I ditched work to see this show. I promised to be back to help finish up so I wasn't able to see the very end, but I saw most of it. Everything opened for Dave. All of the Dave Matthews Band was on stage jamming with the guys from Everything during their last song, Soul Fish. They played for what felt like 40 mins, it went on for ever. It was almost dusk when the Dave Matthews Band finially got out to play their set. I think I watched 4 or 5 songs and then I really had to get back to work. I heard that they only played one or two more songs before the campus police shut down the show because it was too dark. Lake Matoka Amphitheater was dilapidated and had no lighting; beautiful by the lake, but falling apart. I don't remember anyone talking about a 30 min jam of Recently but perhaps the jam discussed in the notes was confused with the long jam of Soul Fish with Everything.

To clarify, because I was there and because I have the 2nd generation soundboard tape, they played for about 1 hour but they had to stop because of new curfew restrictions with music at Matoaka. There was a whole Matoaka music festival with Everything, Boy O Boy (which became Fighting Gravity), Gibb Droll and another act. For Recently, the horn players from Boy O Boy plus some guys from Everything came up and played. The version is about 10-15 minutes long. I can check the tape sometime and can tape for anyone who wants it.
