Oh God me too, Im so ready to get moving out there. I commented on a Reddit post a week or so to a guy with an "Ask Me Anything about being homeless in RVA." I read through and realized the original poster was also a veteran. I'm in social work for an agency that assists veterans who are at risk or experiencing homelessness find sustainable and meaningful employment (buying shit they need for work like tools, boots, etc, or forklift training, peer support counseling training, etc). I obviously dont want to be doxxed, especially by myself. So I made a new account and made a comment outlining resources in the area, how we can assist, and where to locate/call when ready to ask for help. It seemed to have been shadowbanned from being a fresh account, as the comment never showed up until a little later. After I asked the mods if they could greenlight the comment, it finally just published. Some dude (not sure if OP) calls at 9pm and leaves a voicemail claiming that I take money from homeless vets, that I'm a con-man, and to frankly "go fuck [my]self." All because the account was a day old.

TLDR; Tried to put something nice out into the world and was told to go fuck myself

I need to be surrounded by my DMB people soon. Real life getting fucky.

only show that has sold out recently was N2 Saturday, but there's always tickets.

Yes. Besides maybe (possibly (some chance)) the Saturday show, the lawn should not sell out. I don't recall seeing a box office, but there has to be one somewhere, right? I know that's a great way to avoid TM fees when purchasing. If not, tons were available in the campsite.

box office is in between the entrance gates and the general store.

No issues finding them onsite either in the campgrounds.

how do folks enjoy Gorge pit (apologies for not backreading). similar size/larger than camden/jones beach pit? friendly people? easy to get in and out for bathroom/drinks?

a quick review would be fantastic!

largest on tour (or very close). Think Hartford/Alpine, but wider.

recent years it's been a LOT more crowded than normal, but always room at the back corners if that's more your style.

very friendly people. the vibe at the gorge isn't like east coast shows.

I did N1 and N3 in the pit in 2019 and had a rather nice, easy-going casual experience. Tho, I'm someone who strolls maybe 20-30 before the band takes stage, A-okay with everyone rushing up to the front and them finding some room behind them.

Tho - I said that in here before and told I'm way off about it and that its a mess always. I only know my personal experience

yeah this is generally how i play it. get in to pit at 7:15-7:30. try to get center and end up in the back. as long as there is room to dance and its easy to get in and out for drinks/bathroom, then most likely worth it.

we have solid lowers for n1 and hoping to score some pits for n2 or 3.. lets see

I do know that we will arrive on Friday the next time we're camping in premier because there was no one directing cars where to go--people arriving Friday got to set up camp wherever the hell they wanted.

I can’t speak for gold but we always arrive Thursday (N0) in premier. Gives us a chance to set up, catch up with friends we haven’t seen in a year, party etc. Then you wake up N1 ready to go with no stress of getting to the gorge, setting up, pre gaming in time to make the show. N0 is always a good time!

Thanks, yeah I get all that. Our RV is all solar. 4 days would be a stretch but we can run it comfortably for 3 days.

Our setup time from parked to beer in hand is 30 mins.

I guess what I'm asking is what kind of traffic, waiting in staging, etc time should I expect arriving friday (N1) at say 10-11am vs Thursday afternoon (N0).

I heard that there is a landowner nearby that opens up his land for overnight parking. Does anyone know any additional details?? We have someone local wanting to camp with us for just one night and will be driving separately.
