Never been to NC but couldn't pass up this two city opening weekend. We hit the 2018 two-city Texas opener after the 2017 off-year, so this opening weekend is a given at this point. Cannot wait.

Decided to do Raleigh. Haven’t done a tour opener in over a decade. This seems like one not to miss.

Convince me that the two step run will be worth it, my head is set on just attending the opener and kicking it in Raleigh the next day.

If 2 straight days of dmb after 17-24 months depending on if you went to Vegas doesn't sound appealing idk if we can convince you.

Spend most of Saturday in Raleigh and then head on down to Charlotte in the afternoon!

Spending the day in Raleigh is where I’m headed.

I went to Charlotte a few years ago. Don’t need to go back.

Happy to spend more time in Raleigh.

Had no idea tickets were on sale, I joined the warehouse an hour ago to get them. Raleigh is my home venue so I got those and if I can score some good Charlotte tickets I will hit that as well.

Went to Vegas and AZ in 2020 while living out west. Then made a spontaneous move to Knoxville, so I'm hitting the NC Two Step shows this year. Can't wait!

Currently looking for closest hotels to each venue.

Not really walking distance ones in Raleigh and it's not really an area you want to stay in anyways. How far are you willing to be from the venue?

Agree with this. If it were me I'd head either south to the Garner area which should be cheaper or maybe head into the city if you want to pay more.

Garner is a good option. I have had ppl stay in Cary, I live right off exit 291 so 10 miles to exit 301 for the venue isn't bad at all.

How’s the acoustics/view in the lawn at Raleigh? Thinking about making the trip. Wouldn’t mind the lawn, but may shell out extra for reserved if the lawn is less than stellar.

Acoustics, in my opinion, are great - but the view is just so/so. Both are way better than Charlotte’s lawn however.

Can anyone give me a comparison of Charlotte and Raleigh? I’ve done Charlotte but contemplating Raleigh. Would like to get a sense of the tailgating, overall atmosphere and of course the sound at Raleigh (I see the sound has been discussed a bit).

Raleigh is the much better of the two imo. Nicer venue, better tailgating. There are alot of hotels, but none within walking distance and the venue is not in an area you would want to stay in anyways. You can go 5 to 10 minutes into Garner which is a decent size but definitely not anything special if you are looking for after hours fun. If you are looking for stuff to do after the show, you want to stay in downtown Raleigh which also is about 10 minutes from the venue. If you are looking for somewhere nice to stay that is cheaper than downtown, that has a bit of social life and is also close to downtown, I would stay in Cary which is where I live. It gets voted as one of the best and safest places to live all the time and it gives you great access to anywhere you would want to go. Any other questions just let me know.

I live in VA but plan on attending the NC shows. Was looking and it looks like currently outdoor venues are at 50% so I would be surprised if it isn’t outdoor 100% capacity since it is 3 months away.

Depends on what you're looking for. I am not a fan of the upper levels but that is where my seats are currently, I am gonna try to find others though. Shoot me a message if you are looking to tailgate before.

man... Raleigh is going to be ROCKING. It looks like a ton of people are ISO Pits for this show... a lot more than your average tour opener!

Hopefully it'll be livestreamed... I'd definitely pay to see it.

Staying at the Marriott city center in Raleigh. Getting in around 11am. What’s some spots to hit downtown before heading over to venue?

Seeing a couple of reserved seats available, but not under the pavilion. Wondering how these are from any Raleigh folk with experience? Wouldn't mind reserved, but once you get too far back, you might as well be in the lawn.
