He’s gone at least six in 10 of his 12 starts and most of the ten are 7 innings. I don’t know how much more you want him to do.

Plus, they had two back to back innings where the Twins batted around. Tough to stay warm when the team keeps scoring.

Plus the team won so who cares who got the W on the mound.

his era is trending up (one full run over the last six games), his strikeouts are trending down, and he's gone less than six in the last two with pc's over 100. the numbers still aren't bad. i'm not saying to sound the alarms or anything. but with that, and being spotted 15 runs and seemingly losing all control in the last inning he pitched, i just hope he gets back on track sooner than later.

You are talking ridiculously small sample sizes. Over the past 3 seasons Berrios has shown that he is at a minimum a strong 2 starter with the ceiling to be a legit 1. I hope he reaches that, but don't see any reason to be concerned about him long-term.

That Simmons injury was tough to watch lastnight. I at first thought he was being a drama queen with the 3+ rolls away from the bag but then when they showed the replay it looked pretty gruesome....Cannot believe that only ended up being a sprain.

Effectively Wild did a deep dive on their most recent Pod on the Twins

Essentially said their numbers support their record but it's not crazy to think it will fall apart at any moment because they don't have the talent or track record of a team like the current Astros

Grasping at straws? AL Central is a trash division and they’ve got a 10 game lead over a really average Indians team. Twins are legit and don’t have to keep playing .685 ball just to win the division. I’ll eat my words and kneel down in shame if they don’t hold on. No one in the league is as talented as the Astros when healthy.

I think the time off is coming at a good time. Hopefully we can get some guys healed up and refreshed.

The Cleveland series coming out of the gate on Friday is gonna be a big one.

Remember all those people who spent the AS Break telling us Cleveland would come out of the gates and sweep us and be right back in the conversation?

    They are now...

    [checks standings]

...1 game further back than prior to the All-Star break after 3 critically important games against the AL Central leading Minnesota Twins.

Just poking fun at the pundits that predicted an all out sweep at the hands of the Indians... Carry on.

Twins got fucked facing NY again....why do these horrendous calls from the umps that alter the course of the game ALWAYS happen against this team?

That Duffy pitch lost us the game. Say what you will about the rest.

Pretty much. I wish I was more upset after that game but it was just so crazy to watch.

You had that bullshit call in the 8th. And then after more fireworks, we still had our only reliable reliever out there 1 strike away from victory. Can't really complain.

That game should reaffirm our suspicions that we can't get past the Yankees in a playoff series without at least 2 great bullpen additions.

Cody Stashak who pitched yesterday is from our area. I've done a couple stories on him in the past. Glad to see he had a nice major league debut in a disastrous pitching game for the Twins.

Basically what our story running in tomorrow's paper said

Hey, getting called up to a first-place team is pretty neat. I hope he has the ability to stay. He's pitched really well for the better part of the last 2-3 minor league seasons. He started this year in AA.
