Yeah, but the site lists is as a RSD Limited Run. I would think if it was exclusive to RSD it would say RSD exclusive. Any insight to what it means?

    Here's what I found:

"The most rare titles sold on Black Friday are the limited-run/regional focus releases, which are typically limited to less than 1,000 copies.

In contrast, the most plentiful titles on Black Friday are the “RSD First” releases, which will be sold at participating indie stores for a limited amount of time before they become widely available at other outlets."

So RSD First releases get a release later, RSD Limited Runs do not. I hope I'm wrong, but it looks like that is the case.

Was just gonna say this. I mean I don't know much about how RSD works, but looking at that on paper, Id take it as the RSD Exclusive releases are only for RSD and something labeled otherwise might get another round of them. I'm still gonna hold my hopes that the Warehouse will do some sort of limited release on these. It's pretty ridiculous to limit these to 1000 each.

Chad, do you recall how Live Trax 1 was labeled? I recall that had an even smaller number of 500.

...Then we saw another very limited round of it through the warehouse of 1000 copies.

Well, I found LT4, it’s labeled as RSD Exclusive and that got a WH release later

Ok, this is good to know. I'm just having a hard time believing we won't see something from the Warehouse. Especially that close to the holidays. Thanks for digging into this!

I agree with you about the color. I could care less about the color of the vinyl. All I want is the music haha. My argument with these highly limited first releases, we still saw a WH release from most of them.

These ones are white, but I don’t think it as to do with that. Luther and Red Rocks were both colored and listed as RSD First, and then WH put out black ones.

The Live Trax were also colored but listed as Exclusive. WH still put them out in Black. So I don’t think color effects the status “exclusive / first run”

Captain, you are right I missed the white variant on the site. I am guessing RSD ones are white and we will see a traditional release later that are just black.

BT, since you're keeping the ISO list - maybe make a note by each persons name as to what they're looking for. I think most of us are looking for both, but Groz above posted they're just looking for Trax 94.

    Has RSD-First always stayed true?

I'm feeling optimistic we'll see a traditional release (black vinyl) from the WH for the Holidays that will still be limited like the Live Trax releases. With what were seeing on the RSD Label is the color variant of it being "RSD Limited/First/Exclusive/etc."

Luther and RR were Sony Legacy titles tho and thus saw wide release, LTs and DMBLive series are Bama Rags independent releases.

This is an interesting shift in direction. It appears as though the Live Trax series being pressed is on hold or over. Has management given any indication of their vinyl release strategy?
