It's not that simple. Often there's much more red tape in trying to obtain an ID than showing up to a polling place to vote, especially if you don't have all your personal documents in order. This was an example from Texas:

So, usually what happens is people are able to find a ride/take a day off work, but then encounter a snag which requires more future trips. And people get overwhelmed with how complicated it can be and just give up because they don't have reliable time/money/resources to do it.

Edit: Or like DMBSU said...they vote by mail.

If your sky daddy invented voting, then not sharing it with the whole world a long time ago makes the deity look like an asshole.

Spread ballots far and wide. Churches, MAGA rallies, Hardo pretend warrior gatherings. Voting should be encouraged and made easy for everyone.

Yea if you wanna talk about legislature to give everyone a free ID they can get from ordering at home, then ill listen to your voter ID ideas. But we know why they dont pair stuff like this.


Its simpler and smarter to just make the system easier to vote.
