Yup, I did the payment plan as well for both SPAC shows and my temp is $500 even.

Sorry to be a party pooper, but I put in for both SPACs last year. We got a $500 hold, but only got confirmed for N1...so there’s that.

I think it's all just proof that, as others have already pointed out here, temps are 100% meaningless for anything other than showing your credit/debit card was entered correctly.

You guys seeing $500 for PP temps is because your grand total is low.
My grand total is like $1800 and the temp is the full 40% which was like $650
If your 40% is under $500 then you see $500 because that's the minimum charged needed to PP.
Doesn't make much sense but that's how they do it

If temps mean nothing, why do you some cards get temporary charges for the max amount, and some for a lesser amount (i.e., $85 tickets instead of $115)?

The least common Temp/Confirm combination is; Temp for a lower amount / Confirmed for the higher amount. Once confirmed for the lower amount you aren't going to get the better seats (although some have said it's happened to them).

So the theory is, the WH runs Temps for the number of Pit ticket they have, probably even run it for more than they have to build a cushion, but eventually move to the next pricing tier for a high demand show, and so on. So some people Temped for $115 are going to move to $85 for a show where supply exceeds demand; and some people are just going to see the $85 Temp even though they requested $115. And then there are some people Temped for $115, and the Temp changes to $85 (maybe the "cushion" people), and either the person noticed both Temps or never saw the $115 Temp.

Regardless, you can get Temped and not end up with any tickets, which is why it doesn't matter

Got one temp for a series one...again, it means nothing. They need to figure out a better way to do this, like uniform $50 or 100 charges on all cards. No hopes would be gotten up and we'd all just know it was the process. Instead we get this little game, although I believe it to be unintentional.

Out of 5 years, the only year I got nothing was when I had zero temps. With my OCD, less than 1% chance I entered my card wrong and near zero Cap1 stopped a charge. Outside of that, I agree temps mean you could get less than full charge.

too true...I just want to know what I do or don't have without the suspense so I can figure out if I have to try the Citi-presale or the public sale. Both of which I'm dreading with this new waiting room crap, which seems like it'll fuck us out of tickets more than help us secure anything.

I tested it with a Phish on sale for fun, it's worse. You could at least refresh and search like a maniac before and come up with something. If you don't get in with the waiting room, flat out of luck. It only helps people that had no clue what they were doing in the past.

Do folks get random confirmations before the "official" date? I remember some folks last year implying this (saying they had been confirmed when I was still awaiting details), but not a huge amount.

Maybe they were watching their accounts more closely and saw when the full charges were placed on their CCs?

Can you get in the waiting room early, or does it only open at the allotted time (e.g.: 10:00AM EST)?

Folks here were saying something about getting in early which seems to make the process less equitable. Better a free for all at exactly 10AM rather than folks trickling in from whenever and being queued until the doors open...at least from my perspective.

I get that they're trying to avoid the crashing that can/does happen with high demand acts. People get incredibly angry when they are almost done with the process and then the system crashes...as we can all surely appreciate.

You can get in early, but they don't let you in in the order you got in the waiting room. At 10am, they let people in via random order (allegedly.)
In addition to that shit show, you can't just try to pull tickets anymore, as far as I can tell. You're just picking tickets off the map/list and they're almost always gone when you click on them so you get stuck in this awful and endless "Those are gone, how about these? Oh those are gone too how about these?" loop.


I'm not even going to bother. I just don't care enough anymore. I'll get something decent through friends or off the boards. Or I won't, and I'll stay the fuck home.

For one thing, some people probably just don't care enough to have this memorized (like me). Second, I'm not entirely sure it's true. People posted yesterday that they got hit with temps for spac for lower than the full amount. I got hit this morning for temps at the max amount.

Why are we assuming DMB will utilize the waiting room? The waiting room was around last year and they didn't use it. Does TM do it for every show now? A lot of the ticketmaster things have to be opted into by the artist (like platinum seats).
