Does anyone know if all the Moderators are ok? It was a crazy year last year and no new updates to the main page since the cancellation of the 2020 tour. Just hoping they are all healthy and doing alright.

As far as I know they are all ok (someone can correct me if I am wrong). I assume most just have stuff going on in their lives and cannot attend to the forums like they used to. There is a discussion about the home page here: https://antsmarching.org/forum/showthread.php?t=354806

It seems that most consider forums a kind of outdated way of accessing news (with social media, DMB's website, email blasts, etc.) and that is why the homepage has not been updated.

the other thread was asking why there havent been any updates on the homepage in over a year. this one is asking about the general wellbeing of the people who operate the site, siting the lack of updates as a reason to wonder if everything is ok with them as people.

What does everyone consider Reddit then? That’s the ultimate forum right?

The moderators (bold black names) have no control over the home page. We can write articles, same as any of y'all, but only the admins (bold blue names) can post them.

Forums are a great place for learning about DMB news. The homepage is not. Because this:

Yup. Forums are a thing of the past, unfortunately. I'd rather be on a site like this than Reddit, Facebook etc.

I haven’t been on Facebook for years. Strongly prefer this forum. Reddit is ok but not great IMO.

this forum was like twitter before twitter, but yes i havent been to the homepage in years. mostly use tapatalk being the reason why

I only use the forums and tour central features on this site.

The only way I would know if there was an update to the front page is if there was a push notification from the Hub app.

I'm really just happy the the forums are so active so late into this band's career. Keeps me coming back.

Agree, the forums are the only thing I look at here, and the layout is much preferred to that of Reddit, though I’m trying to learn how to navigate it better.

This is the only forum website I still look at

All my other interests that I used to look at forums for have moved to Reddit as well as FB groups

Same here, though I'm on the nDMBc side.

Lots of 20yo communities shutting down because forums are no longer in fashion. Like you said, its reddit or FB now. And I love reddit, but it's not the same.
