Good, solid show, and Dave brought the holiday spirit to everyone with Christmas Song.

good show, but too similar to the 12/17 show in albany. i gues that's what i get for going to both shows... :)

Lots of fun, but leaves a lot to be desired for tomrrow...They were just on tonight though...nothing else can say it better...The NY crowd combined with high energy songs like Wharehouse and Crush led to a memberable night. Get this show just for the Louie's during Wharehouse...

SICK, just as MSG always is. My thrid trip to the venue and X-mas in the city is the shizznit. Went in the city with Mitch, Heintz, Shep, Barbs and Zig. Got CJ knobs and was OUT THERE!!!! Fucked up. Highlights were def Loving wings and X-mas song, but wasn't happy with What you are to end it. Oh well, puked on the way home, perfect ending to a perfect night with friends. Going to try to scalp tomorrow, gotta see the boys again.

Great show. My only complaint would be Sleep to dream her and I did it. Warehouse was amazing with Louie, Louie and the place was just rockin last night. Tonight should be a classic though at least I hope

The rumor was that Dave was sick for this show and you could kind of tell. Did not like the opener at all but he redeemed himself with Jane. Good mix of songs and the encore was great!

As a holiday present to ourselves, my girlfriend (now wife) and I took the train up from South Jersey to NYC, went out for a nice dinner, and went to see DMB at one of the venues best known for a great show. It was known that DMB was near the end of the tour and always rock out MSG. After being impressed by the opener (Karl Denson's Tiny Universe), we were ready for a rockin' show. We were expecting a few rarities to keep this ol' timer on his toes. Opening with "Captain" followed by "STJL" was certainly a suprise. The encore with my first "Xmas Song" and a powerful "What You Are" was a good way to end the set. The middle, while of normal DMB excellence, was a bit predictable and standard. The only exception to this was a full-band rendition of "Loving Wings". The crowd really got into the #36/Everyday sing-along, and Dave and Boyd were excited by this. It was a fun show overall, but not nearly as exciting as the one the next night that I wish the Warehouse had come through for me on.

Review:
Brought a sign that read - "Hey Carter - Stick me for Christmas!" It got the band's attention at after the encore, I got the stick he played the encore with. We had a brief little convo!

User: DmBand801
Review:
good show---15 minute bartender---Louie Louie during Warehouse---Everyone singing along during Everday and an Unforgettable Christmas song, What you are, ehhhh.....but probably the most nasty 4 songs before a break that the boys have ever done....(Warehouse--Crush--Everyday and Two Step)

This show was amazing....i finally got the Stone and When the World Ends, two of my favorites. I know im going to get hated on for liking WTWE, but oh well. Christmas song was amazing, and What You Are is a decent closer. I would have loved to have heard Dreaming Tree, The Last Stop, or Halloween, but I can't complain. Crush was amazing to hear, as was Song That Jane Likes. Two step never gets old. Great show. MSG is an amazing place.

Great show very similar to the show I saw in Hartford over the summer (7.26.02). Dave played a great medley of Warehouse with Louie Louie Outro, Crush and then Two Step. Excellent show however I was a little suprised he opened with Captain and dissapointed with What You Are as the encore closer I wanted to hear watchtower or ants marching. Theres always the next show

User: FishMonkMan

Great show, amazing Warehouse with the "Louie Louie's" towards the end. Little did I know what would happen the next night.

A change of pace from the summer to say the least, but a great show. Captain was a big surprise as an opener, but nice to hear. Bartender was great and the closing run of Warehouse through Two Step was incredible. First time hearing Christmas song was great, but would have preferred Billies over WYA for the closer.

Review:
All I wanted from this show was Halloween. I've never gotten it live and I wanted it so bad. Dave was nice enough to tease it for me before Grace is gone. Ugh! This was still a good show. Not one of the best but it was still damg good. I like the way that What You Are has progressed. Christmas Song was nice. I enjoyed my other shows in 2002 more but this was still a good performance at an awesome venue.

Warehouse was the definite highlight of the evening. I didn't think it could get much better up to that point, but it did. Big props to the crowd for providing a lot of enjoyment for the night. All the New Yorkers at the show put so much energy into getting into the great live songs like Warehouse and Two Step. Very enjoyable evening tonight, my favorite Dave show so far.

This was a good show; normally I would say great, but coming between the 12/17 Albany and the 12/21 MSG, both of which were AMAZING, what can I say? Had good seats with good crowd around us, which was cool. Song highlights were STJL; Bartender; WTWE; Grey Street; Stone; STDH; Warehouse (with Dave's Louie, Louie yell); Crush; Two Step; and Christmas Song. I like Captain, but it's a pretty weak opener. Definitely another solid show.

Great show !! Bartender & Grace Is Gone were just frikkin awesome. Warehouse just tore the place up !! But I have to agree with the prior comment on "Sleep To Dream Her" ... it put everyone's lights out - but that was the only downer.

Somewhat disappointing follow up to 5/29/02, but still a pretty good show. The Everyday songs bothered me more than usual. Warehouse with Louie Louie was clutch, and Two Step was powerful.

This is the only DMB show I've ever left pissed at. Practically the same show as Albany, including set closer and encore. I was pissed. Then the great show the next night that I wasnt at just frustrated me. Oh well

User: Moose6868
Review:
Decent show. Very interesting setlist. Captain was a great way to open the show; very jazzy. the song that jane likes is always a pleasure. loving wings has really evolved into a great jam song. warehouse was great, as always, and the louie louie outro was a very welcomed surprise. crush was probably the best song of the night. two step to end the set was great; i think someone told me it was about 19 minutes long. christmas song-jesus christ (no pun intended) was that great. everyone was singing along low enough to hear dave, but loud enough for it to really come through. what you are-ehh, not the best way to end the show, but it just goes to show that the band is holding out for tonight's show which should be much better.

STJL....im a happy man, although MSG nite 2 would have been something only to rival 6.11.01

Review:
I thought the crowd was pathetic. Most of them seemed to just go because they had heard it might be fun but were not DMB fans. I love it when the audience is into each song not just the top 40 hits. DMB was of course phenomenal but the crowd was a downer.

7th show (1st of tour, 5th of year) Great venue, even though i was behind the stage i could see fine, saw dave's wowed look after a Carter solo. Missed James Brown by one day, went to 12-20 and 12-22. Two Step rocked my world.

Best show I've seen out of 3 (partially because of front row seats) Captain opener set a jazzy mood and STJL brought the whole audience to its feet. Too Much, bartender and wtwe kept it very upbeat. Grace is Gone was funky with the slide guitar. I did it was average. Stone was awesome as always and stdh was actually pretty good. Loving Wings was very chill. Warehouse had to be the highlight of the show with the intense action and Louie Louie. Crush was great and everyday was also. two step had a very cool intro. Christmas Song was average and what you are had a violent outro. What a fantastic show!
