I would expect a W2 is what I’m saying.

These companies business is conducting surveys, etc. I would not assume they are paying you under the table. Even if it’s cash, and they literally give it to you under a table.

Sounds like Steng has been doing this a while so, if they don’t give W2s I guess some do. But better safe than sorry.

My wife and I got to watch a Zach Morris sitcom when in Universal two years ago. Got $50 total for the two of us for about 20ish minutes of work.

It was definitely bad and cringeworthy. The pilot episode is about Zach Morris and his wife and their best friends having tickets to some concert (think it was Beyonce or something like that) and their babysitter was hot. The two dudes go to the car because the one guy thinks the babysitter was in porn and then eventually all 4 of the adults are in the car watching porn then the babysitter comes out like wtf are you all doing. At least thats how I remember it

The founder has a legit background. He was named to Forbes 30 under 30 in Science (2017) and was a fellow for the American Heart Association.
His board has members from the American Cancer Society, etc., and the thought behind it is legit. Medical research studies can have a hard time finding people for their study, which causes them to have to stop.

To each their own. Just the idea of selling something so personal doesn't sit right with me. Call it paranoia, fear of Big Brother, etc., but selling my personal private information for chump change screams bad idea to me.

But I could be just paranoid.

If the right people wanted to find out your medical data, they could / would.
Selling some saliva for medical research isn't going to change that.

I work for a medical device company that relies on research.
Not finding the right participants can kill your study, your research and your advancements in the medical field. I've participated in medical research studies in college, so I really see this as no different. This just connects medical research nationwide vs. the need to find qualifying participants in your geographical area.

I signed up.
I guess we'll see if I decide to do it if I'm matched to a study, but I really have no concerns about it. But, I'm probably too much of a realist (or paranoid) that I already assume people that want that information on me already have a way to get it.

So on top of making a quick $135 cash last night, I didn't even have to do the work! Showed up right at 5:15 when they said we had to be there by and they had already brought the group back to start. Every other time I've gone, I guess for control purposes, they leave 2-3 people out of the group and just send them home. Well, last night was my lucky night. Got out by 5:25 with an envelope full of cash and was home by 6 for dinner. Doesn't get much better than that!
