Re: New York Giants

I'm a big Giants fan this week. I'm looking for your team to beat the Falcons, so mine can get closer to that division lead. Atlanta's defense is much improved over last year..but I think the Giants offense is good enough to put up..27 or so points on it.

Looks like he made a nice contribution this week. How about those G-Men?!?!? That was a great second half!

HUGE win for the Giants. I really didn't believe they would go into the dome and pull out a win but they did. A total of about 525 rushing yards in the game from both sides, that's crazy.

It sets the stage for an even bigger game next MNF @ Dallas.

They gotta win the next 3 games. Dallas, Tampa Bay, Houston. Then the big game against Chicago.

Huge game this week. The G-Men need to put pressure on Bledsoe's old ass early and often. Hopefully Eli can shine on the national broadcast.

Tiki leaning towards possible retirement at season's end.

That'd be shame. He's got a few great years left IMO but he'll do great things whatever he does off the field as well. He's been an all-time Giant and it'd be sad to see him retire early.

^ Damn that sucks. I understand that he has plenty of opportunities outside of football, but after the way he ran the ball last week it would kill me to see him go. Gotta give the man credit though, he will certainly be one of the best in New York Giants history.

I could sympathize if he has those feelings.

He had said in preseason that if they won the SB, he'd retire the next day. Maybe he just doesn't see a title coming out of this team in the next 3 years and has come to accept it.

I highly doubt that is his reasoning for his retirement. He was on Jim Rome a few months back and said that he didn't want to end up like Marshall Faulk, who is going to have health issues his entire life because he played too long.

the Giants are ballin on D, and running on the O. I expect them to go into Dallas and win monday night. And then crush the Bucs and Texans. Leading to the show down with the Bears.

Yup. Guys like Tiki, and the well dressed Amani Toomer, Strahan, these guys are, like you said what it means to a New York Giant. As Coughlin said after the Eagles game, he saw a bit of that New York Giants pride, and hopefully that was the start of it and we'll continue to see it this season.

    Re: New York Giants

some of the things I would like to see the rest of the season (and also things I think they need to do to make the playoffs and more):

    1) First thing, Eli needs to be more accurate with his passes. Burress is tall and has a great vertical leap, and yet, he continues to throw it over his head, even when he is wide open.

    2) The secondary needs to do a much better job. They didn't really get tested last week in Atlanta, because the Falcons are more of a rushing team. But they will get tested this week, having to defend T.O. and Glenn. They can't be leaving receivers wide open like they have been. They did a better job against the Redskins in not letting Moss do too much, and this needs to continue.

    3) Feely can't missing field goals like he has been. So far, it hasn't mattered that he has missed some, but if it keeps up, it will come back and hurt us.

the big key for Monday night is to pressure Bledsoe and contain T.O and Glenn. We did a good job of pressuring Vick last week, so hopefully that will carry over. If we can do what we did against the Redskins in not letting Brunell do much and containing Moss, we should be in good shape. Hopefully.
