayou right into ants.. there was no stopping.. so i will go ahead and include the correct.. Lousiana Bayou ~>> Ants. And what an incredible ants it was... i was really glad they came out and played you might die trying.. cause carters drum outro on that is insane.. followed by a melodical What you are.. This concert was amazing... seeing them from the front row is something i'll never forget. (with the help of the photos i took during the show as well) This is one of those shows where the setlist in "print" form.. does no justice to the setlist in "musical" form... look at the setlist for the Red Rocks show back in 95, it just looks average, but we all now that show was history. Again. i feel this show falls into the same category.. and not a "red rocks" catagory, for all those who were about to send me emails.. ha.. but if you can get this show.. DO IT!.... they sacrificed song quanity for song quality.. and i'm so glad i was there to experience it. THis was like a show from back in the day.. LOTS of jamming.. and lots of improv... you could see it on there faces during the songs.. like.. what should we do next.. where are we going with the next song? Definitley pick this show up off Dreamingtree.org if you can. Email: Bluedrumm@aol.com. See you guys soon!!!.. Justin

Amazing show...BOYD was the star by far...the perfect mix of the new songs that translate amazing live so much energy and hype into those songs, Dream Girl sounds amazing and clear, Stand UP is very loud and gets the crowd going great jamming song, Smooth Rider was awesome and very long which is suprising, and AB intro is the best with Dave going crazy it is some of the best musical pieces by the band...the most amazing versions of a 20 minute Seek UP and 15 minute Dancing Nancies in sequence with boyd going absolutely crazy absolutely incredible...also we got to hear 2 classics in the same show which was very rare: Crash into Me and Ants Marching...encore was amazing with YMDT and What You Are was so powerful one of the most incredible shows I have witnessed by the DMB

Awesome! This was my first show and I loved it! The crowd didn\'t get into the \"Honey Honey\" on \"Everyday\" as much as I wanted but you can still here it on the tape. 20 minute \"Seek Up\" into 12 minute \"Dancing Nancies\" was a treat. I love how Dave improves on the beginning of \"Dancing Nancies\" and Boyd was nuts that night. The screaming in \\\"What you Are\\\" in the encore gave me chills. All around great. Get this show if you can....

This was the best DMB show I've seen at CP. His best show in Arizona was at the Mesa Amph, way back in '96.

It was pretty cool. San Diego earlier this year was better. Dave and Friends and with Tim Reynolds...I mean come on. Stand Up songs are ok but not the best he has written.

This was my first DMB show. I loved it. Since Everyday was my first DMB cd, it was cool to have the concert lead off with the title track. Rhyme and Reason blew me away, as did Dancing Nancies, Stand Up [which I don't like on the cd], Louisiana Bayou, Crash, and Ants Marching. I have nothing to compare it to except the DVDs I have... so it was all good. I notice someone up in the lawn area said there was no energy. I was down in 202 and the energy was *tremendous*... and I didn't expect to see that it was coming more from the guys. We flew out from Maryland and, although it was so damn hot, I thought the band was excellent. I'm not sure what was up with that long intemission... is it always so dragged out? -Katt

Great show - Dave commented on our "dry heat" an d seemed a trifle subdued in his dancing/jamming. Boyd and the rest of the guys appeared to pick up a little and were absolutely amazing! And, although we missed Dave's "steps", he poured it out in his vocals!

The fist half of the show was just so-so for me. Things really changed during the AB Intro. From that point all the way to the end...possibly the best i have seen this band. This show was also special b/c I took my little brother to his 1st DMB show. See you around. Eli

Most awesomest show ever!! GREAT VENUE

Review:
Very hot and for the first hour or so the show struggled, no flow to the songs. However, a really, really great Say Goodbye. Eventually it started cooling down and the band went on an incredible run from AB Intro all the way to the end. Seek Up was a treat. Boyd was absolutely crazy on Nancies and Bayou > Ants brought the house down.

I hate to say this, but it may have been the worst Dave show I have ever seen. The sound was way to soft out in the lawn. All of the crowd was sitting most of the show. no energy at all. It felt like the band was hot and tired, no energy either. Dancing Nancies was great and so was Ants. I felt bad for the people who were seening them live for the first time, It did not live up to all the hype.

One of the better shows here in a few years. However I must say that the crowds have been getting more and more crappy every year. This year the people around me made it nearly unbearable to stay but stay I did and still had me a good time.
