Great set list, Tim and Dave were on top of their game. Incredible Satelite, Cry Freedom, Stay or Leave. Hope they do it again.

My first adventure in seeing Dave live. I've been an avid boot collector for a while now, with Dave and Tim shows being my absolute favs. So when I read in the UMass Daily Collegian that Dave and Tim would be playing on campus - I jumped at the opportunity. About 4000 of us were waiting outside the venue for many hours the day tix went on sale, and only 5 or so were sold at the event - so I eBayed myself into the poor house.... WORTH EVERY PENNY... I knew it was the sickest show I would ever see when he opened with Bartender (11 minutes worth) Amazing intro to Satellite - Dave singing backup for the crowd on Everyday - Dancing Nancies intro was awesome - The new tune Stay or Leave was damn good... Don't Drink the Water, mnyes.... Was blown away by Long Black Veil - Tim's second solo was unreal, and yet many people found it to be a good bathroom break. Only other tune I really wished for was Warehouse... Going to see the band in CT at the end of August, but I won't expect anything to be quite like Dave and Tim.

My first ever Dave concert! Everything I expected except for this one incredibly annoying girl shouting "Yeah Dave!" at 30 second intervals till she finally ran out of voice about 2 hours into the show.

Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds end their acoustic tour with a late announced show in Amherst, MA to benefit the The Tiger Kloof School. A small crowd of 2,000 piled into the Mullins Center at University of Massachusetts Amherst to listen to the intimate set list. The set was full of D&T tour standards, including the Bartender opener. When the World Ends was complemented with an extended ending. Dave started Satellite with an interesting off key intro; slowly adjusting each riff til he was playing in key. Everyday proved to be a real crowd pleaser, with Dave actually singing back up to crowd, singing the #36 verse. Stay or Leave, the new song introduced in this tour, made another appearance; exposing more fans to the newest Dave song. Jimi Thing was also a treat, with an excellent transition into What Will Become of Me. Dave lent some excellent Dave speak with Crash Into Me, “Some people hate this song and some people love it- I happen to love it.” Dancing Nancies was well done, with an extended intro full of Dave rambling on about how it would like to be a poor man on the street. Long Black Vail was a welcome surprise as an encore, Dave credits the song to Johnny Cash who, “really made the song popular.” The concert was closed with Ants Marching, the choice throughout the Dave and Tim tour for closing sets. Tonight’s show was a solid way to close the D&T tour.

Best show I've ever seen. I am a huge fan of accoustic guitar (thanks to Dave). So it's only natural that I would enjoy this show as much as I did. The only bad part was that my girl couldnt make it so I had to go alone. And smoking weed by yourself in the mullins center is a little sketchy. So I could have done without that uncomfort. I dont know how Tim Reynolds does it... Seeing him alone would be worth the show. Overall... if you need to pick one concert to go to over the course of a year, go to this one

I went to the D&T show at the Oakdale and I wasn't impressed with the Mullins Center. The seats were too close together and were uncomfortable. I enjoyed Dave and Tim however I couldn't really understand a lot of what Dave was saying when he spoke and the overall sound I don't think was very good. (I was in Sec C Row 16) I was mad cause I forgot my glasses and couldn't see Dave or Tim at all...We ended up leaving after Dancing Nancies cause I didn't feel well and wanted to beat the traffic. Now I am upset because I see I missed LBV.I love that song. Overall good performances and I really look forward to the whole band this summer at the Meadows!

first dave and tim conert this tour but boy was it a good one. drove in from boston after getting raped on my last final exam of the year. got chased by 2 wicked ugly gritter girl that were trying to give us directions at first then trying to eat us. but anyway...the show was fucking great. we sit down and someone offers us some bud like 5 min later, then the same people ask us if we want to switch seats with their friends who are on the floor...i was like 'twist my arm...sure' so we moved down to the floor maybe 20th row. THE MAKER WAS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME...along with long black veil and 41...too bad he didnt play warehouse, pig, grey street or big eyed fish but overall it was a great concert. the crowd was quiet and laid back for the most part until ants at the end...my friend and i shouted 'gumbo' in between songs and dave replied 'gumbo...great stuff, with all the sausages and veggies and stuff, good stuff'...dave fucking replied to us! if any of you know what gumbo is then we are taking this thing national...if not enquire with some east coast friends

Good show. The setlist was good, the Davespeak was awesome, and the crowd was pretty cool. Dave's voice was a little weaker than usual, and I would've liked to hear him really belt out some of those notes rather than come at them hesitantly. Highlights were Stone; Gravedigger; DDTW; Crush; Stay or Leave; and Nancies. Low point was LBV -- although I love this song, I didn't like this performance of it, with Dave singing an octave lower through most of it.

Dave is so funny. He says things like "Ya big boob" "Ya big lug" "Inner boot maneuvers" He has a great habbit of rambling when their is a mike in front of him that he apologizes for. And he says if he seems tangential it's because Timmy whispers in his ear so he has to speak for both of them. (no it's just dave being great)

Quite honestly, this was one of the best experiences I've had as a Dave fan. As I have told my friends on several occasions, "if I was a woman, I would've cried!". Although this was the first time I've seen Dave and Tim acoustic together, I am a veteran of 17 DMB shows and 3 Tim Reynolds shows (strange character...). I was somewhat surprised that noone was dancing at any point during the show.

Being my first D&T show, I can't compare. But let me say that this was the most fantastic show I've ever been to. The sound was great, and like true soldiers, they played for 3+ hours. Tim's solos were mind blowing; the first beautiful, and the second full of peaks and valleys with a symphonic feel to it. He has such a great way of being able to play the bass notes and a melody at the same time. Dave Matthew's voice was stroong as well as his ever solid playing. One can only drean to be this good all around, someday.

I've been to two of the Dave and Tim shows and this was by far the better of the two that I saw. Tho Dave did give himself a hard time for not feeling good, he was great!! He looked really thin! Not a lot of banter for great set list and a great intimate sound.

My first Dave & Tim show. I couldn't have asked for a better seat, considering when I got my ticket, and for a better place to have a show. I'm a big fan of the Mullins Center, so when I heard they were playing there, I had to at least go and meet up with friends. I loved hearing Bartender as an opener. Hearing the recordings made me want to hear this even more than before. When the World Ends rocked. I love the extended outro. The Stone, what a great surprise that was. I've only heard it live once before, and I love that song. So Much to Say, always a favorite to hear. Where Are You Going, was ok. I'm not huge fan of it. It's definitely better acoustic than full band. Two Step! Ah, I love that song. This was the point where I was having a hard time sitting down for the rest of the show. I just wanted to jump up and start dancing. Gravedigger! So, yeah, where did that song come from??? I'm in love with that song. It's so much better acoustic than full band, in my opinion. Satellite rocked. I especially loved the eerie, disonent intro. The Maker. One of my favorite covers. That was one of the two covers that I was dying to hear live. Don't Drink the Water, wow. I love that song, a lot. Crush. I love that song almost as much as I love my boyfriend. This is our song, and hearing it without him next to me this time really made me appreciate him so much more. Everyday/#36. Hot damn! That song was definitely one of my higlights of the evening. I loved how the crowd started into #36 at the end, and Dave went right along with it, nodding his head, and singing in between the rest of the crowd. Then giving us props at the end! What a point in the show! Stay or Leave. This song gets better each time I hear it. My first time live (naturally), but I've listened to recordings, and I really like it. Tim Solo. Tim is the Man. Jimi Thing. One of my favorite jam songs. Loved it. I'm a big fan of the WWBOM outro as well. Grace is Gone is such a treat to hear. It gives me such a mellow feeling that makes me want to smile. Grey Street. My favorite song off the LWS! I love hearing that song! It's up there on my list of favorite songs. Defintiely #2 or 3. And to hear Dave & Tim play was such a thrill! Cry Freedom. Wow, just wow. Lie In Our Graves was amazing. I love that song, too. I really liked hearing it live. This made me wish for summer more now than ever! Crash. I've been dying to hear this song at a show for a long while. I'm so glad I finally heard it. I was just about jumping out of my seat when they started it. And the Dixie Checken outro! By far my favorite outro ever. Tim Solo. One again, Tim is the Man. No, he's more like the God of guitar playing as far as I'm concerned. He was absolutely amazing last night. He definitely deserved the standing ovation. Dancing Nancies. Unbelievable! The Drunkman Intro was so sweet! I loved that song beyond belief. Encore: Long Black Veil. BAM! There it is, the other cover I've wanted to hear live! It was such a pleasure to hear that. Ants Marching. This song was hot! The crowd got up off their butts and stood for this one. I got on the phone with my best friend. This is our song. We have so many memories that I just had to call her. All in all, a very good show. I'm very glad that someone was able to hook me up with a ticket when I got there.

Tremendous performance and an enthusiastic crowd. As usual, some chose to hit the bathrooms during Tim's solos, and missed out on some amazing work. Looking back a few month now, Everyday/#36 and Jimi Thing stand out as my favorite performances. And the Dave speak was fun as always.

You know what? I love Dave so much acoustic now I want him to tour every year like this! I loved URI so much I had to go here too. Bartender was the perfect opener. Tim Reynolds is such a master at what he does he was mesmerizing. Dave sang such a great mellow mix of tunes. Ants at the end was well worth the wait. Who cares about the traffic! My fave part of the night was when Dave was playing Everyday and the crowd started in on #36"Hani, Hani) before he was even there yet, and then he joined in! Wow, chills! Hey Dave if you're looking for some back up singers I know about 5,000 right here who'd like to apply. Other highlights: Two Step, Grace, Graves, Grey Street, and Dancing Nancies. There's no possible way it could be any better. Not to mention Dave is one of the funniest people on the planet, he was cracking us up! Perfect A+++++ of a show. I hope Dave and Tim team up again very soon. It will be our pleasure

Review:
just have to say that Dave & Tim continue to amaze me each and every time I see them and I feel so lucky that I was able to see them 3 times on this tour. I hope the two of them will play again in my lifetime, but if not, at least I know I made the effort and got lucky enough to catch them 4 times in my life (saw them in the Beacon in 99). -As for the venue, it was kind of cool..obviously not as intimately set up like a theater but the acoustics were surprisingly pretty good and I thought the crowd was very good (relative to two other shows i was at) a couple of assholes screaming stupid shit, but even they evenutally settled down and got into the show. there really was not a bad seat in the house. Again, no typical situation but what an unbelievable version of Everyday. The crowd actually initiated the Hani Hani at the end and Dave fed into it..the crowd picked up as the show went on and during this Hani Hani part there was actually a chill running down my spine over how sick and surreal the moment was. Definitely the highlight i think not only of this show, but of any of the shows I have seen. I was quick to pick up how special of a moment that was and told Berg (my friend) as soon as that song was over how special that moment was. Second biggest highlight was the Dave scatting at the end of Crush..cool as shit..Gravedigger and WTWE are both unbelievable live and acoustic and was happy i got to hear Stay or Leave (my friend left during that cause he was faked out by Dave putting his guitar down for a second as if he was gonna allow Timmy to do his first solo. It serves my friend Berg right, that prick, becasue Timmy's solos are sick and should not be used as bathroom breaks. Berg is no longer my friend.) Anyway, peace out for now and hope to see ya'll this summer at COntinental, Tweeter, and The Gorge with Tamara.
