Re: What made you happy today?
Few weeks ago I bought a first edition (1967) copy of the book called "The Unlikeliest Hero." It is a ghost written autobiography of Cpl. Desmond Doss (CMOH, ww2, PTO) - he was the lead character in Hacksaw Ridge for anyone who doesn't recognize the name. The book is in great shape, the dust cover is perfect and wrapped in Mylar - whomever owned this prior to me really took care of it. Anyhow, I was putting it away after I finished it today and the dust cover fell off and at first I was annoyed at myself and concerned that perhaps I had ruined it somehow - I didn't. Anyhow, when that cover fell off an index card also fell out, turned out that index card was signed by Doss himself and had his home address - apparently he mailed it to the person who previously owned the book. So yeah, that made me pretty darn happy today!
