Reno proper in one of the Casinos? Grand Sierra Resort gets a lot of summer tour stops.

Scratch that they played at UNR in 1996.

Possibly, Sunlight Supply Amphitheater, but idk what makes it "Cinderella".

There is a new venue in Montana called KettleHouse but I do not think it's anywhere near big enough for DMB. With that said, it looks amazing.
    Montana would be amazing!!

Playing 20+ years ago probably would not eliminate Reno from that tip. If they play Reno though, they aren't going back to Harvey's in Tahoe, which I understand sells out every year.

Technically the castle in Disneyland is Sleeping Beauty. Cinderella Castle is in Florida. If that was meant as a direct clue it missed the mark.

When I hear the phrase Cinderella "something" it makes me think of a rags to riches sort of situation. I'm not sure how that would apply to a venue though so I'm assuming it was meant more as a fantasy location. For this fanbase that would probably be Red Rocks but they have obviously played there.

I'm wondering if this could be a hint at a new Empire Polo Club festival. They hosted the Desert Trip there a couple of years ago. I checked and it doesn't look like the band has played Palm Springs or Indio, California before.

Although if you want to be cheeky with a rumor, this line-up hasn't played a lot of places....

I went there for the first time this year. It was packed. I would think if they play the Reno/Tahoe area that would be the spot. I was just throwing something out there since the rumor said never played the city before.

Throwing my guess out - Big Sky Brewery Summer Series in Missoula, MT.

They have had big bands there before- Modest Mouse, Wilco, Bob Dylan. It looks pretty amazing.

Is MT considered West Coast though? It's not really on the coast...

    no idea about the venue/rumor

but a lot of people call pretty much everything west of the mississippi "the west coast"

I would love to see DMB in Fenway. I'm from IL and I would travel for two nights of that. I would not travel for two nights at Mansfield.

That venue in MT looks awesome.

    What about Coachella?

agreed mansfield typically sells well, a fenway show wud be a travel destination show and surely sell out. Lets hope

Fenway has come a long way with hosting concerts. They seemed to have finally figured out the sound and how to set up the stage properly

They can't even sell out the amphitheater.

Last i checked, wasn't that show they played last in St. Louis at almost 50% sold?

Every year we get stadium rumors and every year they don't pan out. It's very unlikely. I'll be at Fenway if they play it, but definitely not holding my breath.

I don't know that a full stadium tour is a possibility, but doing Fenway and Wrigley is doable. People will travel to those. I don't see people traveling to Kauffman Stadium.

They won't sell them out, that's for sure. I guess they don't have to, but IMO it seems like stadiums are a thing of the past.

I would think Waikiki Shell or somewhere in Mexico are probably the best bets. Didn't we have a rumor about some shows "south of the border"

Guess Coachella could make sense too if they run the festival circuit in April and hit Jazz Fest, Beale Street, and Coachella but I don't know if they're necessarily the Coachella type

Wrigley and Fenway would sell out. At least Saturday shows would. Fridays would be close. And they'll sell more tix in one night at Fenway than they would at Mansfield.

They did not sell out either night at their home venue - a show people definitely travel for - more than most shows. I believe you are overestimating their draw these days. They barely sold out MSG. It really wasn't even sold out. They released a shit ton of tickets the days leading into the shows. Tickets were going for $9 for Cville N2. There was no market/demand at all.

They'd sell out Fenway before Wrigley, but I still don't think they'd sell out either.

    2019 Tour Rumors

I don’t really count Fenway as a typical stadium show. It’s small and much lesser bands have sold it out. And a good portion of the crowd is there for the nostalgia of Fenway park

They didn't sell out both nights of Citi Field in 2010. They didn't sell out PNC in Pittsburg in 2010. Wrigley Field has give or take the same capacity as Citi Field. I can't find any other 2010 or earlier box scores.

dead and company will play stadiums at 70-75% capacity. you don’t need to sell out a stadium to play there and make money. i assume they will keep playing amphitheatres till i see anything different though

How much of that was due to the holidays? I would have loved to go to Cville again, but a combination of no vacation days left and Xmas spending, it wasn't a possibility.

That had something to do with it. Plus they oversaturated the east coast all year with an album tour. People weren’t really clamoring for more.

The high cost of uppers along with WH sticking members with uppers they don’t want when they request pit/lowers has a lot to do with it too.
