Wow, I didn't realize people acknowledged this show existed. I am one of maybe 75 people who were fortunate enough to have seen this show live. And I am personally responsible for the taping. It was done on a small handheld recorder. I traded the show to a very select few of tapers for rare shows at the time. I had my whole tape collection stolen from my car in the summer of 1996. It really took the wind out my sails so to speak, due to the time and money I had spent gathering these shows. I have yet to really get back into it, choosing only to get a show here and there for personal listening.
This show really signifies everything "great" that I remember about my last year in high school. I grew up in Greenville and was one of the few DMB fans at the time the "boys" rolled into town for this little show. This was the last intimate setting I would ever see the guys play in and boy they didn't let me down. Dave and Boyd actually seemed a little nervous in the small setting and I will never forget hearing #40 played. This song still sits with me when I think back to the this time period. I hope everyone gets a chance to hear this show. Its kinda sad, I don't even have a copy anymore but hope to change that soon.
