Just glad to get this series behind. More confident in matchups vs. Philly or Atlanta.

Idk what happened tonight. Jrue and Middleton were brutal on offense. Giannis was great but Brook all around was maybe the best (or most important) player for the Bucks. He kept making plays all night.

Both teams basically played five guys the entire game which is nuts. Kudos to everyone. Durant is a legend

Jrue and Middleton were inefficient but both made huge plays down the stretch/in OT.

Except at the end of regulation when he didn't even attempt a shot, leading to OT.

So did he play well or not because he didn't attempt a fadeaway from the corner when the designed play probably wasn't for him?

Philly presents a lot less mismatches for Milwaukee than the Nets did. Sixers don't have the guys to play Lopez off the floor and render him useless on defense for half the game.

I just don't think Philly has the shot makers to make Milwaukee pay, especially with Green out. And I don't know how they can stay with the Bucks on offense if Simmons is attempting 10 shots over the course of two games.

Yeah ultimately they made enough plays despite their inefficiency compared to the Nets dudes.

Harden playing 53 on a bad hamstring is still nutty but he didn't have it.

This is basically the 76ers all the time. Embiid will get his, can Curry/Harris/Simmons be enough of a threat.

Hawks are so fucking weird who knows lol. They have 7 guys who can get 20 or 3 on a given night

Eight dudes played over 46 minutes (Griffin and Tucker slightly less but they fouled out). Just great stuff

i mostly agree, though i think Philadelphia will capitalize a ton on Milwaukee missed jumpers, the transition defense for Milwaukee i feel like waxes and wanes

on the other hand i think Philadelphia has enough weak offensively players that you can get away with playing guys like Forbes and Portis more minutes, hence get some more efficient offense like in the Miami series

yeah as much as Milwaukee was bricking decent to poor looks, the story for me was Brooklyn bricking really clean looks. partially due to exhaustion, bad hamstrings, good contests by Tucker/Lopez/Holiday...but i’d say Joe Harris’s bad shooting luck was a huuuuge tide turner this series and this game

Although at this point I don’t really mind who wins since the Nets are out of it.

    rewatching with a clear head

like Anthony said, Brook Lopez’s defense was awesome, just awesome. he looks the least tired out of everyone in 4q and overtime.

didn’t notice but him switching from Brown onto Griffin in the second half was huge . this eliminates Brown as a plus screener and diminishes Griffin as a playmaker

mercifully Clippers sticking with the same lineup as last game

the switching defense looks good, but Phoenix is spread out too and has better playmakers so i imagine the Clippers defense won’t be as effective. but they’re doubling Booker like they did Mitchell which is an interesting wrinkle

they’re in a 5 out against Phoenix switching defense (at least on the perimeter, not w Ayton), with quite a few places to attack (Payne, Booker)

    good start, here we go

Cousins a much needed offensive spark for their anemic bench but immediately the defense falls apart in conventional coverage

Saric having a rough time against him too lol. Craig and Johnson some much needed offense for Phoenix too

fun stuff, Phoenix starters tortured Cousins, and now their dribble penetration giving the Clippers tons of problems inside, they’re not accustomed to Payne’s speed and Booker’s inside finishing

Oh man, late 3rd, Jackson and George on fire, against not so terrible Phoenix defense either. Zubac surviving against Ayton on the other end, shooting luck getting away from Phoenix and their penetration has diminished somewhat

amazing game, Phoenix in full control- hopefully Paul returns on Tuesday but this buys him a little more time.

most importantly, Phoenix covers on last second free throws. pain

Huerter and Embiid are big time. neither team shooting well in the 1q, and Atlanta isn’t hitting the offensive glass. Philadelphia 124 ortg off live rebounds
