Over half the people in the crowd at a Wednesday night show in Bend, Oregon won’t even realize anything’s different. As long as there’s Dave Matthews and a band, I think they feel like they’ve held up their end of the bargain.

Lol that is completely different. The actual game that was sold is going on - this is a completely different concert your seeing.

Would this normally be sold as Dave Matthews Band or Dave & Friends? Fans are currently being charged for a much lesser value in my opinion

Come on this isn't even close to the same scenario that is expected in professional sports. The band should have announced this with plenty of time for people to have a chance to change plans, because they knew on Friday this is what was happening today.

With all due respect, I think you're in the wrong. You bought tickets well aware we were (and still are) in the middle of pandemic. We should feel lucky we are still getting concerts as many artists have cancelled shows/tours until 2022 or TBD.

You knew there was a possibility one or band members at any given point could test positive and not be able to play a show. Obv if it's Dave, show is cancelled but last weekend they got incredibly lucky with Buddy being able to go on drums. The show goes on.

Nice, there's plenty to fault the band with and considering they are doing all they can to still have shows and aren't in control of the things you are whining about I'm not going to fault them, their people doing social media has never been good

This is my only DMB show this year. Carter is the reason I decided to play drums 20 years ago, and now it's my career. All said, I am so fucking jacked for tonight. I hope Buddy has been putting in some work on some of the DMB catalog over the past 3 days and surprises us tonight. Nothing blows more as a musician than having one of your A list players out. Really appreciate the dudes giving us what they got. Let's party!!!

We will continue to get tested daily and plan to keep the tour going even with the rest of the band and additional musicians if available."

Exactly. I wouldn't be cool with paying DMB money for a half Dave solo or Dave and Tim show, least when your paying for those your in a more intimate setting or know what your getting atleast

Yeah not even close.to the same situation and the band was way more up front about that. If you aren't on the boards or follow the band show to show you had no idea til Dave came out just now what you were getting and that is a bad look.
