My sweet Lord. This was my first DMB show and I was pleased to pop my dmb cherry to "one sweet world". I got to go with close friends but made many more. The DMB Love blew me away, tens of thousands of people putting differences aside to come together as one under the music. Oh what a night... many more to come!

This show rocked! "Crush" was spectacular, and "Stand Up" is truly going to be a classic "live" song. They way they ended the night w/ "Two Step" was also awesome! I have been a fan of DMB since Under the Table, and sad to say, this was my first concert - but it was well worth the wait!!! These guys, and this show, did not disappoint. CG

WOW. . .I have been to 8 shows since my first in '96 and this was the best. The band was so energized tonight. Started off with a great, albeit, standard One Sweet World. Nice way to start the show. Ripped right into Hunger... I'm not such a big fan of the album version but man they played the hell out of it tonight. Great live song. Next was WWYS. Roi smoked on this (as he did all night). Crush came next and was a nice surprise to hear. Great moment during Crush tho....when Dave didn't say "Each moment, the more I love you", instead going with "Each moment , the more I want some".....funny as shit. After Crush came Time of the Season which was great. Nice cover, a real treat. Next was Say Goodbye. This was so smoking to hear live again. The band was amazing and the crowd blew up although I noticed (other ants prob as well ) that Dave f'd up the lyrics. Then came some Stand Up songs. Die Trying was really good....Carter is the man. Bayou was really good, no Robert Randolph though. Dream Girl was sort of ho-hum, nice but not anything special. Nancies made the show. WOW, the band should play this song at every show the rest of their lives. UNREAL. Next was my personal fav., Lover Lay Down....great to hear live again. Rapunzel was amazing. By now the crowd was in a frenzy. At one point, Dave, Boyd and Stefan were circled around Carter, all jamming in front of him for a good 2 minutes. What a show. Out of My Hands was nice but sort of brought the crowd down. Cool firedancer in the background though. Stand Up was good but nothing special. Two Step was good. I was hoping for a 'lil Jimi Thing. Encore was nice with a good Old Dirt Hill (very plain song live) and What You Are was the best I've heard. Overall a great show. 9/10 for me. The band just seemed totally renewed this year. Thank you DMB for a great night.

I have been to tons of DMB shows and this ranks as one of the best shows. They always play the best shows in Charlotte. We have moved back to Orlando and still go back to Charlotte to see the band. We are even going back this year as well!!

Great show, I got to hear Say Goodbye which made my summer. Dancing Nancies was awesome too minus the close-ups of Boyd's pubs. The parking at this venue was terrible, and Butch's keyboard was turned up too loud IMO. Great show overall though.

Very good setlist considering they're promoting a new album. The new songs are filling out nicely live -- they've improved even in the 2 weeks since Bonnaroo. Excellent energy and focus, especially from Boyd, Dave, Carter and Butch. One of the best 2 shows I've seen.

Absolutely awesome! I am still on a high from this show, maybe the best show I have ever seen. Say Goodbye was unbelieable, loved Time of the Season, Bayou and Nancies kicked my ass, Rapunzel had everyone groovin, Two Step was probably the best version I've ever heard and WYA was phenominal! The new stuff sounds great live!

Decent Show for the 2005 year, in which most shows where watered down with songs off of Stand Up... DMB usally treats Charlotte with good shows/setlists year after year...There where two nice "runs" during the show.. (1)What Would You Say, Crush, Time of Season, Say Goodbye, and (2) Dancing Nancies, Lovery Lay Down, Rapunzel...1st time I was able to hear Say Goodbye and Lover Lay Down....1st show of 6 during the 2005 tour....

Good energy, but a few too many new songs. I wanted to hear some more classics. The lights were also a bit too much. Last year's show in Charlotte was definitely better.

Another great show at Verizon in Charlotte. Really enjoy this venue and the city of Charlotte in general. The band really incorporated the new songs into the set well, highlights being Bayou and Hunger. Stoked to hear Time of the Season.. even with Dave botching the lyrics it still kicked ass. Other high points would be Nancies, Two Step, and a rediculous What You Are to close the night.. (my voice is still gone three days later) AMAZING. Only low point would be a very drawn out Lover Lay Down which was a perfect beer run moment. We actually stayed at the same hotel as the band, recognized the head security guy from the Gorge DVD as we checked in and knew they had to be around. Next day rode in the elevator with Roi, said whatsup to Carter in the lobby... solid. Chatted with the security guy in the lobby, he ended up being a dick, but oh well, good times. Can't wait for next year in Charlotte or possibly the two-night stand down in West Palm, The band is def. bringin' their A-game and I can't get enough.

Review:
I especially wanted to hear Old Dirt Hill, & they endded up encoring w/ it; so that was really cool. But, sadly much of the concert is a blur...I drank WAY too much that night, so I'm downloading the show right now to help me remember.

This was my second show and it was 10 times better then Raleigh last year. A little slow start but Crush, Time of the Season, Say Goodbye, on and on the setlist got better and better. Nancies, Lover Lay Down, Rapunzel, closed the set with Two Step. The energy was amazing and this was the best I could have wished for. Awesome show.

y'all, i thought this show was amazing. of my three in the past week (VA beach, nissan, charlotte), this one was the best (even past 8th row nissan). the setlist was incredible and the guys were really on fire. boyd was jamming away old school style (thanks in part to the setlist). fonzy was really on fire and seemed to be having a really good time. dave was dancing around the stage and carter rocked a bunch of songs. we were psyched to hear rapunzel and i was dying to hear time of the season after the st. louis download (thanks WDS). crush was awesome. what you are is quickly becoming one of my favorites, though i'd really like to see "so right" in a show just once. so eventhough two old dudes were annoying the hell out of us and macking on some 14 year old, and eventhough there as this hole in the lawn that everyone stepped in and we laughed at them (sorry if it was you, but it was still funny to see someone walking by and then WHAM, they are a foot shorter), and the beach balls attacked us for the first 4 songs (we were lawn left looking at the stage), it was still a kickass show. time for a break before randall's island.

What an awsome show. Dave was the dancing-man during Rapunzel. Most people didn't like Old Dirt Hill being playing in the encore. But I was totally feeling the grove to the song. And for the end...What You Are. Wow! I was hoping for All Along The Watchtower or Bartender. But I'm so glad I got to hear this song live. It rocked! Oh yeah, and Say Goodbye for only the 2nd time since 2003 was a treat.

The entire band was so on fire - jamming on Crush, LA Bayou, Rapunzel, Stand Up but most assuredly Two Step was stellar - Roi really came through more than I have seen him in a while - Boyd and Carter were their amazing selves and Fonz just played the cool bass he always does, Butch ripped it up on Two Step - Dave was Dave was Dave - his little dance was what we love about him - such a great mix of new and old school - my first time in Charlotte - what a great crowd and venue - will def be going back next year - the band is back!! (and the new lights and effects were sick!)

I must say, i was a little hesitant on the way up from Charleston, SC that i was gonna sit out on the lawn in the pouring rain to hear a bunch of new songs that I didnt want to hear, but the boys blew my mind (once again). The rain cleared up, they played a good share of old "classics" (including 'say goodbye'!), and the 6 songs they chose from stand up have really evolved in the time theyve been on tour. My only complaints about charlotte are the struggling tailgate scene, the stand-still traffic on the way out and the meathead that threatened to "deck me" if I smoke a J. Overall, excellent time. Thanks DMB...

My first show in Charlotte and it kicked ass. Great opener with One Sweet World. The crowd really got goin with What Would You Say? I loved the Time of the Season cover. When Carter started his solo I was holdin my breath for Halloween...Say Goodbye was still sweet. All the new songs sounded great, especially LA Bayou. The two highlights of the night, however, were Nancies and Two Step.

What an amazing show. The band has never sounded tighter, and I've never been more impressed. I was telling the guy next to me, what other smash up hit is next. It felt so OLD SCHOOL it was amazing. The new songs just fit into what was going on. OSW - pretty standard, but the crowd was so into it, that you couldn't even hear Dave's vocals at certain parts, great opener. Hunger - Love this song, love it live. WTG WWYS - Where did this come from? We had no clue, the crowd erupted. Great version - first time live for me Crush - Standard, but amazing job Time - I like their cover of the song Say Goodbye - OMG! Another one where you're like...are you kidding me? Amazing rendition, better than Warehouse 5 CD. YMDT - I like this song, and Loved it live, band was grooving hardcore on this number Bayou - Great song live, they jammed it out Dreamgirl - not sure about the outro chords they were using, they funked it up and made some Major 7 chords in there, but it made it a little jazzy. Great song live. Especially with his arm movements. I'm afraid the audio won't do the experience justice Dancing Nancies - Where again? Wow, amazing rendition, Boyd tricked this out, jammed it out with Dave, Carter, and Stefan, and the crowd ate it up. Lover - Haven't heard this live in years, great rendition, go Leroi! PNP - Rapunzel - Pretty great versions, better than in previous year. By this point dave had no falsetto left in his voice so everything was down the octave. Out of my Hands - I HATE This song. But...the crowd dug it somehow. I sat down. Stand Up - Was hard to get back into it, but the band was good on it. Dave motioned some drum beats to Carter, great version though. Two Step - Great version. Longest i've heard live, Butch laid out a good 6 - 7 minute solo. ODH - By far the low point of the night, they tried to get us into it. Just didn't work What You Are - Great version. Normally love this song. But again, this set felt so old school....I thought it shoulda ended Steady as We Go, and Ants or Billies, or Watchtower or even Grey Street...i wasn't sure why he threw in this song...it just didn't settle right in my opinion. But an amazing set....even the road crew said: "Tonight's show in Charlotte was as good a reminder as any of how great it is to be alive! DMB really put on an amazing show. The venue here is a little smaller and more intimate than the last few amphitheaters we've been in lately. The band had a noticeably enjoyable time playing together for the enthusiastic crowd. Tonight saw the return of "Time Of The Season" in a more up-beat set list. The arrangement on Dreamgirl took a bit of a turn as the band experimented with some new chord changes at the tail end of the tune. Can't wait to see where it goes tomorrow." And I couldn't agree more.

Best show I've ever seen by far. I don't know if there's any other band that could have pulled off what they pulled off at Charlotte. If you heard this show then you know that Time of the Season, Say Goodbye and Two Step were not the only good songs played. The energy continues from the beginning to the end of the show.
