Salary dump? Sox are taking on more than what’s going out.

I have no horse in this race, really, but JBJ was one of the worst players I've ever seen in a Brewers uniform.

Make of that what you will.

I’m hoping this lockout does not extend into spring training. On the fence about heading out to Phoenix to catch a few games.

no peak. no accumulation. if jon lester makes the HOF, it devolves into "here's a group of guys who you probably remember watching play at some point"

I wonder how many non-hof pitchers there are outside of Lester and Schilling that have 3 WS rings and were dominant in those games?

I mean a perfect comp is tim lincecum. lincecum has longevity issues just like lester, but was undoubtedly much much better at his peak than lester. both have three rings and pitched well in those postseason appearances. lincecum is going to fall off the ballot on his first year of eligibility.

Wow. I didn’t even realize how short lincecum’s career was. He was great to start out… then just faded.

Lester has a bit more longevity and nearly 100 more wins. I’m totally fine stating that I have bias. He was must watch for me while he was here in Boston.

Splitting hairs and Lester is a no for me but I disagree Lincecum was much much better, I mean, it's hard to be much much better than someone who is relatively unhittable in the postseason on the way to a championship

I'll take the two year stretch where lincecum was undoubtedly the best pitcher in the game, you can have the...5 starts from a few weeks in 2013
