"DMB: Inside & Out" (Grammy Museum Exhibit)

The GRAMMY Museum® proudly presents Dave Matthews Band: Inside and Out, launching upon its reopening on Friday, May 21. The exhibit will run through fall 2021.

Dave Matthews Band: Inside and Out explores the nearly 30-year history of the band. The new exhibit highlights the band’s accomplished career and commitment to positive social change.

Exhibit highlights include:
Dave Matthews' Chet Atkins guitar
LeRoi Moore's tenor saxophone and penny whistles
Carter Beauford's 1990s-played drum kit
Stefan Lessard's Modulus bass guitar
Handwritten set lists, lyrics, recording studio notes, and drawings
Various ephemera from the band's history – flyers, posters, tickets, tour credentials, and more
And more!

Established in 2008, the GRAMMY Museum is a nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating a greater understanding of the history and significance of music through exhibits, education, grants, preservation initiatives, and public programming. Paying tribute to our collective musical heritage, the Museum explores and celebrates all aspects of the art form — from the technology of the recording process to the legends who've made lasting marks on our cultural identity.

For more information, visit www.grammymuseum.org, "like" the GRAMMY Museum on Facebook, and follow @GRAMMYMuseum on Twitter and Instagram. In compliance with local COVID protocols, museum tickets must be purchased in advance at http://grammymuseum.org.

No played violin, smoked e-cigarette, mesh t-shirt or previously worn pube displaying pants from Boyd Tinsley to display?

Or is that being saved for the True Reflections Album 30th Anniversary exhibit?

Sounds like a great collection. Maybe they’ll put it on display somewhere else. Can’t imagine getting to the west coast this year

Do they let people take videos or photos inside? Would be cool to see some of the studio recording notes but theres no chance I'm making it out to the west coast any time soon.

He's not mentioned in the press release but I'm sure he'll be part of the exhibit. It would be disrespectful bullshit if they try to erase him from the band's history.

Kick him out of the band? Fine. Not replacing the violin? Shitty. Not even representing his history with the band? Ludicrous.

Boyd was included in the R&R Hall of Fame ballot thingy, right? He was also apart of the Grammy thing with So Much to Say (he even co-wrote it) so I have to assume he'll be included in some fashion.

This fan (Doug Kulk) made a short, quite enjoyable - and much self-referred - YouTube video with the highlights of the exhibit and some clips of interview with the curator
