Also, the average ticket price to see an artist/band live in 2019 went up to $96. DMB is below that.

Haha. In all my excitement about the tour announcement on Thursday it took me a while to remember there's no violin player anymore, but even that is small potatoes to me now. I just want live music again, damnit.

Oh yeah, if they can get it... go for it. I'm all for them making the most money they can. They've just priced me out of their product (which is over $125 for an actual seat in venues close to me).

I look at it like this - if other large tier rock acts are charging $125+ for the pit/close seats and DMB plays longer shows than them... I'm fine with DMB charging whatever they feel is appropriate, whether that's $125 or $140.

Exactly.

Again, my comments were about what I am personally willing to pay for DMB. I would pay that price (and more) for other acts. I've done it the last several years for DMB but I'm over it at this point.

CDC just said anyone vaccinated doesn't need to wear masks outside. I haven't worn a mask outside since 82 so it doesn't change anything anyways.

except they said you have to wear a mask in crowded scenarios (concerts, sporting events)

They said you should. That is a far cry from have to. Ill wear a mask when entering the venue if asked but other than that it'll be off or around my ear be ause ill be eating and drinking the entire show.

I chose the last option "I'm going protocols or no protocols" but I'm basing that decision on the fact that I'm vaccinated and the CDC said that vaccinated people can gather outdoors safely with non-vaccinated people within reason. If the show was tomorrow, I would still wear my mask, though.

Me and my wife will be fully vaccinated in the next 3 weeks so covid doesn’t have any factor in this.

With genesis coming and only doing 1 night DMB will prob not happen. Sets would have to be out of this world good. Zero chance of that
