    Good for Disney.

Some scenarios a past should define you, but this scenario it should not. We all make mistakes. He apologized and had proven growth. No need to hang that over him for the rest of his life, especially since he didn't actually do anything.

Took my boy to see Capt Marvel, 2nd time for me. To say it's the worst Marvel movie is a wild stretch, IMO. Granted I never read the comics or anything but I really enjoyed it and still think it's one of the better origin movies. To each their own though.

Also I can't wait for Endgame!

And this James Gunn news it seriously making my day!!

so this youtuber "slyfer2812", he's one of a main group of these insanely talented fan edit trailers/tributes that have been getting made for awhile. Another one, the GaroStudios is who made that really cool Jon Snow/Aegon video that I posted in the Game Of Thrones thread the other day (the Russos themselves have retweeted some of his Marvel work before).
anyway this guy, he'd been touting for almost a month now this whole 10+ minute long "Road To End Game" epic compilation he was putting together, and he finally published it today. It even has a really sweet Stan Lee tribute at the start.
Yes, it's a bit long when it comes to the best youtube fan edit stuff, but this is kind of a special occasion, and I think it just blinks by anyway

    Black Panther 2 (TBA)
    Doctor Strange 2 (TBA)
    Shang-Chi (TBA)
Guardians of the Galaxy 3 (TBA)
    Pretty much set in stone:

    Spider-Man: Far From Home (7-5-2019)
    Black Widow (5-1-2020)
    The Eternals (11-6-2020)
    Black Panther 2 (2-12-2021)
    Doctor Strange 2 (5-7-2021)

    Untitled movie #5 (11-5-2021) — Likely Shang-Chi
    Untitled movie #6 (2-18-2022)
    Untitled movie #7 (5-6-2022) — Likely Guardians 3
    Untitled movie #8 (7-29-2022)

Spider-Man has been a summer movie. So unless they don’t re-up with Sony then #8 will be Spider-Man 3. Leaving movie #6 to be Ant-Man 3 or Captain Marvel 2. Looking at the box office I’m leaning Captain Marvel 2.

Starting in 2023 I’ll expect to start seeing X-Men, Fantastic 4, and Deadpool movies.

I know Black Widow has a female director lined up, Scott Derrickson is back for Strange, The Eternals starts shooting August of this year, Shang-Chi just landed a director, and Gunn is back for GotG3. I agree that Spider-Man is likely that July spot. I'm still unsure about the whole Deadpool existing in the MCU thing.....

We know from what Disney/Feige have said:

    1) Marvel Studios will take over making Deadpool movies
    2) Deadpool will continue being an R rated movie

If he pops up in the Avengers he won’t be R rated in those scenes, but he can easily break the 4th wall and make fun of his restrictions. It would seem like a waste to make Deadpool exist in his own cinematic universe, but who knows.

Less excited about that lineup compared to when they announced their phase 3 slate if I am being honest.

That being said I have enough trust in the MCU brand to know I will enjoy them.

So at what point do we think they stop making MCU films? When they stop raking in mountains of cash? I think it might be tough to continue its popularity now that the big guns will be gone and Avengers assemble films are no longer going to be made.

I think avengers films will still be made just a different lineup.

    Ignoring Neumdoggs troll comment.

They will make the movies until they lose money.

So a lot has been made of Tony’s “final” message to Pepper in the trailer and how he shows back up in the white suit. Everyone is assuming Tony is adrift in space at the beginning of the film, but what if that scene happens at the end after the Avengers have successfully defeated Thanos? Whatever transpired in the fight led him to be lost in space forever and that’s how his character arc ends?

I don’t think that’s a likely outcome, but it would be a great curveball from a studio that loves throwing curveballs based on what’s in their trailers versus what’s in the films.

MCU in its current iteration will eventually end, but gaining all the Fox characters they’ll have a lot of resources to pull from for a LONG time. Marvel Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm, Fox, etc. Disney will never have these companies stop making movies. Not to mention the merchandise and theme park components they provide.

I’m sure eventually they’ll ditch the shared universe for a while, and all the big name characters will be like Batman/Bond (constantly recasted, new directors). Given their pool of characters they could tell a story in any genre. So it’s hard to imagine there ever being a significant stoppage.

I'm more excited about this than I am about End Game tbh. Just make a bunch of fun standalone movies with different styles and aesthetics.

Got to see Cpt. Marvel this weekend. Certainly enjoyable. An above-average MCU film, but certainly not top-tier.

Whatever transpired in the fight led him to be lost in space forever and that’s how his character arc ends?

I don’t think that’s a likely outcome, but it would be a great curveball from a studio that loves throwing curveballs based on what’s in their trailers versus what’s in the films.
I may be crazy, but I don't think they've included any footage in the trailers that exists outside the first act.

Yeah, they are REALLY playing it close-to-the-chest with this one. not revealing much of anything. I like that.

I think maybe we will get one more trailer the day tickets go on sale. Something showing us a little more of the action than what we've gotten so far to get us salivating, ending with TICKETS ON SALE NOW. It's a marketing no-brainer, I think.

I’m inclined to agree with you, but the hair change with Black Widow better be a quick change if that’s the case.

Yeah her hair is all over the place.

Count me in as skeptical that all those characters will be walking together in the suits as they are in the trailer.....

The hair color probably has more to do with time travel than anything, no?

The shot when she has long red hair with blonde tips leads me to believe it's grown out and back to her "natural" hair color, but she's never been able to get rid of the blonde tips because every hair dresser in existence got dusted.
