The menu at all fast food chains are more or less the exact same. And none of them have really changed too drastically in the last....15 years? Although it can be annoying as all hell when one restaurant doesn't have something you had your mind set on (a lot of McD's along I-90 don't have the dollar menu around here, for instance. There's one BK near my house that just refuses to sell the Original Chicken Sandwich for some oddball reason.) So then it'd take me a minute to figure something out. But then again, I'd definitely be cognizant of the line behind me and order an old standby like a quarter pounder or something.

it's also when they're at the second window and sitting THERE for 10 minutes. and then they don't even receive that much food so you know what wasn't why they were waiting.

Speaking of irritants...that exact situation happened to me at bojangles! Apparently they "ran out of chicken filets" and had to wait for some more to be cooked. Probably 9/10 of the people in line wanted a chicken biscuit haha

This is more an issue with the restaurant itself. I know when I did McDs DriveThru back in my teens, the manager told us to get as many orders into the POS system and get them to the 2nd window to cash them out ASAP because the transaction time is sent to corporate and based on your volume and transaction time, that is what measured the "success" of the store. So, while this made the floor manager look good, it was at the expense of the overwhelmed kitchen and you the customer who had to wait for the backed up kitchen to get your shit out. Fucked up system haha.

Because they have to ask several different questions about several different items on the menu:

"What comes on the cheeseburger?"

"Can I get the cheeseburger without lettuce?"

"How many calories are in the cheeseburger?"

"Do you have a value meal?"

"What sizes does your value meal come in?"

I very rarely do drive-thrus, and generally only if it looks like there's one or two cars total. I feel like a dumbass sitting in those car lines. It's almost always faster to just go inside and come back out. You are often just sitting there in your car for all that time.

The exception being restaurants that intentionally shaft the indoor customers and only focus on the drive-thru.

Agreed completely. It also has the benefit of them actually getting your order right, which is not always the norm either way not to mention if there is a language barrier between you and the clerk you can just point to the menu until they figure out what you are ordering.

Also, I am a political junkie and the sheer amount of people who have announced they will seek the presidency is staggering. They are just hammering it over our heads on the news and the web. I would not even mind if there was a single candidate I thought was qualified but this list of people are virtually all people I would not want running a quickie mart let alone the my country, that goes for both parties!

I go back and forth on that. On one hand, LGBT acceptance stories are still a good idea since there are still plenty of people that make them feel horrible, not to mention do horrible shit to them. Also doesn't help that people like jeepkid are the ones that are always bringing it up in a negative way, so I have a knee-jerk reaction against that general douchebaggery.

But on the other hand, I still put that in the category of famous people gossip worship, which I can't stand. There are far more important things that should be this newsworthy.

Play the acceptance and everyone is a special flower game all you want. A man attempting to turn himself into a woman is weird. It is abnormal. It is not normal. That is a fact.

He is free to do what he wants. IDGAF, he is a weirdo, doesn't matter to me. People celebrating it and touting it as "omg she is so brave' is ludicrous and irritating.
