If I had to rank my excitement for them:

    1. Benaroya
    2. The upcoming one
    3. Academy

It's not that one, but it is a really good show. Probably one of my favorites from the early DMB era.

Idk if you can answer this or not but Is it an already release show kind of like the ones announced today or something we don't have an official release for? Regardless, DMB's vinyl releases lately have been very strong. While I doubt I will be playing the Benaroya one very much (I pretty much only listen to vinyl with friends/during parties and feel like all that Davespeak could get annoying) still very cool to have both these shows on vinyl, pumped for BTCS and Come Tomorrow on vinyl.

Can't answer the first part, but I can say it will be received well. And it will make a nice spin after people listen to BTCS on vinyl (many for the first time!)

LT39 would be a good vinyl piece to have as a pre-oreder along with the BTCS reissue. Just thinking out loud. It would also get them out of the "LT 6 is next" continuity conundrum and put any of the remaining LT's in contention for "whats next".

Technical question for the less savvy person: I have btcs on vinyl already. Besides any bonus content or the collectability, will the new release play better than the original?

Very likely, yes. It should have a proper mastering specific to the vinyl release and will hopefully be sourced from the original master tapes and keep an all analog chain.

If done how Crash was, it should blow the 1998 copy out of the water!

Yeah, but crash never had a record released with the cd way back when.

Wouldnt the original btcs record have used the master tape source? Would this new release be like a remaster of the master?

(this is all purely guesses and semi-logical thinking)

No, in 1998 vinyl was an afterthought and likely was just the CD cut to vinyl...it was also at STERLING and nondescript matrices - had it been AAA it would likely have been George Marino and his initials would have been there.

AFTW also at STERLING, was CD cut to vinyl.

Ok, that clears up a lot. Thanks!

Hopefully the new release (if and when it happens) is using master sourcing and plays beautifully. That would cause the original copy to never leave the plastic sleeve again.

Also there's no mastering credit on the 1998 vinyl, so you can be 99.999999999% sure it was Ted Jensen's CD mastering.

12/3/98 as Live Trax 48 would be great to pair with this.

Or it's just another hype drive without any intent to deliver. You never know with this band.

MacHead or not, though, the BTCS anniversary release(s) will be very well received I think.

Er, was the person you? Because those BTCS20 bundles you dreamed up were fantastic. Praying for an 11.21.98 release in any format.
