So they never actually released Slay and now he has agreed to a restructure/extension? Is that what happened?

I'm with you, i would have never given that $$ to Hargrave. He had a great year, but the prior 2 seasons we were waiting for this kind of production that never came. He's now 30, he got his big payday, i think it's a risky deal for SF.

3 years/$42M extension for Slay. Hopefully CGJ is next. Not sure where all this cap space is coming from. Looking forward to hearing from Howie.

and write of Mariotta too. Not sure if this makes us more or less likely to sign CGJ

No impact. They can absolutely sign CJGJ. Just a matter of the two sides agreeing to terms.

Guess they’re out of the running for a CB in the draft after signing Williams, which is fine. Howie continues to impress with his forward thinking moves. This team is gonna be here for a bit.

CJGJ probably comes back on a 1 year deal to hit the market next year

Got the 1 year deal part right, but wrong team. His agent screwed the pooch on this one. Supposedly we offered 3 years at 12m/yr and his agent thought there would be more money on the market
