The thing though about the "canceled too soon"... wasn't there a sort of built in relatively short time limit on this series the way it was conceived. From what I understand Lynch never wanted to reveal who killed Laura, but did so under pressure from ABC, then ABC became annoyed when ratings plummeted after the shows hook was ruined. Season 2 goes off on some weird tangents, but comes together nicely in the end. I wish it would have continued (although Fire Walk With Me did serve as a nice prequel/sequel to the series).

Last time I checked. A few years ago. There is a yearly festival where the show was filmed. They have tours, pie eating contest and some of the cast shows up. Not sure if they still do it.

Finished Season 1 tonight on Netflix. Without a doubt one of the most original and enjoyable series I've had the pleasure of watching. The quality of storytelling and sense of style is just stunning. Special Agent Dale Cooper is the perfect combination of incredible writing and acting. AND the music is breathtaking. A 10/10 so far in my book.

Just finished the series. This is my first time watching anything David Lynch, and if all of his stuff is like this, I might have to marathon his work someday haha. I'll definitely be watching Fire Walk With Me soon though.

Was driving on the Olympic Peninsula over the weekend and stopped by the Kiana Lodge, which was the interior of the Great Northern Hotel in the show. It's a small place that hosts weddings and events. It's pretty crazy being inside because the wood is all the same and the rooms are instantly recognizable.

The real surprise however came when we walked out back and to see the view of the water and realized they had filmed one of the most famous scenes in the entire series there, the discovery of Laura's body wrapped in plastic! It was super awesome standing right where that was shot!
