Overall it was a fairly decent show. Probably would not make my top 5 though. I was sitting Sec A Row H, Seat 13. I had to listen to some whiny bitch behind me the whole night because she couldn't see past my 6'5" frame. The highlight of the show was probably Two Step for me.

The best concert I've ever been to. The closing number of Louisiana Bayou with Robert Randolph joining DMB was incredibly wicked and blew away the Red Rocks shows. This is one that should be released as a Live Trax album, hands down no questions asked.

Another awesome show. Saw them a week ago in Columbus, was a little bored with the first three repeats from that one, but the middle rocked. Bartender, Two Step, and Steady as we Go made my night. Was disappointed when they didn't play Louisiana Bayou with RR, but made up for it with the encore. Think they should include him on a compilation live CD because he adds so much energy to those songs.

User: binski
Review:
was pretty disappointed. opened and closed the set with stand up songs and the encore consisted of two stand up songs. pretty lame. Robert Randolph kicked ass in both his set and the songs he guested on. He was nuts in LB but LB should have been played as the set closer.

Despite a little disappointment in the over abundance of Stand Up songs, this was a very good show. I was on the lawn unfortunately, and the crowd was not into it AT ALL. People were talking so much I could barely even hear the music. The sound was patheticly quiet. I was so happy to hear Two Step though! Dancing Nancies wasnt even near to as exciting as last year. But the song Stand Up, absolutely amazing live, as I was expecting. Robert Randolph playing Louisiana Bayou was incredible!! It might have even been a better ending jam session than Rapunzel last year. Dave never leaves you dissappointed!!!!!

Well I always wanted to know what the Dave Matthews Band would be without Boyd. And we got to know what that was like until Dancing Nancies. That was the first time Boyd was able to let loose. The show was just average to this point. The show started to pick up with the end of Two Step AFTER Butchís solo. Mainly Carterís solo brought the show to life. It seemed as though the band played the new ones with old ones that the average fan would know to try and carry this show to this point, except the old songs didnít seem to have much energy. It didnít seem to work for me. See Crash and Bartender, even Two step had a long lull. Great songs just weird placement! Anytime the band would get going Butch Taylor would come in with a 4 minute slow solo and bring down the energy. Although, I would have to say Carter was amazing with solos. Note Hello Again/Two Step! He carried the show until this point. This was some of the best solos I have seen from Carter in person. He was awesome. The last 3 songs, although new were amazing. Robert Randolph sat in on two of them. Stand up and Louisiana Bayou. Those might have been the best two songs of the night. The best new songs live, (the end of American Baby, Stand Up and Bayou. I would give the show a 7. It wasnít terrible but it wasnít great either.

June 15th 2005 ~RRFB, Incredible once again, the played all the same songs again... billie jean was awesome and two chicks came on stage to sing with the crowd.. pretty good jams to set up the rest of the night. ~sidenote 2 24oz Labatts... 19.00 2 24 Coors Light... 18.00 somone kill me! ~Dave Matthews Band *********Im going to say right now this has been the loudest place i've been in 33 Shows. i dont care what anyone else has been to. this tops it all for joeyfine and anyone else in attendence tongiht*********** ~Dream girl amazing opener, people love this song and it shows. from the start of the song to the end everyone sings along. its prolly also the last slow song till the encore so let me say we're in for a hella of a night! ~One Sweet World Make this the sixth time played @ blossom... 100% of the time DMB has come to blossom this song has been played. I said in my eariler reviews i wouldnt mind it bein sleveld for a while. But not at blossom, this is a blossom song for sure. good energy level and feedback from the crowd. ~American Baby beautiful song.. the end of this song makes everyone go nuts, it starts off slow then picks up to the point were if your not dancing you're not living. rock on to this song and Leroi Moore is a master of this song! ~What Would You Say another blossom fave... my ear still hurt from "mom its my BIRTHDAY would you day" wow soo loud.. people i cant stress enough the reason to give cleveland 2 nights next year.. we are loud and proud. ~Hello Again Hello, Im Carter.. i will own this song and make everyone in attendence ask if im the best drummer ever heard. seriously folks he makes this song what it is.. right before his solo people are screaming "Cut loose carter!!!!" its nuts the respect this man gets from everyone... ~by this time i've lost 3 gallons of water and its all in my shirt, i've never danced like i have tonight.. i think i can move like dave... ha ha ~Crash Alright, another slow song, but everyone loves this song! the singing, the holding, the kissing, everyone is in love with this song.. i had the nerve to tell a girl i was sitting next too that i lost my virginity to that song lol but o well. ~Bartender holy crap! Bartender blew the roof off the joint, pretty sure this was the longest song of the night, either this or 2step.. daves' dancing and carters' drumming made this song for me.. everyone was into it when dave was just whaling away "BARTENDER PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" wow amazing! ~Hunger For The Great Light this song keeps gettin faster and faster everytime i hear it.. "I want to be you're hunger" everyone is singing and the band is just keep bringing it.. louder and louder it gets and everyone loves their life for it by the way, my legs have never moved in such a fashion as they have tonight. ~Two Step i thought the set was ending with this song.. I have not heard a midset Two step in forever!!!!!! this song was made for butch taylor!!! wow he rocked it out.. did i mention this song was MIDSET? they keep changing the outro on this song.. it hasnt ended the same way foreve and its well worth a listen to those people who went to Star lake night 2. ~sidenote ok i thought the show was over right here.. im not kidding either, i thought it was 11 already and was ready to back it in lol but then... ~Steady As We Go oh wait, the set isnt over? a great way to keep the enegry going. i was a lil mad @ the blossom crowd for leaving to get drinks or potty but it was better for them to do it now then to leave for the next blossom favorite song.. ~Grey Street I do not care if they play this song 100 times in a row. this song will be loved 100 times in a row. the energy from this song was the highest of all night. EVERYONE knows and sings this song! "she would change everything about HER, using COLORS bold and BRIGHT" wow folks i could not believe the feed back from the band while. im pretty sure they didnt know what to do with the 20,000 people cheer them on while they played tonight, like i said.. TWO NIGHTS ~Dancing Nancies KILL ME... wow we got Nancies after grey street.. this will be known has Boyd's song, he killed the crowd tongiht with this lil diddy. i love how dave sings "sing and dance" then the crowd comes in with "la la hey la la hey la la" and it just keeps coming!! This set list might be the same as the past couple of nights to us on ANTS... but to the people @ blossom it sounded like they've never looked @ the setlist ever! ~You Might Die Trying I dont get it, how do all the people know the lyrics to these new songs already.. i know i've said it before but this isnt like 2001 with everyday or 2003 with busted stuff. everyone knows these songs are comign and they love to hear them.. the jam in this song is very good.. people are jumping around. ~Stephan Intro he cut loose here man, once he did his bass intro everyone knew what was commin but they love to hear fonzi get some time of his own! ~Crush another blossom favorite, all i must say is boyd vs stephan duel any day of the week... i love how these two get soo close to each other while bobbin and just jammin away while dave is in the corner doin his thing. then Carter does his thing with Stephan and Boyd. you couldnt ask for a better song he he or could u?? ~Stand Up Rober Randolf came out and he got a loud cheer from the crowd.. not becuase of him, you see the camera got a close up of the Jersery he was wearing... #19 Kosar! he was wearing a Bernie Kosar Jersey!! wow the poeple loved this lol. the song was fantastic too, i think we should make it a rule from now one once dave says stand up you should throw your hands in the air! wow what an ending ~Encore Holy CRAP this venue IS LOUD.. it keeps gettin louder too! only 4 minutes go by before the band comes out again to play! whats next???? ~Stolen Away On 55th & 3rd I Heard it in C-bus and i enjoy it.. this is one of those songs that people {including dave} do not know the lyrics too yet. i say dave too cuz he had to sit down and look at them while playing lol it was the 2nd or 3rd (if you count crash) slow song of the night... it was time to blow the roof off AGAIN! ~Louisiana Bayou Hey Robert Randolf did such a great job during stand up, let have him close the night out with the best new song off stand up.. Bayou is amazing live!! this sounded, looked, & felt BETTER than Star Lake & Columbus combine... the crowd was into it! at one point it was Carter, Boyd & Stephan dueling each other and Dave vs Robert while Leroi and Butch did there thing... folks my ears we're hurting soo bad after this show it was crazy!

for me this was a super show! the closest i've ever been... 2nd row. and i danced/sang Billy Jean on stage with Robert Randolph and the Family Band!!! and i held up a blown-up image of a picture that Dave himself drew for me (long story how that happened) and Dave saw it and gave me a head nod, smile and a little wave. i must say, i'm quite content - it was fabulous! :)

Drive there: Not too bad, took the back way in, but got diverted because of "sobriety checkpoints," that we later found out were non-existent. Opening Act: Robert Randolf and the Family Band, these guys can freaking jam! Highlights include a cover of Billie Jean. Main Event: #1: Dream Girl; I like the song, but it really didn't do much for me, I would have liked to see this one later on in the show...Don't think its opening material. #2: One Sweet World: Everytime I hear this song live I enjoy it even more, and every show I've been to at Blossom this has played. Definately a fan favorite and lots of great energy all around for this one. #3 : American Baby: I like the live version of this song ALOT better than the album version. Great energy from the crowd, throughout and Leroi rocked it out! #4: What Would You Say: Great energy all around, crowd went CRAZY. #5: Hello Again: Energy from WWYS carried right into this song, second time I've heard this one at blossom and this was definately better than the first! #6: Crash into Me: Missed most of this song, was getting beer :( #7: Bartender: Wow they really jammed this sucker out, everyone dancing and going CRAZY! #8: Hunger For the Great Light: I think it killed the flow that was going, however I was amazed at home many people new the lyrics to this one. #9: Two Step: Wow, this song live, alone was worth the price of admission, the jams by Butch were Amazing. #10: Steady as we go: Again disrupted the flow of the setlist, but this is a great song, the live version is great. #11: Grey Street: Amazing, song is like a fine wine, gets better as it ages. #12: Dancing Nancies: WOW. Blew the freaking roof out of the pavilion. High energy, however I liked last years "Could I have been lost somewhere in Cleveland". Still a good tune though, I thought they'd end it here. #13: You might Die Trying: not really a fan of most of the new stuff live, yet. I think I'm going to need some time, or they need to work on the flow of the setlist ALOT better. #14: Crush: WOW. Stefan cut loose in the intro, and the crowd went wild. #15: Stand Up: Show ended with this one great song. Robert Randolf came out and jammed with the band. sidenote going into the encore: I think serious the band only left the stage for about 5 minutes, can we get a freaking second night at blossom PLEASE!? Encore: Stolen Away: Decent Song, would have rather had Along Watchtower, but again, alot of this new stuff isn't flowing well with the older stuff. Lousiana Bayou: Randolf came out and Jammed with the band, again, WOW. This was an amazing song live. The crowd really got into it. Randolf was jumping up and down it was insane. Overall: Great show. I would have moved the setlist around a bit more. The crowd and the band were amazing again. And most proof that blossom needs 2 nights! Leaving: Utterly horrible, took over 2 hours to get out the this joint, they need to put more exits in this place its horrific trying to get out of there.

Honestly, I thought last year was great, until I heard this year. I was hoping for Dancing Nancies and Warehouse, but what I got blew me away. Boyd and Dave where awesome in Dancing Nancies. The roof blew off with the performance they gave for TWO STEP. And then they ended with another great live song LOUISIANA BAYOU. Damn I have seen a lot of dave shows but I think those three performances were the three Live songs I have ever seen. EVER!!! The rest of the tour will suck compared to the performance we got in Cleveland.....

Review:
Dreamgirl: beautiful opener, always nice to hear, Dave raising his hands up high OSW: standard, crowd not completely into it AB: for whatever reason, this really got the crowd going; probably due to radioplay; but also, Dave pulled out his usual yelling at the end--- really high power ending WWYS: always a crowd pleaser, otherwise standard Hello: Carter Beauford on the drums. Good outro (but Polaris seemed better) Crash: standard Bartender: saw the 12 string come out and knew we were in for something good; great, beautiful outro ala Butch and LeRoi Hunger: after hearing this yet again, I keep loving it more; lighting adds a lot Two Step: nice bonus, wow; Boyd and Dave as usual were on; great jams by Butch; great Carter interludes here and there Steady: wow, loving this more too; sounds like an 80's song; powerful when it closes out Grey: nice jam at the end Nancies: interesting "pseudo" scat at the beginning, dave fumbled around a bit, but a great version, Boyd "in your face" with Dave; thought we'd get warehouse, but...... Die Trying: I keep loving the ending to this song more and more Crush: nice jam, very funky version Stand Up: not a fan of this as the set closer, but great to see robert randolph again; fun song with a great outro, but can get a bit repetitive Stolen: had a feeling this would come; Dave pulled a chair out and sat down to play this song; nice symbolism, can't get enough of LeRoi on this one; love his themes on this one Bayou: again a great Robert Randolph guest closer; WOW, at the end, the outro IMHO was better than Polaris (which I thought was great too); Dave, Stefan, Boyd, Robert were all RHYTHMICALLY jumping up and down.

The energy of the crowd during the whole show was great just like last year. Bayou was the best though as everyone was jumping up and down just like BT and Fonzie. Dave and Robert were doing there thing dancing too. Can't wait till next year back at Blossom.

I've now been to three show Dave Matthews Band shows and I have to see this was defintly the best one. I got to hear my two favorite songs for the first time, "Two Step" and "Dancing Nancies". I got go goosebumps when they went in "Two Step" and the little intro to "Nancies" was very nice, and what I take as confusing to people in the crowd, because the guy next to me said to the guy in front of him "This isn't Nancies." but I knew it was automaticly, the first verse was sung really low by Dave for some reason, but it was a neat added effect. It was nice to hear "Grey Street" and "Hello Agian" for the thrid time, "HA" was different than the other two times I heard it because it's now on the album but it's still kick ass live. "One Sweet World" was well, sweet and the jam on "Bartender" was kick ass. The new songs - "Dreamgirl", "The Hunger For Great Light", "You Might Die Trying", "Steady As We Go", "Stolen Away On 55th And 3rd" all sound really good live (I was happy to get "THFGL" and "Die Tryin" because those are my favorite songs on the new album), the light effect on "THFGL" was neat but overdone. A nice "Crush" and "Crash Into Me". Robert Randolph did a great job on "Stand Up (For It)". The hightlight of the show had to be the jam at the end of the show w/DMB and RR on "Lousians Bayou", I have never heard anything that insane, it was so down-right amazing. Robert Randoplh And The Family Band opended the show and their set was kick ass and alot of fun. The Michael Jackon-cover segment was done well and the rest of the songs sounded good. The crowd was in to it all night durning DMBs set and it was just a great, great show. Not to mentiont I had a great seat!

This was the third time that I had seen the band this week and I would have to say the energy level was below par. Hello Again, Two Step, Nancies, Grey Street, and Nancies were rocking as usual. It was Carters night as he had countless drum solos and jams. Robert Randolph was great but did not have the energy of the last Nobelsville show. Overall a pretty good show.

Well, this was my 10th show and my eighteenth birthday, and i was kinda disapointed. The crowd in the lawn was one word, SHIT. They didnt get into the show and it kinda took away from it. The band started out with three really slow openers and I think that set the tone for the rest of the show. Nancies was sweet as so was the two step. It was an OK show and the WWYS was awesome when i could yell for real."MOM ITS MY BIRTHDAY" So it was a good time all together and was sweet to watch my girlfriend at her first dave experience. To all the blossom people sing and dance for cryin out loud..ITS DAVE... Josh
