Re: Live Trax Vol. 51: Post-Gazette Pavilion

Happy with this release, this show has some great moments. Also, another one I was at to add to the collection plus both recordings aren’t the best. Did the Camden run and flew to Pittsburgh after and I thought it was a decent show.

It’s not 8-8-07 but we can only hope they put that out soon. In 20 years and over 100 shows I feel fortunate to say that at least 5 shows I was were released.

I think 2007 is one of the worst years ever. The band sounded flatter then shit in that tour. Probably because they hated each other at that point, and they were just going through the motions. Plus the setlist were really awful that year.

2007 is probably the worst year for the band, it almost all came to an end, by far the worst show I've seen was in '07

Is there anywhere to read about what happened in 2007? I never properly looked into it. It was a few years before my time as a fan.

A lot of it is on the making of Big Whiskey videos on YouTube, Dave and Carter talking about how bad it got. LeRoi asked Dave to be more of a leader and he didn't think he could be and there was a final meeting that was supposed to be the end of it all.

That's just what is on the documentary but you could also see it, complete lack of commitment in their playing and I remember several people after the show I saw saying something seemed off with them overall.

They really screwed the pooch on this one. 8/8/07 was an amazing show during one of the band's lackluster years. Was hoping for that one eventually in this series but it seems even more unlikely that they'll release it when now they'll have already released the show directly after it.

2 days earlier 8/8/07 Camden would have been a much better choice. And we don't even need that one, either.

This is a big head scratcher for me. If it's not 10/2/07 Hollywood Bowl, 2007 is not a year that needs to be released again.

    That's not how it works.

I would imagine this show has been ready for potential release for years and has been considered multiple times, but passed on for other shows. It's time finally came it seems.

As for the release itself, I'm surprised because it feels like we got that other 2007 show fairly recently, and there are a lot of other years that I figured would come first before another '07, but I'm not overly disappointed or excited either way. A lot of songs sounded really good in 2007 so it should be a pretty decent pick. (Feels like we're even further from an eventual Hollywood Bowl 10.2.07 release now, though. Dang. I can't see that happening anytime in the next few years because of this one being released.)

This, and they just released that 2018 show from the Hollywood Bowl as well.

A surprising pick for sure. There were better shows at this venue, let alone the year. BUT, like always, I'll listen first before poo poo'ing on it. There are many Live Trax shows I've been disappointed with the announcement then come to love the show after hearing it.

2007 seems well covered except a couple spots. If you're digging into that year and its not Hollywood Bowl or Camden N2...then...why? There was a European Dave & Tim tour from that year, I'd take one of those for a release.

On the positive end, I'm looking forward to Seek Up, #27, Idea, Shotgun, Sweet Up & Down and that encore. So its not all bad.

I agree this is the likely case. Disappointed because this means another show that's ready will have to wait for another day.

The set is essential a classics show minus ABI, And the 2 new songs that debuted that year. Blows away this nonsense

Is there a reason 10/02/07 has not been released? I cant imagine management really think we would rather have most if not all of the 07 shows over that hollywood bowl show. Also with the train that perhaps the worst part of this release is that it absolutely pushes us further away, if not permanently away from ever getting 10/02/07. All thing considered, it's a poor pick for a release and 07 mostly stinks. SAD!

It's been said in here but Camden 07 and Hollywood Bowl 07 are the two 07 shows worth releasing.
