I thought I read that Netflix was finally going to give in to user complaints and change it, but I guess not.

I've kept on with Netflix since joining it for the House Of Cards premiere, but I have to say, the number of big, high profile movies I keep discovering that it does NOT stream, it's ridiculous. It's been a little disappointing.

Agreed Kevin. It seems like Netflix is moving more towards TV show and competing with Hulu. My recommended lists are like 85% TV shows. They seem not to care as much about movies.

And indie flicks. There's a ton of good content on Netflix, particularly for the amazing price of $8/month.

Yea there is a lot of good stuff out there, I just wish they focused on new movies a little more.

Oh well, I guess you can red box a BluRay for 1.50. Not bad

Buy? What is this "buy" you speak of?

I dropped Netflix BD when movie studios began fucking them out of immediate release. I'm not waiting four weeks. So I use torrents now. Studios lose again.

Some of the recent big titles I can think of that I was told aren't streaming are Red Dragon, Se7en, Ghostbusters 1 & 2, Sneakers, and Backdraft. And there's been PLENTY more.

Mind you, do I already have each of these movies in my proper movie collection on disc? Yea, but that's not the whole point. Especially considering I'm paying a fee, it'd be nice the thought that I can simply open another tab in my browser and pop that title up because I feel like looking at it in that moment.

I saw the Hunger Games was in the New Releases section so I watched it last night, having never seen it. I wasn't blown away by it or the story. Why was this movie so popular?

Of course it's not going to be perfect, I'm just saying, for what it promotes itself to be, and the cost that goes along with it, I've been surprised at the number of big, well known movies that it doesn't stream, that's all.
