Another great concert, sat up on the lawn with a couple friends who were having a fight. Didn't bother me one bit, it's all about the music.

I have only vague recollections of this concert, as we missed the first 3 songs thanks to a horrible experience getting into the amphitheatre. Traffic was a nightmare as this was one of the first concerts ever at this venue. Bummer.

I flew in from my tour in Korea to see my first offical show and I must say that the energy from the band was unbelievable! I heard alot of songs that I haven't heard before and versions I was blown away by. Wow!

This review comes 4 years late. The show was excellent. The venue, once inside, was spectacular. There doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the house. Lie in Our Graves was a highlight and JTR and Grace is Gone were stunning. Took two hours to get out of the parking lot, but other than that...

First ever Dave show...and it lived up to every expectation! Even my girlfriend at the time (who deems DMB not her "cup of tea") came away a fan! The highlight of the show was easily "Lie in Our Graves." Didn't care for "Satellite" or "Proudest Monkey" much, but then again, we can't win 'em all. Also, it was great to hear the new tracks. The Lillywhites - before the scrapped them - were heavily in the set. Very nice. And the performance of "JTR" was great! Speaking of which, haven't heard it live since...good thing I was there.

So I gave Sacramento another chance. After the Arco debacle in 1999, I almost quit Sacramento for good. But living in Reno, SacTown was closer than SF, and this time it was outdoors. So it had to be better, right? Hey Sacramento, you suck! It's a concert. You are supposed to stand up and dance. Don't yell at the people in front of you who are dancing and enjoying the concert just because your fat ass is stuck to the seat. Same thing happened to me at a Lenny Kravitz show in Sac. Shut up or stay at home and watch the Lisenter Supported DVD if you want to sit during an entire DMB show. The band seemed a little down, too. Of course I didn't know at the time that Dave was going though some sort of early mid-life crisis and was utterly depressed. Very sad to say, worst show ever.
Hey SacTown, I hope the RiverCats move to Reno! You (and Dave's depression) ruined my Dave Matthews Band concert, you bastards!

Well I got lucky enough to get 2nd Row for this show. And man it blows everything away. I mean being 10 feet from Dave and the guys was just.... Well a totally new experience. Every song became my favorite.

GREAT SHOW!....Soooooooo happy to now have an outdoor venue to experience the DMB live. Most tickets sold to date, for any type of event, at this venue since it opened. Everybody half-dressed as temperatures neared the 100deg. late in the afternoon. As the lights lowered, and the band took the stage, a friendly "fog" swept over the entire lawn area....which all made for truely "euphoric" evening.
