Had very poor seats and the venue had poor acoustics, but Jimi Thing was pretty enjoyable, as was Cortez with Warren Haynes.

My first DMB show. My 11 yr old son's first ever concert. I'm trying to raise one damn fine music lover. So of course I thought it was awesome! Will make Dave a yearly family tradition.

Great show. Cortez, OSW, Waste, etc. My seats were behind the stage so I had a GREAT view of Carter for the entire show. It was amazing to watch him with a view of his whole body unobstructed by his drum kit. I was in complete AWE. Gov't Mule opener is always a treat as well.

They smoke a lot in Denver :) Band seemed mellow in a good way out there. Nice jams. The Ants/Billies combo was the third I'd seen in a row.

Great seats for this show. I was worried because they were on the side of the stage, but they ended up being so close it was great. Grey Street, Grace is Gone, Crush (first time I had seen Crush live, so excited) and Fool to Think (one of the only songs I like off Everyday) were highlights, as was Jimi and Billies to finish. A few less drinks would have been advisable, the memory is a little shaky of this show unfortunately..

these two people in front of me tried to bust me and my friends for smoking pot. How weird is that?

Warren Haynes on stage. No need to say much more. Cortez was awesome and Dave's solo at the end was amazing!

Decent show, not one of the better shows I've seen, but I've never seen a bad one. A rare cortez the killer was the highlight of the night.

I originally posted this on nancies.org on May 11, 2002. No edits have been made... this is what I said then and I stand by it. (If you are actually reading this.)

It was hard to top the energy and setlist length from last year's show in Boulder, and DMB didn't really try to do such on their most recent trip to Colorado. It was a pretty mellow night all in all. But for all its mellowness, it didn't suck. There was no Crash, Space Between, or Satellite to slow things down. It was more of a groove mellow - Songs like Crush and Fool to Think, for example. Grace is Gone just keeps getting better. And the moody Grey Street might jam at spots... but it really is a fairly mellow song. The two new songs were mellow too. Cortez the Killer was awesome, too. But most of the crowd was unenthused my another such slower song. The Pepsi Center's sound wasn't so hot. There was a lot of ringing and echoing that you really noticed on songs that you didn't know the lyrics too. Still, a wonderful show. Better than last year? Maybe not. But it was different and it was Dave Matthews Band. So we still went home happy.

Well...first off, I hate Pepsi Center. But I sure enjoy my Dave Matthews Band!!! Had some "radio" fans around me...and it irritated me! Girls in front were from VA....and cried when hearing OSW. That made me remember that DMB Fans are the BEST!! Warren Haynes on Cortez the Killer..awesome. Ants Marching brought the house down!

My first dave concert and it was amazing. The band was great. The new stuff is pretty good live, however, i wish they played more from older albums and unreleased. Loving Wings is one of the best unreleased songs. I still want to hear sweet up and down live

Pretty good show. MY second. Place went kinda crazy when Dave opened with WWYS. It was good... Everyone seemed kinda off or sad or something. Boyd had little to no energy for most of the set. But overall was a great set... It was cool to hear WASTE and TRIPPING BILLIES for the first time live for me. I guess the only thing i really didn't enjoy all that much was after the first few songs Dave would mumble into the microphone and everyone would encourage it.. I mean i know that that is just dave being dave and that is fine but i cant help but feel like it was a little slap in the face to the audience... but they are the greatest ever, there's no denying that.
