I'm the biggest Carter fan there is, and this was even too much/creepy for me. Horrible to just bombard the guy with that many questions, especially with his fiancé.

exactly... Let's not post this type of stuff here. I'm not supportive of these types of things. I think DMB members do an excellent job of laying low. Not much for the press to bite into in terms of personal lives, drugs, partying etc... Whereas other celebs might feed on it and encourage it even, even when they say they don't, I'd like to respect their privacy because they value it.

As a very non-celeb, if someone did this to me I would super annoyed. Who wants to be jumped off guard with a camera in their face asking non sense questions?

Eh I don’t know. The only cringeworthy moments were the dude’s transitions from one question to the next. Carter was really gracious tho; wouldn’t expect anything else.

I found the interviewer extremely annoying, maybe not creepy. Not a huge fan of adults acting like that. No problem with him stopping him to say hi, but let the man go about his business. Either way, Carter is awesome.

People rightly finding this cringe worthy should keep this in mind when pressuring sources to cross boundaries with their connection to the band to get information.

I don’t agree with jamming cameras in peoples faces, and Carter is obviously a pro of pros that’s been experiencing this for 25+ years—probably just a mode he can switch into at this point.

I completely agree, I would give a lot to have a 30 second conversation with Carter, but not like this. Backstage at a show is a different thing - where it would be acceptable to stop and say hi. This is just too much, and I felt bad for Carter here.

But, Carter could have ignored him and told him no thanks. Carter *seemed* totally OK chatting with this guy. I think we’re making this a bigger deal than it needs to be. Just my $.02.

I don't want him or anyone else to publicize how he knew, but that is what I wonder because it really did seem like he was just laying in wait... And it looks like NYC which is a big damn city so... I dunno, creepy.

He probably isn’t a fan. He’s a paparazzi. “Biggest fan” is what they say to everyone, just look at his other videos. He was probably waiting somewhere for him, like they do for all celebs. He did handle it all well, most non-major celebs do, because if they don’t, the headline becomes negative clickbait. These folks are out in droves stalling out hotels and hot spots….scummy job IMHO.
