    Re: Official New Songs and Tabs Discussion

    I have American baby tabbed, i guess. its rather simplistic actually. something to the likes of this...

    American Baby
    Tabbed by Pat McInnis

    You can play this with the full chords if you want.
    Audio Clip
    E-----------------------
    B-----------------------
    G------7-----6----4--4--
    D-----------------x--x--
    A----5-----4------2--2--
    E--7-----5--------3--3--

    "Stay American baby..."
    Audio Clip
    E-------------
    B-------------
    G--4----7--6--
    D--x----0--x-- Repeat
    A--2----5--4--
    E--3----7--5--

    "I hold on to you..."
    Audio Clip
    E-----------------------------------------------------
    B-----------------------------------------------------
    G-------------------6h7-6------------------6h7-6-7/9--
    D------7-9---9-----------------7-9---9----------------
    A--7-9-----7-----9---------7-9-----7-----9------------
    E--------------7-----------------------7--------------

    The jam is the same chords as the chorus, but with a different rhythm.

    * NOTE: Tabbed by Pat McInnis

    I noticed however in the video that dave plays " I hold on to you... " at the 2nd and 4th frets and not positioned at 7 and 9. When played on the 2's and 4's it also gives the ending notes a higher pitched sound like in the song.

    From watching the "Late Show" performance I would tab it this way:

    E---------------------------------------------------------
    B-------------------2-3-2---------------------2-3-2-3/5--
    G------2-4---4-------------------2-4---4-----------------
    D--0-4-----2-----4-----------0-4-----2-----4-------------
    A--------------2--------------------------2---------------
    E---------------------------------------------------------

    * tabbed by Jonathan Sprang

    Didn't see it necessary to start a new thread for this, so i hope someone sees this here.

    On Joyride, the chorus is giving me fits.

    E:-------
    B:-------
    G:-9-----
    D:-9----- x4
    A:-9h11--
    E:-0-----

    how do you slide 9 to 11 while still staying on the G and D? I have tried everything that I can think of....it is probably something simple I ain't thinking of.

    Thanks

    Hopefully we'll see a P/V/G or V/G (note-for-note, tablature) books out soon for Stand Up! I know I'm looking forward to the books just for SAWG, OOMH, AB-Intro, EWU
    I'll try and contact the publishing company that did all the other books and ask if they have any plans on releasing it soon.

    after seeing all of the Hunger for the great light tabs start off as... i noticed on the screens during many shows that he plays it like this..

    the wrong way
    --3------3------------
    -----1---------2------
    ------------2--2------
    -----2------3--2------
    --2--3--2---3---------
    --3-----3---1---------

    the right way (from what i seen)
    --3--3---3-------------
    -----------------2-----
    -------------2---2-----
    -----2---2---3---2-----
    --2--3---3---3---------
    --3----------1---------

    tell me what you all think... thanks

    I know someone had already added this, but this is my personal transcription of Sugar Will, its a great song by the way... sorry about the weird spacing, I tried to fix it, but Its kinda weird...

    2nd time around(in chorus), skip last bar and play: (4/4 timing)
    E|----------------||
    B|----------------||
    G|-----2-----2----||
    D|-3-2---2-3---2-3|| *go back to fill*
    A|-5--------------||
    E|----------------||

    2nd fill: (7/8 timing)

    I am learning to play the bass and love DMB. Can someone give me the bass tabs to Dream Girl, if you want to add any simple DMB bass tabs too i would appreciate it. Thanks

    the best place to look would be www.Dmbtabs.com they have the most accurate tabs out there. And for the newer songs go to the message board section on Dmbtabs.com and you should find it on there and if you dont find what you are looking for after a search then post something and im sure someone will be glad to help you.

    peace and good luck
